"I-I'm not saying we're to be that way, I merely mean that up there... things are alot different, the world is a lot harsher." Ben said, slouching over under the scrutiny of their eyes, "T-They kill and rape people like us everyday."
"A-And I won't. I promise." Ben remarked, looking up. "I-I think a girl could kick my ass anyway, even if I was armed."

"Well, our best bet would be to try to find some shelter with locals. Prol'ly not all of civilization devolved into raping and pillaging. ANd we'll prolyl also have better weapons than they do, as the ones up there will have been in regular use for awhile now." Al suggested, fiddling with his gun.

"I-I know... I'm just saying, they might have shitty guns, but they have clans, they know the lay of the lands." Ben said, not making eye contact, "They're better off in a year than we were off after our whole lives of training."

"Speaking of the land, anyone actually know what it's like outside? We gotta have some way of looking out there." Al asked as he sat against the wall near the Overseer's door.

"Umm, hi, excuse me? I'm uhh, sorry I'm late, fellas."
With some difficulty, Taza squeezed his way into the Overseer's Office, looking about two the apparent group that he would be travelling with. He knew most of them - everybody knew everybody in the Vault - but he wasn't all that familiar with most of them.
Except Gabe, that is. A good friend of his, as well as his sister.
"Hey, guys, what's up? I miss anything?"

"Hey Taza," Gabe greeted, "You didn't miss much only..."
Gabe who had been leaning against the Overseer's door, suddenly felt the surface dissapear and nearly fell over.
"You just missed a conversation about rape and pillaging, Mister Goldwater," said a crisp feminine voice. It was the Overseer Shannon McKay, a tall woman in her 60s, with steel gray hair that had lost its color from too much stress and piercing blue eyes. "I have camera outside my office, you know"
Taylor rubbed the back of her head with embarrassment, "I'm sorry Overseer, they were just being..."
Overseer McKay's expression softened, "Its alright Miss Gonzalo. Come in all of you, we have much to talk about,"
They entered the office. There were only 2 chairs and both Taylor and Gabe refused them, Taylor leaned against the wall, and Gabe simply sat on the floor. crossed his legs and leaned back slightly onto his hands. Both were anxious to hear their mission briefing

Benjamin shrieked as the woman exited from the previously locked door as she spoke of her ability to expose their conversations, hearing their little chatter around their little group.
He sighed, picked up his pack and his weapon and walked into the room, placing it next to the chair but deciding to take a stand near the wall and cross his arms.

Al lugged his bag into the Overseer's office, giving Shannon a large toothy grin on the way in. He was very familiar with the office, having been called in many times for behavioral reasons. He dropped his bag on the ground and sat in one of the few chairs, slouching forward. "Nice to see ya again Sharry. How're the kids?" Al asked playfully, reaching for a knick-knack on her desk.

Jay shrugged. He'd been against the pillaging and raping after all... even though he seemed to be outvoted. He also didn't want to take the chair, he wasn't really one of the leaders of this expedition after all, just a follower, and it really wasn't his place to take a chair from someone else.
