~~~~~~Overpass~~~~~~
The orange and tan colored armor shrugged off the cars steering column. The armors massive domed backpack, resembling an ankylosaurus all the way down to the clubbed tail that actually curled back and hooked to his belt had done it's job of protecting the wearer. That said, the user still was looking around confused as though the blow to his head had rattled him. Or perhaps the fact that somebody who he should have grabbed had been teleported away.
"Damn it, why isn't anyone trying to stop the thief?" The blue and gold motorcycle suit asked her partner. "Are we dealing with a bunch of noobs or something?"
"Whatever, we can do it ourselves." The dark red and brown replied, lifted one arm that had what looked like a stylized exhaust pipe and muffler attached. The tube however was extremely narrow. And if one were to look down it, rifled. His partner grabbed his arm and pointed it upward as he fired his first shot with a muffled silencer sounding 'fwip'.
"That fire throwing girl is still in the way!" She snapped, giving her partner a sharp elbow. "That's probably why he picked this spot, so many hostages."
Not that their SUV-bot seemed to care all that much about innocent civilians or hostages, having been more than willing to throw cars with passengers if they were in the way. But at this point, the SUV-bot had its own problem in the form of a steadily growing beetle monster that was trying to tear it apart. As of yet, neither side was making headway. The robot would smash the beetles armor, and the beetle would just regrow it heavier than before, claws scraping paint off the robots exterior as it tried to deal damage.
Finally, the dinosaur themed figure seemed to make up his mind. Looking over the railing and past Isoldes car where her mother and father were still sitting, he pointed at Flashpoint. Then realizing that he probably didn't have their attention, he clapped his hands once, creating a gunshot like crack, a much louder counterpart to the actual mostly silenced gunshot that had gone off just moments ago, and then pointed to Flashpoint. Then he pointed to the injured motorist in the upside down car beside him that Cupid and he had been trying to protect.
The suit still kept him from actually saying anything, but the message seemed clear enough: "Evacuate the wounded first."
~~~~~~~~About a block away, rooftop~~~~~~~~
Karma made the leap, dropping herself into a roll and came up on into a kneeling position, taking a moment to catch her breath. Behind her Cesspit overshot the jump and Karma winced as he landed much less gracefully ahead of her, fortunately not missing the building entirely. He had power behind his leaps, but his accuracy was questionable.
As Cesspit got himself to his feet, Karma's sharp eyes surveyed the battle on the overpass. A suspended four lane highway, only a few buildings having built up around it. More importantly she picked out the primary players in the conflict:
Three girls, two figures in transforming cycle armor, one figure in dinosaur armor, and oh yeah, two of their old foes from their exceedingly brief time as part of the team that would go on to be the Triumphant. The SUV-bot and Ramseys O'Hirn, former football star with uncontrollable mutant powers. Both of them had given Cesspit troubles, matching him in strength while beating him with leverage. The two powerhouses looked like they were giving each other just as bad a time, but while the SUV-bot wouldn't get tired of the struggle, Ramhorn would keep getting stronger. Eventually one of them would start to overpower the other, and probably cause a lot of damage to innocent motorists in the process.
The sound of soft panting came from behind and Karma glanced back to notice the dark skinned girl with the red tattered dress, the one claiming to be her 'bride', had followed them, and was trying to stay quiet despite the run clearly having exhausted her.
((In the interest of advancing this, Karma and Cesspit show up to lend some muscle and firepower. You have two to three 'turns' before the fight gets resolved by deus ex machina, try to make headway in resolving it for yourselves before then so I don't have to pull that and/or you get better rewards for participation.))

"Oh, I'd love to hang out," Elvis said, face lighting up. "How long are you gonna be here, 'cause I think I'm gonna be up soon....or..."
Elvis pulled his backpack off and dug around in the front pocket, pulling out a pen and a notepad. A few moments of rustling, writing and paper tearing later, Elvis handed a torn sheet of paper with a phone number written down on it.
"Here's my cell number, gimme a call sometime later," Elvis said, smiling before looking up and seeing the 'Now Serving' sign was lighting up for him. "Oh, I think they're calling my number now. Seeya!"
The young man put his backpack back on, grabbed his things and headed into the rest of the DMHA building from the lobby.

