The opposite of the awesome teachers thread.
We had one bitch of a teacher called Miss M. She was stern to everyone. The whole class erupted in thunderous applause when we learned she was leaving.
Mrs A- my Year 9 Music teacher. Thankfully I don't have to see her again, since Music is an option from Year 10 onwards.

That blows I had a teacher named Mr. S, and he hated me because I didn't bow down to the girls in the class that he put over everyone else. I also had a teacher named Mrs. H, She hated me cause I didn't want to listen to her brag about her children. Like I managed to break my ankle one month, and she told me to get over it and that I had to keep up with the other kids and only stay within one block, but when one of her pets SPRAINED her ankle, she personally pushed her around in the rolly-chair. This was in 4th grade too :/

9th Grade History Teacher: Talk about being totally uninterested in your subject. All he had was a projector with a list of stuff and droned throughout explanations. A tiny plus: he's rather overweight and had a chair that SQUEAKED constantly under his weight.
10th Grade Geometry Teacher: Self-righteous and incredibly cocky. If you tell her she got an answer wrong, she tells you to shut up. If someone sneezes and you say "Bless you", she tells you to shut up.
My chorus teacher and 10th grade history teacher weren't bad, but they're REALLY picky. They only pick favorites.
2D-Art professor: He announces everything during worktime, meaning he expects you to write down everything WHILE you're working on your piece. Sounds really uninterested in the art, and worse? HE DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH STUDENTS (never responds to emails).

My high school math teacher comes to mind. She had a reputation both among the students and among nearly every member of my family who had her. Oh, the stories I could tell...
For example, on more than one occasion she would make a mistake, then spent over a half-hour trying to figure out what she had done wrong. When someone eventually pointed it out to her, she would make up some excuse like "Oh I was just testing you to see if you would catch it." Bullshit you did!
But before her was my sixth grade music teacher, Mrs M. In my case, she always seemed to pick favorites between me and my brother. No matter what either of us did, he always got special treatment or higher marks than me. Such as during a music test, he made numerous mistakes, yet she let him take extra time to finish. I made 1 or 2 mistakes and she outright told me I was an idiot! Guess who got the higher mark?

I've had really bad primary teachers, but I don't want to get into them.
There was this guy from last year though, really rotten. Everybody dreaded getting him. He was a student teacher, even though he was in like his forties. I think that was the problem; he was too stuck in his ways. Which you can't really be if you're going to work with teens. So one day we got him for English. At this time, I'd listen to my MP3 player when going between classes. There's nothing in the rules against it, and I only ever got in trouble for it once by the headteacher (but he's just a stuck up ass, he's like that all the time). Problem was I had these headphones, since I can't use earphones, so it was obvious I was listening to music. So as we're packing up for class, with only two minutes till the bell goes, I take them out my bag and put them on. My MP3 player is still in my pocket, it's just my headphones that are out. Then this happens;
Teacher: take your headphones off. Me: they're not plugged in *shows wire, not attatched to anything* Teacher: I don't care, just take them off and put them in your bag. Me: But I'm just going to put them back on when I go out. Teacher: Take them off and put them in your bag. Me: *Finally gives up and starts wrapping them up* *Bell rings* Me: *gets up, puts headphones back on, getting ready to leave* Teacher: What do you think you're doing? Me: The bells just rang. Teacher: You're not leaving until you take those off and put them back in your bag. Me: But it's the end of class.
So then my "friend" Princess decided to "help me" by being rude to the teacher and pissing him off. He sent us both to the head of our year, after he mistook me being slow to respond as refusing to give my name. (That also bothers me, this guy had had my class like three times before, he should learned our fucking names by now. That or stayed out of teaching). The head didn't give me into trouble, which is probably because she has more common sense than him.
Other than that though, I'm quite lucky. Either all our teachers are just boring, or fun. We rarely get a bad teacher.

