This is pretty simple. Use your character's birthday to determine their element from the Alphanimalian elements below. Then, RP as if your character had their normal powers replaced with the element. (Note: This is from my fictional universe, but I decided to bring the fun to this RPU)
Darkness- April and November Light- May and December Earth- March and October Fire- September and February Air- January and August Water- June and July
---------------------------------------
Brianna sat down on a throne made of solidified darkness, looking over the land. People everywhere were losing their powers, and given foreign ones which they were not familiar with. She wanted to put a stop to it, but didn't know how or even what was going on. However, since she had Darkness powers anyway, and some of her characters had powers that corresponded with their birthdays anyway....she didn't worry too much. She wasn't a queen or a princess or anything, she just wanted to make it right once more so that everyone had their original powers back.

The sun was setting. The air was getting cooler, but still Aouli continued walking on the beach. She would have go home soon, her mother would worry, but she didn't want to leave. Not now. She wanted to wait at least until the sun was done setting and the moon rose in its place.
With a kick, her sandals flew off, and she left them abandoned on the sand as made her way towards the water. First she put her left foot in and took it out. At the border she stares at the endless sea. With a smile on her face, she ran in until she was knee deep into sea water. She closed her eyes and expanded her arms as if trying to hug the air. She leans back and lets herself be carried by the waves. By the time she opened her eyes, the sky was pitch black.
'How strange,' she thought.
Even stranger was now lying in the sand. Wasn't she in the water just a moment ago. Alouli no longer has a moment to ponder this, as she is sucked within the sand as well.

Brianna saw, upon her brother's crystal ball. Stanley lent her the ball whenever she needed it, so she was lucky she had it recently. Someone was sucked into the sand. A strange girl. She didn't know who she was, or how she was being sucked in. However, she did know that something had to be done.
Brianna called upon Lorena, her water mage friend, to help her out. Lorena transformed into a snow-leopard of gigantic proportions and let Brianna hop onto her back. The sky was pitch black, and everything was hard to see, but Lorena's cat-like vision compensated for that. Lorena took off like a shot.

((I'll use my month, but for a different character. You should recognize this one once I show the name. ;D))
Over-looking the beach sat a somewhat scrawny-looking, light-toned boy atop of a cliff of rocks. The boy wasn't looking out at the sea, however. He stared at the rocks instead. As if they were living beings, he had carefully picked a few off of the surface of the cliff without collapsing it. He had them float around him, speaking to them as if they were the boy's longtime friends. All he had desired was someone to speak to about his power. A real person who wasn't as shy as he was just because they witnessed the boy's presence.
His concentration towards the rocks was shattered when he spotted a lone girl on the beach seemingly sinking into its sand. He had yet to master alternative forms of his earthen powers, but sand was still part of his forte. He slid down the rock wall, used to their various sharp curves and bumps, and ran over to where the girl was just seconds ago.
The boy attempted to move the sand just as he did with the rocks, but his power was weaker with this material. However, by the moment his magic energy was exhausted, he saw a hand in the ground. It was the girl! He grabbed the hand and made a single attempt to pull her out. He could only hope that the girl was at least still breathing after being consumed by the sand.

Brianna had gotten to the beach, but was too late, someone had been there and possibly saved the girl. He was attractive, and it made her blush. However, she had to do something. She dismounted Lorena and took several steps towards the girl, then she knelt down. Right away, she started CPR, and was hoping that the girl would respond to it.
Lorena shifted back into her humanoid form, then stood by in case she needed help. Brianna remembered the rhythm for CPR, chest compressions, then breathing, and so on.

Averis was having a bad day.
You see, it was strange the way one could rank the quality of one's day. One person might say that a bad day was waking up to bad hair or zits, or finding bits of curdled milk in your coffee, or failing that important test that you'd been studying for. That was one interpretation of a bad day. Another one could be watching everyone you ever loved die off one by one and being completely helpless to save any of them as you watched their waning lives bit by bit slip out of your hands like sand through an hourglass. And then sell the remainder of your soul to an embodiment of death to bring them back.
That was what Averis's day was like yesterday and it certainly did put her in a sour mood. So now she lay moping on a calm beach, wondering things like, Will I ever see Wyatt or Ardent again. And If this is what the afterlife is really like for souls who have nowhere to go, then where IS here? and Why a beach? I mean, is it symbolic or something? Is this supposed to represent the sands of time, the water being life and the fact that I'm beached means I've exited the water, exited life and am now simply lying in eternity where time and space no longer apply and I've become an entity of my own, existing only in the realm of time. and then there was the most important question in her mind.
WHERE THE HELL ARE ALL THE DEAD THINGS?
Averis sat up. She was bored as hell. That shouldn't be happening when she was in the realm of death. She'd spent her living time working with death constantly, but now in death there wasn't a single dead thing to be found.
"To hell with this." she spoke aloud, "If I can't find any dead things, I'll just summon one up."
She raised a hand, a chant upon her lips as she called upon her necromantic powers and began to search for souls. A second later a ball of light appeared in her hands and shot towards the heavens.
A tree caught fire.
Averis looked down at her hands. Then around at the lack of dead things in the area.
"What the BLOODY FUCKING HELL IS GOING ON HERE?"