She nodded, pocketing the number while waving at him as he dashed off. "See you soon!"

"Hello there... ah... Reactor." The woman behind the counter said, gesturing him towards the door. "We've lined this hallway with radiation sensors. Assume them to be innocent civilians. Please try to stand in the taped off box and channel your power into that green target at the end of the hallway."
This was followed by him standing on another taped off square while he had his picture taken before he was given his identification card.
The guy with the blue skin was already at the counter by the time Reactor was done, getting his license transferred over from Pinnacle City. Midnight Pulsar was called up next, giving her and Reactor a chance to say something to each other in passing.

((Okay, it's been awhile and no posts, so, if there are no objections, we'll be advancing the scene(s) a bit.))
~~~~~~Overpass~~~~~~((Cupid, ScorchedEarth, Flashpoint, Karma, Cesspit))
Karma glanced at the girl in the red dress, her 'bride' who had managed to follow them this far. She wasn't sure how, though perhaps the girl had some skills traversing rooftops, alleyways, and fire escapes. That moments glance spare, it was time for action.
"I think I remember those guys." Cesspit said, looking at the two giant figures battling it out in two of the four lanes.
"You should." Karma said. "We fought them before with the Triumphant. That black robot was the stolen SUV that attacked us when we first met with the Son of Liberty, and that beetle monster was one of the early missions Klockwork sent us on when he heard that a football player was going to be endangered and cause the destruction of the whole stadium. "They both beat you down pretty handily." Karma gave him a grin to show she was teasing.
Cesspit considered this. "So... rematch?" He asked, making knuckle cracking motions.
"Looks like they're fighting each other." Karma said. "They need to be dealt with though. Try to take out the robot, it's bigger and Ramhorn feeds on combat. We remove his dance partner he might calm down."
"He might decide to sing 'hello my baby' too." Cesspit noted. "Reverse Fastball Special?"
Karma gave him a look and responded to his comic book antics. "Sure... why not..."
~~~~~~~~~
Ramses O'Hirn had been a fast rising star in football until the night when he had broken his leg in a game and his mutant power exposed itself to the world. Fortunately, the Triumphant had been there to help him, with Cesspit and StoneSerpent to restrain him, and BluV and Karma to talk him down. He had spent time in recovery, and his career had been destroyed, but with their help he hadn't lost hope.
Then his greatest fear had been realized. He had been caught once more in the superpowered struggles of the city. He'd tried to swerve his car out of danger, but that only resulted in smashing against the center barrier. He'd hurt his leg bad enough he had started to feel his transformation taking place again. Dimly, in the back of his mind, Ramses had wondered why it always seemed to be his leg.
Then he'd felt something burning behind him. That girl had torch cut a hole in his cars roof, trying to get him out. A surge of mixed emotions had filled him then... a sense of hope, that there was someone still there when he needed them most, and a sense of panic and fear that he might hurt those who were only trying to help him. He already felt his senses sharpening, the lights growing brighter, cutting into his now compound eyes. The pain in his leg grew as he started to feel everything magnified. He tried to tell the girl to get away while she still could, to escape from him if he rampaged. And they'd been shot with some kind of flame retarding foam.
He could taste the foam still. He could feel the pavement. Every bump stabbed at him like a bed of needles on his feet. The sounds of car horns and engines, the shouts of people, it echoed and sliced through his skull with his enhanced hearing, impossible to tell what he was hearing from the din. His vision was jumbled mess of images. He could see clearly for miles, in all directions around his head, but every color was so sharp, every light like a spear to the brain, he couldn't see anything because he was seeing everything.
Had he already stepped on the nice girl who had tried to save him? Maybe... no... probably not. But the big shape of moving metal and horrible sounds and sharp chemical smells might have. It had stepped towards her. No! She had tried to help! She was... well Friend might be pushing it, but at least Someone-You-Don't-Step-On. Ramhorn threw himself at the mass of moving metal and plastic and bits of glass, the same thing that had caused him to crash his car and forced him to peel himself out of the wreckage like it was a bad tinfoil suit.
Ramhorn felt the blow to his shoulder as the SUV-bot smashed into him with it's arm. He felt exoskeleton cracking, and in response redoubling it's efforts to grow. His claws scratched at the foe, trying to push it back. He was growing bigger, growing stronger, he would stop the things that hurt him. He would crush them all...