Well, there was my eighth grade homeroom/religion/health teacher. Okay, yes, I went/go to a Catholic school, but she's part of the reason why I'm no longer religious. She told us a few times that we would never get into Heaven unless we prayed a lot, went to church every Sunday and on "obligated days", and were generally good people, which doesn't really seem like much but she says it as if that's the only way (and how would she know anyways?). Then she made us memorize about seven different prayers overnight, and quizzed us on them (well, we only had to be quizzed on part of one prayer of her choice, but still...). She also kept comparing us to her last class, repeatedly telling us that they "'got it' in October and had so much fun!" and then she would call our class horrible.
Twice, she made us sit in silence. I can't remember what we did for one of those days, but I felt really intimidated by her. Then, the next day, she told us that we were stupid for not working on stuff while she made us sit in silence. The other time was when no one knew what "holy day" it was, and when someone remembered, she then made us think of what the point of said day was. All of the people who "always answered" were the ones who knew, so she got mad at everyone else for not knowing and the ones who "always answered" weren't allowed to tell. Gee, how are we supposed to learn if we don't even know?
She also always yelled at us for having "TV faces" (aka, blank stares). Well, are we supposed to be smiling while you bitch at us?
Oh, and she also broke her femur during Christmas break of that year, so she left us with a sub (who sucked, but didn't really do anything bad enough). When she got back around six weeks later, she was pissed. She said that one person came over to help her out, and two people called her to see how she was doing. She was mad because no one else did anything for her, or even called her. She made us make apology cards for her. Seriously. Maybe more people would have cared if she weren't such a bitch. Or maybe it just never crossed our minds to see how she was doing. I mean, sure, okay, I would be kind of upset if I were her and only three out of sixty kids asked to see if I was okay. But I wouldn't bitch at them about it for a whole class, and I definitely wouldn't make them make a freaking card for me.
...I hated her so much.
EDIT: Typo.

^What a bitch! Seriously, making the class make apology cards for her? That doesn't help her situation at all.
I haven't had any horrible teachers, but I've had Spanish teachers for the past 2 years that were nice, but completely incomptetent. Last year, this woman who was a former stockbroker used our class to throw "cultural parties" where we would just make her food. It was fun, don't get me wrong, but she didn't teach us anything like she said she would. She promised a difficult class, but all we did was eat and listen to her gossip about her favorite students and most hated fellow teachers.

I can't even remember her name. But she was subbing for different teachers throughout my elementary school years. She was a major bitch, since she freaked out on all of us if we didn't have the best handwriting.
There's also my old music teacher, Mrs.P; who would make us sing stupid songs (and not teach us anything about music) and made us all fail our exams. A friend told me that she almost got into a car accident trying to get to the school's winter concert. The teacher didn't seem to give a damn, but just freaked out on her for being late.

My 6th Grade English teacher.
She was incredibly sexist--she would pick on the boys and complain about how boys = SATAN INCARNATE, and if they didn't bring pencils to class, they'd have to dance in front of the class before she'd give them one, but the girls would get a smile and the pencil without having to do anything but ask. She also threatened to fail me once when I stood up for the boys. She only did it once, but I sill resent her for it.
She also told me that I was "making bad decisions that will lead me nowhere" when she heard me say I didn't want to be abstinent.
My 4th grade teacher--we didn't learn anything in her class. Prolly because she just droned on and didn't explain things. No wonder I was behind in Math in 5th grade--it's a good thing my 5th grade teacher was really fun and awesome.
My former drum teacher--god, she was like Lars Ulrich. I was a total n00b to drums at the time, but even I knew she sucked. She wouldn't even let me play during lessons, so I just dropped it because I wasn't really learning anything. Good thing I found Lloyd.

Oh yeah, I remembered; every single biology teacher in my school seems to be a bitch.
Mrs H - she used to be nice, but she has slowly become crabbit and bitchy since the start of the year. She berates us for not knowing stuff, and treats us quite dumb when we make simple mistakes while going about experiments. Hey, it's not my fault I haven't been practicing them since 1st year, our 2nd year teacher would rather just have us write them down than actually do them. And she's decided I'm a slacker. She was reading out something from the workbook, and there was nothing on the board to look at, so I read ahead in my workbook - she decided that since I was looking down I must not be paying attention, and gave me into trouble for it. Whenever I walk into class carrying a book, she tells me to put it away despite me having never been caught reading in class. When I get sick, I have this little kit that I use (tissues, nasal spray, soothers), she decided that I "didn't need it" and told me to put it away. Yeah, that's the stuff that stops me walknig into your class room sputtering with a cough and snot running down my face, lady.
Miss D - I don't get her, but my friend does. She apparently picks on her students, and hates my friend. To prove my point, my friend let another girl copy her answers and when they were handed in, the girl got the marks and my friend didn't. Despite having exactly the same answers. My friend pointed this out, and the teacher tried to nitpick, to which my friend said all the girl's answers had those flaws too. She would have probably said that the girl copied from her, but it was a NAB and she would have got in so much trouble for letting her do that. If I fail Mrs H class, I have to get moved down to D's. Fuck.

