Credit goes to the lovely SanityOuttheWindow/SeaandSunshine!
In short: we play a group of kids who live at an orphanage. In their past, they MAY have had severe trauma, and afterwards, began to see a monster. Said monster is their new companion- a physical body to their traumas and fears, their imaginary friend, and best friend when they first come to this place.
Of course, it's not all dark - the staff is loving and takes great pains to make the kids feel happy and welcome, and any kid that wants to can easily get a job instead of moving out.
TRAUMAS ARE NOT REQUIRED. In the past it was implied that all the monsters were from sources of traumatic events, and certainly their traumas have shaped them, but any sort of kid can have a monster. If you want a sweet kid who is really happy and doesn't have that big of a trauma - then make 'em!
Also the date's VERY ambiguous - think 1976-1993.
BIO:
NAME:
AGE: (Under 18 if they're the kids)
APPEARANCE: (Anything goes)
BIO: (Include the trauma, if they have one)
MONSTER NAME:
MONSTER APPEARANCE: (Again, can be anything)
MONSTER BIO: (Not a history, but about them.)
Here's our staff. If anybody wants to play one of them, or add a new faculty member, be my guest!

NAME: Theodore 'Teddy' Roosevelt Duncan
AGE: 43
APPEARANCE:
BIO: Teddy has some massive shoes to fill. Not only was he named after his parents' favorite president, but he inherited the orphanage from his Uncle Thomas, who was, at that time, considered to be a wonderful headmaster. Teddy has seen the place fall to shambles under him, and though he tries to keep the kids well and act as a father figure to them, he can't comprehend that maybe something else is going on... Something else like the monsters that live here...
NAME: Elijah Leonard
AGE: 27
APPEARANCE: Elijah's tall, standing at around 6'4, and lean, with strong arms. His eyes are a grayish color, and he wears thin, black-rimmed glasses. His hair is somewhat long, reaching his neck, blonde, and curly. Generally wears sweatervests and button-up shirts, if you get my meaning.
BIO: Elijah was here only briefly - abandoned almost at birth, he was adopted by the time he was three. He grew up relatively normal after that, growing up into his teen years and adulthood with his best friend Anthony at his side. The two were inseperable, and lived together once they were adults, going to college and such together. Right after graduating, Elijah got a job here as a therapist, having studied childhood psychology and education at university. A few months later, Anthony became very, very ill, and was admitted to the hospital. Elijah stayed by his side, but Anthony died two years ago. Elijah immediately moved in, becoming, like many workers, a working resident.
(Played by Alastor)
NAME: Norville "Shaggy" Rogers
AGE: 43
APPEARANCE:
BIO: Yes, he's that Shaggy. He's long since given up his days of being a hippie-slash-teen detective and now works at the orphanage as the janitor. He's still a hippie at heart, his time as a teen detective leading to him becoming permanently high and giving him the ability to see the monsters in the orphanage (though this might stem from a trauma as a child as well).
NAME: Maybelle Degrassi
AGE: 26
APPEARANCE: www.tektek.org/avatar/54422641
BIO: May works as the orphanage's nurse, having been adopted from Duncan's Home for Wayward Children as a child. She's a maternal person who tends to act as a mother figure to the children, known for bringing her two children, Terra and Cecil, every so often.
MONSTER NAME: Lenny
MONSTER APPEARANCE: Yo.
MONSTER BIO: Lenny is a... well, he's a dumbass, but he has good intentions. He's usually found in May's office, carrying around various books and helping treat children (usually the monsters).
(Played by Corte)
NAME: Elliot Kitter Jr.
AGE: 37.
APPEARANCE: blogmagia.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/m-shadows-34.jpg
BIO: A former roadie and metal head, Elliot himself was a former orphan under Theodore's father. He has returned for working after his wife left him, only able to see his kid on the weekends. He is a custodian, electrician and a plumber.
AGE: 43

{Setting Details}
- The orphanage is located somewhere in America, though it is never specified the state or region. It is surrounded by thick forest, with the nearest town (Bartlett Cove) being several miles away.
- The orphanage is six stories high, counting the attic and basement. It is on relatively flat ground, and the topmost part of the attic looms just above the trees.
-First Floor: Kitchens, dining hall/cafeteria, front desk, Teddy's office, bathrooms for both genders.
-Second Floor: Infirmary, school room, nursery, May's office, counselor center, bathrooms for both genders.
-Third Floor: Girls' dormitories, bathrooms (technically unisex). Each girl has their own bedroom, with a bed, a nightstand, a dresser, a closet, a window, and a sink. Anything else within the room is their own- including lamps.
-Fourth Floor: Boys' dormitories, bathrooms (technically unisex). Each boy has their own bedroom, with a bed, a nightstand, a dresser, a closet, a window, and a sink. Anything else within the room is their own- including lamps.
-Basement: For food storage, a boiler room. This is a restricted section.
-Attic: For medical supply and extra bedding and such things as that storage. This is a restricted section. - Haggle Creek runs through the forest. It is somewhat shallow, but very swift, with many rocks on the bottom. The creek often floods and overflows during the rainy seasons, and the banks are permanently muddy. This is a restricted section.
- The forest has four parts:
-The Front: Open to all kids. A dirt and rocky road runs through it to Bartlett Cove. Considered safe. Kids need permission to leave grounds through the gate, however.
-The Sides: Open to all kids who are good at walking. There are trails here. Considered safe, but not for the younger kids who might trip and fall.
-The Back: Rough terrain, tangled bush and brier. Haggle Creek is within it. This is a restricted section. - The grounds have many nice things, including a garden, a well, a large wooden play place, and a sandbox, as well as plenty of room to run around.
- Bartlett Cove is a coastal town with many beaches for kids to swim at or go rowing. It is a relatively sleepy and small town, with mostly older folks living within. There are many shops and things to do and see. Permission, a key, and a chaperone (for younger kids, anyone over sixteen can go alone or as a chaperone) are all needed to go here or to Abbot Island though.
- Abbot Island is right off the coast of Bartlett Cove, attatched by a man-made bridge. It's mostly residential, with a lot of rich folk residing here. It's also a great vacation spot, and many younger people go here over the summer and drive into Bartlett Cove for groceries and other such necessities.
- Stonewick is a few miles from Bartlett Cove, and much bigger. Generally, it is a slum sort of town, with a decent crime rate. St. Charles, the nearest major hospital, is here.