~~~~~~~~
"Okay... big guy..." Flashpoint said, looking at the tan colored suit of armor. Reptilian scales and claws and a face seemed designed into it, and the shell and mace tail clenched the look as an ankylosaurus, but signs of high tech equipment were obvious too. "I don't trust you... but you probably have a point."
Ankylo' had been accused of stealing the powered armor suit he was wearing, and he was big and scary, and just a bit clumsy... but he had also tried to save Cupid, and had managed to shield the wounded motorists. His gestures, difficult to understand initially seemed pretty clear. "Evacuate the wounded." That seemed like the right thing to do. Flashpoint released Cupids hand and vaulted gently over the concrete divider, landing and reaching out to touch the upside down driver of the car. The man wasn't moving, but wasn't bleeding very much as was still breathing despite the whole car having been hurled by the SUV-bot, and then rebounded by Cupid's scepter blast.
With a popping sound Flashpoint vanished again, taking the wounded man with her. That left Cupid and ScorchedEarth together, in the middle of just about everything. "... if we could just throw a car at that giant robot, I could ignite the gas tank..." Scorched Earth told Cupid, trying to work out a plan that they could deal with things as quickly as possible, basically saying what came first to her mind no matter how outrageous the plan might be. It would be better than doing nothing at least.
"Oh, for crying out loud!" The motorcycle wearing man said, frustration showing in his voice. "This is out of hand! We need to get Ankylo' back now!" He raised his arm, and a whirring sound could be heard in the large round section of armor as he triggered his machine gun aimed at Ankylo'.
~~~~~
Cesspit had great strength in his radioactive undead legs. What hurt him in combat mostly was his lack of weight and mass. Simple physics dictated the kind of impact he could withstand, even if his body was now rated for far higher. Unless he took care to brace himself each time, most of the fights he got involved in he was flung around like a rag doll by the power being exerted.
A true hero would look at his weaknesses and find strength in them. And so Cesspit did. Sometimes being tossed about wasn't such a bad thing. Particularly when it was your own legs throwing you. Even better when Karma was right there with him to help him out. She could aim as he threw. He could leap with her in his arms, carrying them both several stories high into the air. Careful practice had taught them both how to softly catch someone from a fall like that, but more importantly how to break their own falls. Now in mid-leap Cesspit let go of Karma, and she kicked off of his chest, guiding his super leap to impact just where he wanted to go.
Cesspit smashed into the SUV-bot's face fist first. The robot staggered back, it's optical slit mostly undamaged despite the dent in it's metal brow. Cesspit held on, bracing his feet on either side of the head and struck again.
Karma landed lightly on top of the car that Cupid's parents were still huddled in. They both flinched at the impact, despite it being gentle enough not even to dent the roof.
Ramhorn found himself without a dance partner as the SUV-bot staggered back from the impact of a blue suited hero on it's face, just as the first shots of the silenced machine gun were being fired. Ramhorns overworked senses warned him: That-Which-Was-Not-To-Be-Stepped-On was in danger. Somebody was shooting at her. Or perhaps trying to shoot through her to another target.
ScorchedEarth had just enough time to register the two or three bullets fly over her and Cupid's heads before there was a sound like a dozen sacks of bones hitting the pavement. Ramhorn had thrown himself into the path of the bullets, his inhuman insect visage twisting in pain as his shelled back was torn apart by bullets punching through the first couple layers. He let out a pained roar, unfortunately directed right at Cupid and Scorched Earth.
Karma's guns found her hand as soon as the first shots were fired, the 'fwip-p-p-p-p' being familiar enough to her to know a gun when she heard it, and she returned fire at the gunman her own pistols roaring unrestrained. Sparks flew as her bullets hit his armored arm.
"Stop shooting you idiots!" This was the female motorcyclist, her voice amplified and tuned to resonate just right. It carried with it a hypnotic command, a force that demanded anything the voice said, you'd do. How effective it was against everyone was questionable, as minds could resist the touch, the tug, the push. But in this case it stopped the gunfire.
Flashpoint popped back onto the scene just in time to watch Ankylo' drop. He fell backwards, landing on his shell, and then rolled to the side. With an angry shake of his head he dislodged the flattened bullet from his helmet. The dinosaur man came to his hands and knees and started to crawl away. Something in his boots flared and expanded as he did so, a faint whirr of turbines unheard over the rest of the combat.