My first grade teacher was horrible. I had really bad hearing and speech problems when I was younger thus it took me a bit longer to get to the same level as my classmates, and this teacher called me stupid several times to my face. She did this a lot when I wasn't able to do 100 math problems in a minute (she made us to one of these stupid deals once every two weeks). I blame my hating math on my first grade teacher.

My fifth-grade art teacher decided the most mature and authoritative way to deal with the fact that nine-year-old me didn't want to finish a tessellation project was to repeat everything I said in a nasal, mocking voice. I didn't see the point in scrambling to finish this last project because I was leaving to move to another state later that day. I'm not saying that I was smarter than the entire staff of my elementary school at nine...
There was also the guidance counselor from the middle school who told me to fill out the course registration form anyway when she came to our class in fifth grade, despite the fact that I was moving and thus would not be attending that middle school. "Plans could change," she said. Uh-huh.

My 5th grade teacher, oh God he sucked.
One time he made a mistake, and one kid corrected him. His response? "D, if I pointed out your mistakes, your mom would be on the phone with me in a minute!" Excuse me? If you made a mistake, it's good that he pointed it out! Also, aren't teachers supposed to help kids learn from their mistakes? Another time, three kids in my class, myself included, missed recess because of a choir field trip. Our class was supposed to sit out at recess that day. So the next day, he said that we had to make up for the recess we missed and sit out that day, and I know that sounds like a petty thing to be upset about. But we would have missed it anyway! He did some other things, too, but this is what I can think of off the top of my head.

My 7th grade math teacher.
I hated that man. He would fail most of the class (yours truly included) for ridiculous reasons. We either: "fail to show our homework, were disrespectful", or he just plain didn't like us. And there was nothing we could do about it.
Just so you guys get an idea, 15 out of 51 would pass. It was bad.

My science teacher gave me fifty lines for learning a phrase as "Matter is something which has mass and takes up space" instead of "Matter is something which has mass and occupies space"
He's now my maths teacher and he's terrible at it.
My first year English teacher made me rewrite an essay on a short story because my opinion was wrong. Seriously. Ugh.

The teacher I had in Primary 1, Mrs C. We practised writing numbers by writing out 1-10 in numerals once every day and my teacher comes round and inspects my work. I had an odd way of writing the number 8 at that age: I didn't draw it like a traditional figure of eight, I drew it like a teardrop and an upside down teardrop. It still resembled an 8, though, so what does it matter? But how does my teacher decide to tell me how to write it normally? Does she show me herself and then I copy her and then we both do it at the same time? No. She decided to humiliate me in the worst way possible. She says: "That isn't what an 8 looks like. Go up to the board and point out the number 8." I go up to the board while the whole class watches me in silence, turn my back to the board and point upwards to the number 8. She says, across the room, while the whole class listens: "That's what an 8 looks like. Now, come back to your seat." How old was I? 4 years old, one of the youngest in the class. How cruel can a teacher be? This happened in 1994, when teachers could get away with stuff like that. 17 years later, there'd be an uproar if a teacher ever did that to a young child. That Miss Trunchball wannabe is probably why I started my problems with numbers. And once, three years later, we pass each other as we're walking down the corridor in opposite directions and as she passes, she says: "Good morning, Rachel." I turn my head towards her and say "Hello," and smile as I keep on walking. She suddenly stops in her tracks and goes: "Eh...good morning, Rachel?" I stop and turn around and say: "...Good...morning, Mrs C." She nods with a sneer on her face, turns on her heel and walks away. What a bitch. I've never got this tendency to call teachers by their full names whenever you speak to them. It's not my way to make the exact same reply when someone greets me, it's un-natural, false and robotic and doesn't automatically equal respect. How is "hello" a disrespectful reply to "good morning," in any universe? No one I knew liked that teacher and it's not surprising.
The teacher I had in primary 2 and 4, Mrs S. She was ok in primary 2, but in primary 4, she just seemed overly strict with me when I wasn't doing anything wrong. One time, in assembly, we're singing hymns and I had my plait swirled round my left shoulder and I'm just fiddling about with it as I sing the hymn. No law against that, is there? She gets up, storms down the rows, looks me straight in the eye and says: "Leave your hair alone!" Umm...since when did a rule exist saying you can't play with your hair? It wasn't as if we were singing in front of special guests and had to look smart and turned out, we were just in our usual school assembly and I was so small no one could even see me playing with my hair. Nor was I annoying anyone around me. Teachers like that are just control freaks who think the slightest hint of casualness is rebellion.
A teacher who supervised my class part-time once a week in my second year of high school. It's complicated but I was told by my usual teacher to go to this new room and wait inside and explain the situation of the class moving there to the other teacher when she came in. So, I'm waiting in the empty room, when the teacher walks in. She looks at me, wild-eyed and asks: "What are you doing here?" in a tone that sounds as I've committed a crime. I explain everything and she tells me to go back to my original teacher even though he told me to stay in the room. Even once it all got sorted out, she just seemed to have it in for me for no reason and always think I was up to no good when I was the quietest, most well-behaved person in the class.

