Liz listened to her earnestly, going to get the door to let Chris in, and following her into the kitchen.
"Yknow, you could always ask my brother's girlfriend if she has any tips. She's super into potions too. Might be able to hook you up."

She's super into potions too. Might be able to hook you up." "I know, I could," Goody shrugged. "If you could make that arrangement, that'd be super, I just kinda, y'know . . ." Goody trailed off. Liz of people knew she wasn't the most social butterfly amongst people she wasn't as familiar with. ". . . y'know." With a bit of an exaggerated groan, Goody grabbed the cauldron by either side - far more than her wingspan could handle - and dragged it across the floor, looking to place it back in the cluttered closet from whence it came. "When you're done with that, could you get your big burly black boy to help me out, please?"

"Yeah I guess there;s nothing to be ashamed of..." Amrita mumbled back.

"Okay sure! Let's go!" Saskia said.

"Tattoo studio. She helps me with the ink." Lena answered, gently accepting the cup of coffee with a genuine smile, her hands lingering a bit longer on Harley's own for what seemed like too long before she grasped it, attempting not to scald herself. "Does a great job at it too."
"Nah, the shyness thing is cute." She continued, adding on to the compliments. "Might be a bit much like a domestic violence victim, but it grows on you. You're like a puppy."
She snuggled closer to Amrita, running a hand through her hair and pooling it around her shoulders while she took a sip of her drink.
"Gah, I just want to cuddle you so badly." She said to herself, staring at the girl before she broke it off, realizing how creepy it must have been. "Sorry. Got a bit carried away with myself there."
Patting the seat next to her energetically, most likely the coffee spiking, Lena smiled at the gigantic man.
"Take a seat right here. Let's get real familiar." She said, stretching out casually as she finished half of her cup of coffee before she set it on the table, before promptly putting her feet up on said table to make herself even more relaxed. "Tell us about yourself and Maybee. Especially Maybee."

"Oh, it's fine," Harley replied to Amrita, pouring coffee for those who wanted it and bringing it out to the living room, sitting as far away from the group as possible on one of the chairs. "Shyness is nothing to be ashamed of. And Studio, Lena?" "Do you want to sit down?" The boy asked the adult man innocently. After all, there were plenty of chairs for them to sit in, if he wanted to sit on the couch and not the floor... but of course, the boy wasn't realizing the man might break it, being a half-giant. "Ah, nono." The half-giant shook his head, smiling as he eased himself onto the floor. "Don' wanna break 'em." May, however, was sinking further in further into the spot she sat in. She was mumbling something under her breath. Today, Gulu-Gulu, a coffee shop on Essex Street, was extremely crowded, with a band playing off to the side. Most of the crowd was, as typical for this time of year, tourists. Lucy didn't mind though. Besides, Carrie technically would be considered a tourist, after all. "Do you like this?" The young redhead asked, sipping on her drink and watching her brightly, "Or is it too loud?" Across from the redheaded teenager sat a blonde girl, in her mid-twenties. The blonde was trying her best to drown out the noise around them, and somewhat blatantly at that. "Oh, no, I'm fine!" Carrie said, as she flashed a small smile at Lucy. "Just not used to this much racket is all!"