Cesspit was having trouble getting a good grip on the robot, but he held on gamely and threw another punch at it's masked face, shattering something and pulling out a handful of mechanical bits. His success wasn't celebrated, as the robots massive hands came up and tried to close around him. With a sudden yank he was pulled free of the head and almost thrown free of the battle if not for his grabbing the robots thumb in a leg lock.
"Give us a boost!" The female motorcycle wearer ordered, and the SUV-bot swung out it's free arm even as it tried to dislodge Cesspit from his grip. Two grappling hooks latched onto the extended free arm, and both cyclists half swung, half drove, over Ramhorn's bullet shredded back. Cupid and Scorched Earth were forced to roll out of the way as Ramhorn bellowed in pain and lunged at the two wheeled adversaries.
"I don't want to burn you." ScorchedEarth threatened, flames leaping into existence around her hands and dancing there as she tried to avoid Ramhorn's large multi-jointed arm. She really didn't. Launching her attack on the beetle monster would alter her position in his troubled and frayed mind from That-Which-Should-Not-Be-Stepped-On to Fire-That-Needs-To-Be-Stomped-Out.
"He's going to get away!" The male motorcyclist said, recognizing the transformations going on with Ankylo's lower legs. The dinosaur man pushed himself to his feet, into a crouch, and the vents exposed on his leg now started to channel intense air pressure. His legs straightened like two coiled springs and he jumped skyward with the jet thrusts easily being capable of launching him over the next few city blocks.
The female motorcyclist had just managed to retract her grappling hook to fire it again, the claw narrowly missing entangling Ankylo's leg, and only then because of something intersecting it's flight path. The little glittering bit of costume jewelry deflected the claw and then magically flew back to Cupid's hand.
"You let him get away!" The motorcyclist said, both of them turning on Cupid and ScorchedEarth. Immediately ScorchedEarth turned her flame casting stance on them, rather than Ramhorn. "Do you know what you've done?"
"I think the bigger question is what were you doing?" Cupid snapped back, re-attaching her recently thrown wing clip.
"And as for 'got away'..." Flashpoint swaggered and gave Cupid a smile. "Ehhhh... I don't think we did. If you'll excuse me cutie, I will be back for you." Flashpoint winked at Cupid and then popped out again, appearing where Ankylo' was about to land.
Cupid blushed a little before focusing on the motorcycle wearing duo. "What were you thinking? Explain why you had your robot throw that guy into the street like that, and then start this fight!" She had to shout to make herself heard, as the SUV-bot, struggling to get rid of Cesspit, had stepped on Ramhorns leg. The insectile beast spun and shoved the SUV-bot away from any more of the cars that still had civilians in them.
There was a thunderclap without sound, a lightning flash above the street. "Indeed. By the light of the all seeing eye of the Kheldian the truth shall be revealed. Speak now."
The motorcyclists looked up and one of them muttered. "Oh... we're screwed now..."
Levitating above the battlefield, wreathed in an aura of glowing starlight and wearing his traditional dark blue and silver vestments, Doctor Starlight, leader of the Triumphant, the cities most powerful super team, gazed down at them with his arms crossed.
The two motorcycle wearing figures rolled backwards, balancing on their one wheeled foot and recounted their odds. The flash of light had drawn Ramhorn's attention for a moment, and that in turn drew the female motorcyclists attention.
"Attack!" She shouted, pushing with her mind control powers. Cupid resisted, ScorchedEarth resisted, Karma resisted, Doctor Starlight resisted. Cesspit didn't resist, but he was beating out a steel drum melody on the SUV-bots chaise at that moment, so he really didn't need any encouragement. Ramhorn obeyed.
With a leap into the air Ramhorn lunged at Doctor Starlight, trying to smash the glowing figure out of the morning sky. There was a flash, and suddenly the glowing light around him took shape. Apelike, but with a shell like am armadillo and three lobster like claws, the ghostly shape met Ramhorn hand to hand to hand, matching him in size and shape. "By the Kurukt's carapace monster, you'll harm no more." Doctor Starlight said, shoving Ramhorn back from within his forcefield beast. The feet of his construct touched the ground, stepping through the parked civilian cars as though immaterial, while the forearms caught both of Ramhorns double four arms with enough solidity that it cracked exoskeleton.