My Grade 9 Algebra I teacher.
I got a C the first semester because final exams were graded on a curve, so my C was barely a 70, and I failed second semester with a 67. I had to go to summer school for 3 weeks to make up for 18 weeks of stuff I missed. FFFFUUU-- I did it, though. With the help of a wonderful para. Thank god the AI teacher got fired.
Flash forward to grade 11: I got a 95 my first semester of Algebra II, and I have a high A this semester, so far. I got a 94 on my first (600 point) test, despite missing two days of important notes. THAT'S HOW AWESOME THIS TEACHER IS.

My band teacher, dear god, my band teacher.
She's an unprofessional, unhelpful, immature whore. Seriously. Last I checked most female band directors don't show up to both classes and competitions in short skirts, high-heeled leather boots, and fishnet leggings.
Marching season is the worst. She does all of the choreography by herself, and more often than not, it's awful. Last year when we went to a competition, the judges actually told her to hire a professional choreographer because she does so horribly. What does she do? LAUGH IT OFF.
She also has a bad habit of switching what the year's marching theme will be without our consent after the band had already decided. Last year it was going to be video games... "NOPE, TOO BAD, YOU'RE DOING SUPERHEROES". This year it was supposed to be Green Day... "NOPE, TOO BAD, YOU'RE DOING SHREK."
Recently some of the band went to a solo/ensemble competition. Me, along with another clarinet and two bass clarinets signed up. She gave us the music to practice for three months, and in that entire time, she never helped us until two days before the competition.
Not only did she slow us down to insane levels when the piece was supposed to be really fast, she never realized she gave one of the bass clarinets the wrong part.
As expected, we fucked up. Big time. The guy who was judging us figures out it was the band director's fault we did so bad, and called her out on it. Her response? "Well you just hear music differently! D:"
Um... yeah. I have a lot of issues with her >_>

Last I checked most female band directors don't show up to both classes and competitions in short skirts, high-heeled leather boots, and fishnet leggings. That is such a coincidence because this is basically a description of the music teacher I had in my first year of high school (don't know how I forgot about her as she was one of the first horrible ones). She was every stereotype of the mean music teacher (they have a reputation of being horrible, I find). She would never help anyone who needed it, didn't care that a boy in the class was crying because of how she spoke to him and was the ultimate control freak. We had to place our fingers on the keyboard in a certain way and she asked everyone to turn to the front to watch her demonstrate it. Having never played the keyboard in my life and being positioned facing the wall, I kept turning back and forth to make sure I was placing my fingers correctly. She calls over at me to look at her properly. But I didn't know it was me she was referring to so I kept on doing what I did before. At this, she stormed over, told me to take my hands off the keys and watch her throughout. I did so...and the problem was that once it was over, I'd forgotten where to place my fingers because her demonstration was no longer there to inform me. You see, once some teachers have got a certain method into their heads, they don't like to admit that the method is flawed or consider that certain students may have a valid reason for not responding well to this method. And the outfits she wore were pretty out there too. She had a pair of knee-high snakeskin boots that she wore practically all the time, even when they didn't match her outfit. And I never went to any of the school orchestra performances but I heard that she wore miniskirts and a tight top with a loose tie and high heels. And she wasn't exactly a spring chicken either.

I had a lot of ENglish teachers in Year 7: for the first half of the year, we had an exchange teacher from Colorado-- who is amazing! I miss him-- and when he left, we had two more. Now the teacher who taught for the term after her left was a MASSIVE bitch.
TUrns out, if you're a junior, she pretty much hated you. But I'm a senior now (Yr 11 FTW), so she's not being a bitch to me. BUT STILL. Two faced you-kn-wwhat.

