Everyone, quick! Share your Epileptic Trees about what the reveal will be! Preferably ones not stolen from TvTropes jokes like mine.
Mine: The whole series was a dream. The whole series took place during Instrumentality. Dumbledore is not only alive, but a Time Lord.

I think she'll be writing a prequel to the HP series. Maybe something about Voldemort?(Just like George Lucas did!)

Here's the patent. I read somewhere that it's some kind of social network rather than another book, but I hope it's the encyclopaedia.

I'm really hoping that this is the encyclopedia. I've been so excited about it ever since I first heard that she might be working on one. But I will be equally happy if it's something else :3

What if it's the kids of all the cast going through their school years? That would be a fun possibility . . .

I hope not, I like the fact what houses Albus/James/Rose/Hugo/etc. and so on were left up to fan interpretation. I'm much rather it be a story set during the early days of Hogwarts or hell, a story set in the Wizarding World but outside of the UK/Europe.

At the same time as another sequel would be awesome, I'm kinda scared that it'll be not as good or just turn out to be some thing to make more money. But nah, JKR's too awesome for that.
...I want a Dumbledore's Childhood story. I gotta say, that would make my life.

I'd like to follow events taking place at another school, myself. Yes. Durmstrang Institute sound the most intresting to me because they supposdly teach the dark arts there. And it would be intresting to see if that changed at all after the defeat of Voldemort. There could even be a similar wizard to Voldemort there who's trying to gain control and power in Nothern Europe.

Will anyone else feel disappointed if Pottermore turns out to just be a social networking site?

^Definitely not. Still, wouldn't be all secret if it was just social networking, would it?

Honestly, I would be disappointed if it involved the trio's kids at Hogwarts because I don't think we need to know what happened afterwards, leave it to the fanfic writers. I'd be slightly more OK if it was at one of the other schools or if it was a backstory of someone who isn't Dumbledore or Voldemort, but I was happy with how it ended.
What's more, I was seven when I first read Harry Potter, it's been nearly twelve years and I don't think it needs to carry on. DH was a great place to end.
"Pottermore" doesn't sound like a spin-off to me just from the name, unless that's just a sort of eyecatcher, it contains "Potter" in it.

I don't want the Epilogue kids, mainly because I hate the pairings that were together at the end, and there's not much we can do with them.
I'd love the Mauraders having a story, or something with Grindlewald.....I like Grindlewald.

That's not exactly true, there's plenty that could be done with the kids, it's just that we don't need to know and having it open ended leaves room to make everyone happy. I agree on the final couples though. (Then again, I'm biased as I always did like HxHr and didn't much care who everyone else ended up with, as long as it made sense.)

Yes, more Grindelwald/Durmstrang would be nice. As for my Epileptic Tree, a sequel set at Pigfarts. *Shot*
I really didn't care too much about the pairings. Even the epilogue felt like a break after the last six hundred pages of sadness and sleep deprivation.

I've heard people tip on an MMO, and although I certainly wouldn't mind that, it seems a bit... too big to me. On the other hand, I have no idea how a HP social network could me made (*whispering*: it sounds so lame!) I guess there's nothing else to it than to wait. Although to be honest, I'm worried about Rowling milking the franchise at this point. I mean, we got seven books, eight movies, a handful of video games - comics, I'm sure, also exist -, so isn't it kind of enough now? Move on, give room for other series?

If it is a new novel I hope it doesn't involve anyone who was involved in the original story. But I don't think I want a whole new cast of characters either. So the only idea mentioned so far that appeals to me is that it is the story of the founding of Hogwarts (okay, I guess the Grey Lady and Bloody Baron would be involved, but other than that, it's a blank slate). I think there is a ton of story to be tapped into there.
But apparently Scholastic has said it's not a new story, so my bets are on the encyclopedia. Which would be awesome.

Seeing as how it's called Pottermore, clearly they will be building some sort of Rushmore-esque monumenet except based around Harry Potter *rim shot*
I'm hoping there will be e-books. I doubt it, but me and my kindle can sure dream.

If they do go with the MMO idea, I'd play....if it's FTP. Currently can't afford any subscriptions.
