Might also fit in Fantasy, but apparently she focuses on romance more than anything.
Who else has read her books?
So far I've read the first two of her Chronicles of Nick series, Infinity/Invincible. I haven't read her Dark-Hunters series, though I also don't really intend to.
What about you guys?

I've read her Dark-Hunter series, The Chronicles of Nick, and one of her first published series (I can't remember the official name of the series). My favorite book by her is Dance with the Devil. Zarek is my favorite Dark-Hunter.

I totally LOVE Acheron, I just want to hug him and mother him and make sure he never gets hurt.
Also, love the Were-Hunters, they are fun as hell and you SO cannot hate Simi... she rocks sooo much.
Why don't you wanna read the DH series?

They just don't seem like my type. I've heard they're romance novels and since I'm not much of a fan of those type of books, yeah.

But... Chronicles of Nick has only two books out so far. How do they plan on making movies without spoiling anything unless she starts pumping books out at a faster rate?

Right. And I don't really think pumping them out quickly would be a good idea anyways, might cause the quality to go down.

Well... technically, between the regular series and Chronicles of Nick, they got enough material for a series. Also, it's gonna be a bit like Buffy so with a few tweaks they won't need to worry about more books.

But it says the movies would be Chronicles of Nick centric so I don't think they'd include stuff from the Dark-Hunters books. Plus Chronicles of Nick is this weird prequel yet not prequel series so I don't think that'd work...

If we're going with movies, then making a movie out of Book one is fine, if the movie makes it, cool. Sherri's been pumping out CoN books once a year. So by the time that the first movie takes the stage there might be another two books out.

I am so excited for the two League books coming out next year. I just found out that she is going to do a whole book for Ture and Maris! *happy dance* I am seriously excited for the book, I have adored Maris since he was first introduced and he was amazing in Born of Silence.

What are the League books like? I tend to stick to CoN and DH.

They're pretty good. The first three are reprints/rewrites of the first three books she got published. The timeline in the first two are a bit skewed because when she first published them they were published through two separate publishers. The books are as good at the Dark-Hunter books in my opinion, and the latest one Born of Silence dealt really well with the main character's struggles through abuse, a major betrayal, and a whole lot more.

So in a little over two weeks, her first book with a gay couple is going to be released. I am really excited about Cloak and Silence and I can't wait to read it.

I've read one book, Devil May Cry. Of course, I picked it up thinking it had something to do with the videogame series...

Admittedly it was a good read (though I'm on the fence about her female lead there, mainly because a lot of her background seems...sueish) but part of me was still disappointed that it had nothing to do with the videogame...

Well Katra gets a lot of development in the other books in the series both the ones released before and after Devil May Cry. That is one thing that I do like about Sherrilyn Kenyon's series is that a character's development isn't limited to just the book that character is a hero/heroine in. If I remember correctly, the first book that Katra appears in is Kiss of the Night. So the reader's got a chance to connect to and learn about Katra even before learning about her background.

I guess I'll have to look into reading that book sometime. Even if it bugs me to no end that Artemis is her mom/muttermutter end mythology nerd rant Here's a document with the official reading order of the books (also includes the books for her other series). The list also includes all of the short stories as well. You can pretty much skip the short stories, but there is a collection of all of the Dark-Hunter short stories being published later this year. Here's a fun fact about the Dark-Hunter series, including all of the short stories, there are 32 stories that make up the entire series so far. I also recommend The League series and the Chronicles of Nick but I would stay away from the Lords of Avalon series.

My issues with the series stem from the first book in it. In the first book (Sword of Darkness) the hero is nonredeemable (he is extremely violent and threatens the main female character with rape), there poorly explained time travel, and the writing is really bad. The second book (Knight of Darkness) is better simply just because the hero is more likable. Both books were actually made into comic books by Marvel.

Not a huge fan of how the artist drew Ash in this Manga. Liked Ash's look from the other Mangas.

Finished Cloak and Silence earlier today. It was really well written and dealt with the character's inner demons in a really good way. Ture and Maris were adorable together and I am happy as hell that the more *intimate* moments between them weren't written like yaoi fanfiction.