Both motorcyclists flipped themselves over the guard rail and dropped off the far side of the road, fully intent on making their get away. ScorchedEarth chased after them with a tongue of flame, but gave up after they dropped out of her line of sight.
"Starlight!" Karma shouted out. "He's not in control! He just hurt, he needs to be calmed down!"
Doctor Starlight paused to glance at Karma and nod, but then turned his attention back to the restraining field. Ramhorn's cracked arms were growing larger and stronger, and it seemed that Doctor Starlight couldn't push his beastial forcefield any larger without losing strength.
"I can help!" Cupid piped up, and pulled her crystal broach. "...maybe... I hope..." she added under her breath before running to between the legs of Doctor Starlights construct.
"Psyche..." Cupid started her spell, shouting out the somatic component as the Divine Crystal floated above and between her hands held high above her head. A glowing rainbow of color spread from the crystal and washed over Ramhorns body. "Amor..." It wasn't enough, Ramhorn was in too much pain, she wasn't getting through. And then Doctor Starlight was standing behind Cupid, a hand on her shoulder and his own focusing crystal held up, the rainbow colors turning into glowing white. "...Alleviation!"
Cesspit flew across the concrete divider and bounced past Scorched Earth. She spun in time to see the SUV-bot stepping towards her. Stepping right over Ramses wrecked car. Cesspit looked up to see Scorched Earth lancing a stream of flames at the SUV-bot. The SUV-bot leaned into the flames, letting them bathe across it's black armor as it aimed it's fire extinguisher at her.
"do svidán?ja robot." Scorched Earth snarled through clenched teeth and threw her other hand out at Ramses wrecked car. The arrow of flames lanced the cars fuel tank and the explosion caught the robot right between it's legs. Cesspit pulled Scorched Earth away and protected her with his body from the explosion.
The smoke cleared, most of the blast directed upwards and deflected by Doctor Starlights Carapace of Kurukt. Ramses O'hirn was laying on the pavement out cold, his own carapace shed and littering the street thanks to the joint healing spell cast by Cupid and Doctor Starlight. The SUV-robot lay on it's back, looking less like a robot now and more like an SUV that had been involved in a terrible crash that split it's front half apart.
Doctor Starlight summoned up glowing tentacles to clear one lane of traffic on each side and soon enough cars were moving again. Ramses was teleported to a hospital while the tentacles were doing their work. Doctor Starlight told Cupid and Scorched Earth they had done a good job, and gave them both a pat on the back as he sent them back to their car where Cupids parents were still trying to recover. The leader of the Triumphant then shook hands with both Cesspit and Karma, asking how they had been doing since the three of them had worked together in Seaport City, levitating the three of them out of traffic so they could talk privately.
Cupid and Scorched Earth could make it to school and not even be all that late.
((Okay, that scene's over, sorry to wrap it up so quickly but it wasn't moving. Everyone move on to 'free play'. You're all free to interact without structure. Tell us Cupid and Scorched Earth's first week of school in Triumph City.))

The first week of school went as well as Natasha could expect.
She had well been prepared to be the center of attention when she got there, being a cute foreign girl, accent and all. But she had been annoyed to see when she made it to her first period class, that everyone's attention was being held by a cute blonde boy.
"Who is that?" she'd asked to the girl sitting next to her.
"Justin Maddox, he was a boy that all of the girls had a crush on in freshman year, but after that he was sent to a boarding school. He's not only cute as hell, but he's one of the richest kids in Triumph City."
"What do his parents do?" Natasha asked.
"His mom is an heiress, no one knows who the hell his dad is. No one has ever said who it is."
"Erika sweetie, don't you have better things to do then gossip about me being a bastard?"
Natasha cringed as she looked around to see the boy himself grinning at them.
"Justin you remember my name!" Erika said, flustered.
"Of course, we dated in freshman year, Erika... Hav-..Hab..."
"Habersham"
"Of course. And you're the new European kid." he said to Natasha. "Where are you from again?"
"Russia, my name is Natasha."
He laughed at her, "Well I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun in a place that isn't a shithole."
