As some of you may have seen, this thread ended with the option for Twilight Sucks to remain Twilight Sucks for now. The staff has discussed this and decided that for now that we should focus on advertising the forum and going ahead an condensing the Twilight section into the Stephanie Meyer section. The changed section will appear like this Stephanie Meyer Category: >The Author >Books and other writings >Characters >Movies and Media The Twilight: The Fandom section will simply be deleted due to lack of traffic, while the Twilight the Fanfiction will be moved to either the Fanfiction sub-section of the Writer's Circle or the Modern Literature board. This thread shall serve the purpose of all members making suggestions for how to advertise the forum and how to draw in more traffic. |

What? Why? Just because it's been slow in the fandom currently doesn't mean it needs to disappear. To save space. The twihards have either quieted down down, been rightfully ignored, or simply left the fandom altogether. Plus, we no longer accept fandom encounters because of the higher number of BS stories that kept flooding our boards (which was kinda the main reason we even HAD that board in the first place, and we noticed the decline of attention to that board once the "NO ENCOUNTERS" rule was place4). And no one really goes to the board anymore except to snark the fan fiction, which we decided could easily be moved to a different thread that needs some more attention (the Writer's Board or Modern Lit). In short: out with the old, in with the new. |

There could always be some crazy thing that happens that makes people want to discuss it again. What if Nuttymadam suddenly decides she no longer likes the series? Who exactly TALKS about Nuttymadam anymore? No one, that's who (well except "Breaking Wind", but that was beating a dead horse by the time that hack came around). People realized she did the Twitard thing to garner attention and people wised up to it and dropped her ass. She does not need or DESERVE any of that, so we should just ignore her. It's been proven before how she takes advantage of us Anti's and the hatedom, so let's not give her any further communications. PERIOD. The Twimoms have either been very quiet or have moved on to other things. They're not really worth any further discussion -- since they mostly keep to themselves now. In short, ever since we placed the "NO MORE ENCOUNTERS" rule, the Twilight Fandom Board has become less relevant. 1. The "Edward vs Normal Guy" video is FOUR YEARS OLD at this point 2. MLIT hasn't updated since 2011 3. Most of the fandom-related threads have't been updated in almost a year, and most posts about them die in less than 10 posts now. If it's possible, we COULD make an archival for these if everyone wants to look back . . . but for the most part the board is just taking up space now. The Twilight fandom has long since died, and I very much doubt we will EVER get anymore out of them like we did in 2008-10. |

I see the fanfiction sub-forum would be moved (Thank goodness, I would be so sad to see the Brewdening Love thread go! It's my favorite thread!) to either writer's circle or modern lit. Will you be adding a snarking section to the writer's circle? Just curious how that would be categorized...because taking it out of the Twilight section opens up the chance to snark fic that isn't just Twilight-related, which would be awesome. >3
As for advertising, maybe reach out to other YA critique sites and ask to be affiliates? I know Sparkle Project and Book Lantern both have lists of fellow blogs they think their readers would enjoy. I'm sure there are some critique tumblrs who would be worth establishing a rapport with too.

Nutty was just an example of something that may happen that might warrant discussion. Another example would be if we find a Twimom who forces her husband to pretend to be Wardo or Jacob. I think some people would want to look back on it, so I think an archival would be good. I agree that the fad fires have died out though. I still think some people may want to discuss it in the future, but again, you guys are the mods for a reason.

As y'all can see, I've gone ahead and changed the Twilight Sucks section into the Stephanie Meyer section. Due to Proboards programming, I was unable to combine the Movie and the Media sections, so I made the Media section a sub-section of the Twilight section. I have created a poll in Twilight: The Fanfiction so that the people that use that section will be able to choose where it should be moved. Once the poll is closed and the Fanfiction section is moved, Twilight:The Fandom will be place as a sub-section of the graveyard so that it remains as an archive.
Edit: And I have also changed the name of this thread.

To combine them, you'd have to move all the threads from one board, delete the empty board, and then alter the name of the remaining board as desired. >.>