The boy was amazed at how this other girl appeared from out of nowhere and helped the girl he had likely just saved.
"U-um...thanks for your help..." He said, looking a few years younger than the girl who seemed to have dark magic, if his sensing skills were right. "My name's..." He hesitated, almost as if he recognized the dark mage. "Silas."

"Silas?" That name rung a bell. She'd finished CPR, and looked up. Something about him was very familiar. She then thought of a question to ask to confirm who he was.
"Who's your father?" If he said "Sky", "Brandon", or anything like that, she knew exactly who he was. Silas bore a striking resemblance to a man she loved, and she thought he'd disappeared completely. However, this young man might serve as a reminder of him to her. In fact, this young man was likely her son.

"My father...? Well...my mother called him two names. Sky or Brandon. Why do you..." Silas said, realizing who he spoke to. "You can't be...Mom?"

"I-I don't know, Mom..." Silas said, crying a bit as well after having reunited with his mother. "The last time I saw him, he was about ready to move in with you...if you know what I mean. But...you haven't changed at all. You look the same!" He remarked, before finding a theory. "Am I...in the past?"

"I don't know, baby, I don't know. I wanna find him, though, and see if he's alright...", Brianna yanked Silas towards Lorena, who transformed once more.
"Lorena, let's go!" Brianna helped the young man onto the large snow leopard, then got on herself. Lorena took off, leaving sand kicked up behind her. "Mark made me a spaceship. It'll take us back to Earth".

"Oh shit!" Brianna made Lorena turn around, and head to the beach. She loaded the girl onto Lorena's back, "Hold her still, Silas". Then she got back on and Lorena took off again.
"If I know your father, he's still in Blue Popcorn, his home town".
((See what I did there?))

The name of the town utterly baffled Silas for a moment. "Th-that's not his...oh. You didn't need to make a codename for it..." He said, holding onto the girl from the beach carefully. "Though, that was kind of funny-wait." He stopped himself, finding another signature. This one was a fiery kind of aura hanging about it. "Someone else is here, too, Mom..."

Brianna could feel it too. A fiery aura among the trees and bushes. A signature. "Who is it?" Brianna unsheathed her glaive and looked around. "Are you sure I don't need to code-name it? I mean, your father values his privacy". Then, she continued to point her glaive in all directions. "Whoever's here, show yourself!"

"Hold on, Mom." Silas said, leaving the unconscious girl with Lorena. "If it's fire I'm sensing, I'll be resistant to it. You know, with this kind of power and all." He added, hefting a small boulder from a distance. "Umm...I sort of pushed the water magic to the side after a while and focused on earth."

"That's fine with me. Dual-elements are handy", Brianna looked on. She, too, sensed another aura. Not of anything she'd ever sensed. A dangerous aura, that of a possible monster. "Son, I'm sensing something else. Please don't stray too far..."

"Mom, I haven't seen you for a few years. Why would I even think about leaving your side?" Silas replied, shaping the boulder into an earthen sword and wielding it in his left hand. "I even have my father's unique dexterity, too."

"He's left-handed?" Brianna asked, "I'm ambidextrous". She switched from her right to left hand, then back again. "Anyway, I have a bad feeling about this..."
Suddenly, small, goblin-like creatures surrounded them. These goblins were half-animal, like most Alphanimalian humanoids.
"Ready when you are, Silas", she hacked and slashed at several that surrounded Lorena's legs.

"Goblins? As first enemies? Doesn't remind me of anything at all." Silas said, his attitude seeming to be a lot more confident when around his mother. "You two DID show me that you played a lot of games." He added, assisting his mother however he could.

"Well, yeah", Brianna looked upon the goblins. "These fuckers are out to get us at every turn, this is goblin country!" She hacked and slashed some more, her body getting dingy and grimy with blood and dirt.

"Watch this, Mom! Spire!" Silas yelled, bringing up a big, sharp rock from the ground and dropping it on a goblin, killing it instantly. His foes weren't finished yet, but the makeshift sword suddenly let out a howl. "Rock Slide!" He shouted, sacrificing part of the huge sword's length to throw its parts as projectiles to finish off his enemies.
"Hah...what did Dad call that kind of power? Psynergy?" Silas asked, panting from the magic he exhausted.

Brianna shrugged, "I think". The hoard was dead, goblin bodies littered the ground below. She still sensed the fire aura, but had no idea where it'd be coming from. "Do you still sense the fire aura?"

Her head hurt and the noise, whatever it was, wasn't helping. She opened her eyes and saw the people fighting the goblins. Alouli gulped as she watched them. The goblins were now defeated, but that still didn't help with her confusion. She wasn't even sure as to how she ended up here. The last thing she remembered was going out into the sea.
She didn't notice Lorena next to her and mumbled to herself, "What exactly is going on?"

"Umm...by the way, what's your name? My name's Silas. I'm...well, Brianna's son." He said, pointing to his mother. "Actually, I think I'm still just a baby in this time, since my mother looks so young. I guess that'd make me from the future or something."

"Alouli, uh it's nice to meet you Silas, Brianna, and..." she looked to Lorena for her name.
She remember hearing Silas saying something about being from the future, but doesn't comment on it, mostly because she believes she has misheard him.

"My name's Lorena", the still snow leopard woman introduced herself.
"I hope that's the last we see of those goblins...they tried to kill us", Brianna said.