Natasha fumed as the morning bell rang, and the teacher began taking attendance, which was a breeze for the teacher, until reaching the final name.
"Natalia Dmi...D..D"
"Natalia Dmitrievna Zakova" she said.
The other students laughed a little, and Natasha sunk into her chair saying, "Just Natasha is fine."

"Vampires do NOT do that." Kyles mask told him as he walked past Inferno Witches apartment, then Skyfalls, before he got to the elevator. "Whatever he is, it's not a mere vampire..." "Okay, so what IS he, then?" Kyle asked, standing in the elevator calmly as it went down to the lowest floor. There was a silence from the demon, a rarity in these last couple of weeks. It was actually kind of relaxing, letting the sound of elevator music play throughout the ride. "...You have no idea, do you?" Kyle added flatly, stepping out of the elevator and going down the hallway and into the sunlight. " Your guess is as good as mine." The being finally replied. " Sweet Asmodeus, it's bright out. Where the hell are you going?" "The park." "... The park." "Look, it lets me think." Kyle replied in a slight grunt, annoyed. He walked towards the not-too-distant park, the silence of the demon taking him aback slightly. He sighed when he arrived, sitting down on the bench to think of what to do next.

Angel had, happily, cleared the way for all the cars with the people inside them. Of course, this ended up meaning that several parents took their kiddoes and drove away, since randomly-appearing cars were pretty startling. On the bright side, that meant more parking spaces to put cars into so that the people inside them could recover. She still wasn't sure who it was that was putting them here, but she liked helping, anyway.
At some point it seemed that they didn't need to bring any more cars in. Angel waited for a little bit before sitting down on a bunch, crossing her legs and sighing. Suddenly it was sort of boring.
...Well, at least until someone else, a hulking man of some sort with a mask, came to sit next to her. Then it was mostly curiosity that she felt. This place didn't really have a dull moment, did it?
"...Hi?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Isolde hated being late. Especially when it came to the first day of school - that was like, ultimate slacker status. But she knew that it couldn't really have been helped today.
She had homeroom first, in the Chemistry classroom. There were plenty of open seats even with her coming in late, and she sat up front. She wasn't really sure how the day would go, but she decided then and there that she would make a concerted effort to make it good anyway.
After all, she just needed to make some new friends.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So, what's all this about?" Karma asked, looking between Doctor Starlight and Cesspit, sticking close to the latter. "You wanted to talk to us?"

As Isolde sat down a small girl, perhaps a bit taller than Isolde but a much lighter frame, glanced over at her. The girl was vaguely exotic, though in a not particularly identifiable manner, likely mixed parentage. She smiled at Isolde even as she was hiding herself beneath a heavy coat even in the warm weather.
"Hi." The girl said. "I'm Beth." With the unspoken statement that they had this first period together, and were going to be sitting together.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Ah, always right to the point, Karma." Doctor Starlight nodded. "Refreshing." He had levitated them all in a force bubble to a nearby rooftop. Road workers were already clearing the lanes of traffic that were blocked from the wreckage. Ramhorn, now back in his human form was in custody and was very apologetic about causing any damage. A special department had even arrived to take the SUV-bot into custody.
"Last night you took part in an all points bulletin as I recall." Doctor Starlight said. "Johnny Wraith filled me in, said you were back in town."
Doctor Starlight looked out at the overpass for a moment, turning away from the two heroes. His hands clasped behind his back. "There is some debate on the team to re-grant you membership." He said. "I... I'm sorry. I know you both from the work we did in Seaport City, and I would vouch for you, but as I am currently elected leader of the Triumphant... well, I abstained from the vote for now."
He turned back to face them, the grim expression on his face made darker by the skulled top hat, the dark face paint covering his eyes like a mask, and his neatly trimmed beard that was showing signs of grey. "Another option has arisen however." He told them. "The predictions of the Klockwork is getting more and more dire, and the all points bulletin we had to do last night might be a sign of things to come. If we are going to keep this city safe, we will need to follow a similar model as Seaport and Pinnacle City. Organized super teams."
He performed a flourish and two folded sheets of paper appeared in his hand as he offered them to Karma and Cesspit. Primarily Karma, as Cesspit seemed to be standing back a little. "We want you to form and lead a new super team. Last night a group of very powerful and very young people demonstrated that they could be our hope for the future. We need someone who has the spirit of the Triumphant, but also plausibly deniable in the eyes of the media, to gather, train, and organize these kids."
