Battle Royale and Galileo (Japanese drama). How I got into Galileo: A certain Hong Kong drama was inspired by Galileo and used some of the basic roots. I finally took a look into the original inspiration and I really liked it. The cases are clever and interesting. As for characters, Yukawa sensei is quite amusing and I like his chemistry with Kaoru Utsumi. I am 70% through, may finish the series in the near future but overall quite good. I would recommend it for those getting a little tired of the typical Asian drama formula and it is quite unique. Battle Royale: I was skimming the biography page of Kou Shibasaki (She plays Utsumi in Galileo), and noticed that it was that film was the starting point in her rise to fame. So I decided to check it out. Some shock factors, but quite interesting themes. The 3 adaptations are different in character interpretation and sequence of certain events but the overall premise and themes are still there. Reading most of the manga, it is VERY graphic due to the raw violence, gore, sex and more that matched the grittiness. The movie is good overall despite limited time for character depth. The 'sequel' is a miss but not the worst film as the soundtrack sort of makes up for the many faults. Still yet to read the novel. Yes, I am aware this is quite long.
Omg new bffs?? ha ha I LOVE Battle Royale!!!
I love the manga a lot and the movie but also haven't got my hands on the novel but I want to. I really liked the unflinching violence in the manga it's very gritty. You're right about the sequel though, it is one big rambling mess that tries to hard to make political points.
My favourite character is Chigusa because she kicks so much arse and Hirono because I just love her scene with Mitsuko so much "think about what you did!". I've seen it waay too many times
"This ones super lucky!!" ha ha. I've been meaning to make some gifs for it for ages.

Tabletop RPGs. Well, trying to, as the two that sound remotely interesting to my Humongus Mecha loving brain that isn't CthulhuTech (Too crapsack for me) are Macross II: The Role Playing Game and Mekton Zeta are pains in the ass to find.

Thundercats, based on the fact that a new series is coming out I've been watching old episodes online for a few days now. My inner anti-rebooter wants to see how they handle it. Will it be another He-man and the Masters of the universe? or will it just end up being a G.I Joe Sigma 6?

Chigusa is effin' hot, just saying. I've never read the manga but good god I love Battle Royale the movie. I expected it to be a lulzy murderfest and was pleasantly surprised with how well done it is.
I've gotten really hooked on Placebo and Unkle lately. I love finding new music by accident.

Psychoanalyzing... developed an interest in it lately. It'll probably end up forgotten about though... Seems to happen with a lot things I start reading up on.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. One of these days, I'm gonna make my nieces watch it with me. xP
Garry's Mod. OH MY GAWD GARRY'S MOD. Just spawn a bunch of enemies and shoot the hell out of 'em. That and make funny movies. And play catch with robots. And talk to Hunters from Episode 2. And run like a gimp through the Portal maps. And so on and so forth.

Alcohol. I never really drank through high school, but now I'm just having fun with it. Not in a stupid party party way, though. My older sister and I have been playing around with mixing our own drinks, and since neither of us actually like the taste of alcohol, we try to make it unnoticable.
Like, on Thanksgiving we made special punch for our family (without them knowing) with orange vodka, koolaid, and ginger ale. Yum. My mom caught on right away, though. I think we were being too suspicious...

Sewing. I did it as a part of a class, and I'm surprised how fun and rewarding it is. I have so many clothes I need to mend anyway.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Found out about on this site, actually. I had to watch something after Higurashi, after all.

I'm starting to realize what my favorite genres of music are, and I'm starting to get into those accordingly.
Also, D.R.U.G.S. They are awesome.

Some varaitons of hardcore punk, surprisingly, after all my years of bitching about how much punk sucks. Fancy that. Also, trashy hardcore wrestling. The good stuff with crowds of 25 people, barbed wire, flaming tables, staple guns, meathooks, broken lightbubls, weedwhackers... One of these days I might just up and leave college and become a underground wrestler. Seems like a solid lifestyle choice to me.

I've been getting mods for Dragon Age and am in awe of one of them. Man, I wish there was such things as Winter Elves. That would be so cool! XD I bet the story would be interesting. ^_^

Hetalia. ಠ____ಠ I sort of regret it...Awww don't, the Hetalia club here is sane at least. Can't say much for some of the fans on DA and livejournal, but then most of them take it way to seriously. It's just a light hearted webseries/anime that spoofs stereotypes in a non-offensive way.