Aaah, Ms. dG. She was my freshman Math teacher (high school BTW).
Worthless bitch she was. While other teachers recorded our tests and quizzes, Ms. dG over here wanted us to record it ourselves and show it to her at the end of each quarter. Which lead to a lot of zeroes because of lost papers. I know it's probably our fault because we were the ones who lost our papers, but goddammit why do we get to record them? It's the teacher's job not the student.
She also gave stupid projects.
And she always uses her laptop between class hours. I thought she was doing some actual work but no, turns out she was playing Farmville.
And to top it all off, I've heard the seniors say that she was a bad teacher, so that means it wasn't just me or my classmates, it really is her that causes the problems. Algebra's already hard enough but having a bitch like that as a teacher? *squeezes stress ball*

My 12th grade economics/government teacher, Mr G. This guy is a grade-A DOUCHEBAG. He literally says "I don't like you, go sit with the other kids I don't like over there" at the beginning of each semester, something that I honestly think should get you fired. He has a sour look on his face all the time, and he acts like a fuckin hippie. He has a very unprofessional teaching method that involves making fun of his students and comparing historic events to things that are going on with the students at school. He never keeps his opinions to himself, always saying things like "Don't forget your ridiculous hat when you leave", or "Furbies used to be very popular, but I think they shouldn't have sold at all; they SUCK." He makes a lot of generalizations, commonly saying "You guys don't buy your music anymore, do you? You just download it off Limewire." He discriminates against people he THINKS are gay, even if they aren't, by either giving them lowered grades or tricking them into giving him their phones (this happened once). If you don't call him "Mr. G------", and instead call him G------ or his first name, he says "I'm not your friend or your buddy or your equal. I'm your higher-up, treat me like so." All in all, douchey.

-6th grade middle school teacher was a smug jerkface. I actually don't remember too much about him except that he made me cry.
-7th grade middle school teacher got her kicks from gossiping about students.
-8th grade algebra teacher barely need any teaching because she was too busy talking about her grandchildren. My mom told me she had a parent-teacher conference with her and the whole time the teacher was talking about her daughter.
-9th grade Spanish teacher was really incompetent and couldn't control the class. I sat in front of the class and the junior boys harassing me and touching me and she didn't do a single thing. Then when I report the boys to the guidance counselor, this same teacher asks me why I didn't come to her. Ha!
-1st year Physics professor. This guy didn't teach, he rambled and he didn't use power note, so my note taking consisted of translating his jargon, then using the book. I had two tutors for that class and they barely understood what that guy was going on about.
-Pop culture, English professor. Our unit was detective fiction. Instead arrived late to most of our classes and spent at least half of the period talking about the conversations she's heard in the hall. She also changed requirements and deadlines for papers on the due date. She bragged about not being organized and sent emails of her "thesis" which declared that her style of teaching required higher learning. Then there's the puppy. Okay, so 15 minutes pass and she's still isn't there, so we're about to leave except another student gets an email from her on his phone. The email pretty much states that she found a puppy and won't be able to get to class for another half hour. What do we do. We leave. Later she sends up a whiny email complaining about how none of the students are taking her class seriously and more whine. This easy A class was not worth it. Oh, and another person who had her told me that she called herself the white, opposite of Micheal Jackson. Uh-huh, not so sure what that means either.
-Neurology professor. Unlike the Physics professor, at least he gives us notes. Too bad that they are a convoluted mess. He's another professor that enjoys coming to class late. Because coming to class 10 minutes late obviously justifies not giving the class the mandatory 10 minute (since the class is almost two hours). The tests are also horrible. Our first test was 140 questions, second test 150 questions, and this test was 170 questions. I dread to know if he's going to add any more questions to the last two tests. Seriously, it is really unfair that he keeps adding more questions to every single test.

Mr. G, my fisheries population dynamics professor. His class starts at 5:00 and ends at 9:30 mainly because of his incompetance.
Let's see...he usually shows up thirty minutes late to class (one time, he showed up NINETY MINUTES LATE). Then he spends about an hour uploading our homework/notes to the share drive, because he always forgets how to use the damn thing and refuses to put it on the school's student website Blackboard thing. When he finally starts talking, he rushes over the slides and mumbles. I sit right in front of him, and I can't even understand a damn thing he says. Then he'll stop and tell some random thrity-minute story that has nothing to do with the lecture/is of no interest to us. Oh, and he's also called us idiots before. Literally, when he hands back our homework and tests, he calls us dumb. "Why don't you guys understand this? It's so simple!"
Fuck you, Mr. G. -_-

One of my university calculus professors was downright awful. He was definitely one of those types that only taught because the university required him to. You could sense his distaste at having to interact with us in any way, and he treated us all like second-graders. It was awful. At least in universities you get to do performance reviews for your profs.