The sheets of paper had a quick and brief print out on "Cupid" "Scorched Earth" "Midnight Pulsar" "Sleeping Boy" and "Pretty Sparrow". Most of it had very little information on the hero in question, though both Pretty Sparrow and Sleeping Boy had a full phone number and address of their current guardians, Jay War and Agateno Suda.
"Do you think you can do that?" Doctor Starlight asked studying Karma closely, and even watching for Cesspits body language. "Lead your own team?"
"I'm Isolde," The brunette replied to the other girl, smiling. "Nice to meet you!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Leading our own team?" Karma stared at him. "That's..." She glanced back at Cesspit, and then grinned. "Pretty awesome, actually." She scanned the list. "So we need to find all these kids, right? Go to different fights, seek them out?"

Angel smiled, and shrugged.
"It's not so bad, I guess. Still weird, though."

"You too." Beth gave Isolde a smile, but was a little too shy to speak up for herself, not while the teacher was taking roll call at least. Perhaps if Isolde spoke with her more the girl would open up some...
~~~~~
Justin Maddox's return had drawn a few more eyes than just Erika's. It wouldn't be until later, as they didn't share a class, but Rashida the last years head of cheer squad, and likely to be head again this year, had noticed the return of the Maddox heir. Likely Erika and Natasha would have even further competition to keep his eye.
~~~~~
At lunch they'd also see Serenity Essex, though she seemed not to notice or recognize any of them.

Doctor Starlight nodded. "Yes. Forming and leading your own team." He agreed. "You already lead in Seaport City, though it was only the few of us and these new recruits appear to be much younger. But the two of you have been working together, so you know teamwork and I believe you have it within you to teach these children."
"As for finding them... ah, will you excuse me a moment." He looked off towards the city center and spoke to something distant, reciting a license plate number. After a few moments of zoning out, his hand raised before Karma or Cesspit could object, the wizard raised one hand, crossing his index and middle finger, the tip of his glove igniting into a small spark of light. He then reached for the paper he had given.
"This already contains information on Sleeping Boy and Pretty Sparrow. Contact information here is for their legal guardian, or in the case of Sleeping Boy actually his ambassadorial staff." A slight frown. "It's complicated, I think they can explain better. But this..." The glow on his fingertip burst into a stream of light for a moment and laser etched numerous small burns in the bottom margin of the paper. The precision energy scalpel cut off with a burst, leaving it to look like a feathered quill in their afterimaged eyes. "And this is the information on contacting the owner of the car that Cupid and Scorched Earth were riding in just now." It would lead Karma and Cesspit to Cupids parents easily.
"As for finding the others... this Midnight Pulsar or The Maiden... may the all knowing wisdom of the Kheldian guide your investigation, we have no further leads at this time. The Triumphant will offer you our information network and, if necessary gear and facilities, but we would like to leave it to you to do your recruiting, training, and crime fighting. While we can not endorse you publicly, it would be nice to stay in touch." He smiled at the duo. "Johnny Wraith would probably like to play video games with you again Cesspit. He's got the latest Terminus Effect game, and is looking to try to do a... Multiplayer Paragon Playthrough I think he called it. I can't always follow him..."

((Okay, freeform has apparently failed and was too hard to keep track of who is where. So, I'm going to advance this and put it back into turns...)) ((It is one week later. Everyone has had a chance to settle into their lives. The invitation to form a team has not been given, but characters with a reason for knowing one another, such as Cupid and PrettySparrow meeting after school, may have interacted some if you'd like.)) ((Cupids father is going to a small branch bank to make a deposit. Sleeping Boy and Agateno Suda are going to the bank to set him up an account. Other characters may be on the scene at the time. A quick map, which I will populate when I know who all is going to be there and where.)) ((The scene starts with an attack helicopter flying overhead, an EMP burst scrambling communications in the building and something cutting ground lines, and after dropping off military geared men by the doors the helicopter lands on the roof but keeps the rotors spinning. Only those who are on scene or can make visual contact with the scene know about it. This is your standard "super-hero stops bank robbery" scenario. Let's get it moving.))