Liz snickered, dragging Chris inside to help Goody.
"Of course. Hell, if you want, I can offer dinner tonight. Lord knows you could use a good meal, Goods."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Harley stayed quiet, staring at Lena. She really wasn't one hundred percent sure what to think of this woman as she kept talking. She cleared her throat.
"Well... what exactly do you want to know? We're a family of highly skilled witches, if that wasn't obvious enough. We're actually rather boring. Bishop and I, that is. Haven't been doing much since our little girl's come here and her sister and brother have left the nest too. Why don't you tell us about all of you instead?"
"Oh..." the boy gave the man a half smile before turning to listen to the others.
"I didn't expect there to be THIS much of a crowd... then again, it's one of the best coffee spots in town, and around Halloween..."
Lord knows you could use a good meal, Goods."[/quote] "You can only live off of microwaved taquitos and Top Ramen for so long," Chris added, putting the bat down as he moved inside and began helping Goody lift the cauldron pot. " Trus-- wait, the hell even IS this shit?" "I didn't expect there to be THIS much of a crowd... then again, it's one of the best coffee spots in town, and around Halloween..." "It's fine!" The blond chirped, taking a sip of her drink. "I'm perfectly okay, sweetie." ~~~ The tiny pink car belonging to Willow drove through a path the forest, rocking slightly as it did. It was a house in the middle of the goddamn forest, that shit's gonna be a rocky ride. "Hey Saskia," Willow gulped slightly as she took a quick glance at the girl next to her. "Wanna go see a movie or something this weekend?"
"We could of taken my car you know... I think its a bit more sturdier..." Saskia said as she jostled around in the car from the bumpy ride. It wouldn't have made that much of a difference, her car was fairly small too.
"A movie? Sure, I didn't have much planned anyway for this weekend...oh wait I was gonna hang out with Darius. Well he's gonna be at the graveyard for all eternity anyway, so I'm sure I can postpone it."
"Yeah but it's even tinier my car." Willow reminded her friend. "And really? The dead guy again? You realize there's someone with a pulse who likes you right?"
The vehicle had pulled up to May's home by then, parking not too far from it. Willow promptly got out, waiting for her friend before they walked up to the house's door.
"Nah, I-... I feel weird if I just talk on and on about myself. I'd much prefer to hear about you two, maybe even a bit about Maybee as an adorable child." She said, stretching out in her chair casually, making herself at home and taking gentle sips of her coffee. "All I know about her is what she does and her boyfriend."
"And that me and Ryan are secretly fighting for her affection." Lena continued, finishing her coffee. "I feel like I'm winning, honestly. But he has this whole 'he's her boyfriend' thing going on. He's such a fucking cheater."
"What he's my friend! And he's cute, but you know..." Saskia perked up a bit, "Really who? I thought everyone thought I was such a weirdo that they would never like me." "....Me?" The pale girl replied, looking rather surprised at how Saskia hadn't noticed by now. "I mean, we've been hanging out more and more lately, I've been wearing more make up and nicer clothes, and..." She stopped and pointed at a slightly heaved chest, directing Saskia's gaze to her breasts. "...Kinda been pointing these out more. Figured you'd have noticed, especially with the movie thing."
Just don't expect anything intimate on the first date" "Man it's already awkward!" Willow interjected, before hearing the rest. "...is a kiss fine? ...hand holding? Or is that last one a bit too lewd?" There were times where going to /a/ ruined the girl's personality a bit. That was one of them.
"Alright, then it's a date," Liz snorted, going over to help Goody and Chris both, as a trio lifting the cauldron with ease. "The kids'll be super excited to see you, too. What all have you got going on today?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Well, again, it's hard to just sort of say, Lena. May? Why don't you... tell everyone anything?"
In truth, Harley by this time was getting distracted by her thoughts and by the energy flowing through this area - especially as there came a knock on the door.
The blonde boy went to open it, and stayed there until they got in, holding onto the door for extra support.
"Uhm - Harley, Bishop, this is my little sister Willow and her friend Saskia."
"...Great!" She replied after a second, feigning excitement with the best of them and eying Saskia. "I'm May's mother."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Alright." The girl gave her a soft, sincere smile. "It's... really nice to see you again, Carrie."
"Well, again, it's hard to just sort of say, Lena. May? Why don't you... tell everyone anything?" "Because of reasons." The girl said flatly, burring herself further in the couch. "I draw the line at handholding." Saskia said laughing. "A little old fashioned, aren't ya?" Willow laughed. The blonde boy went to open it, and stayed there until they got in, holding onto the door for extra support. "Uhm - Harley, Bishop, this is my little sister Willow and her friend Saskia." "...Great!" She replied after a second, feigning excitement with the best of them and eying Saskia. "I'm May's mother." The door swung open then. "Hiiii, are we intruding?" The girl said walking past her brother without greeting him, giving Harley a wave and a smile as she plopped into her brother's seat. "Should we come back later? It's not too crowded, is it? I know how badly crowded this place can get..." "Alright." The girl gave her a soft, sincere smile. "It's... really nice to see you again, Carrie." Carrie returned the smile, before she suddenly thought of something. "...I'm staying at your place, right?" She asked.
"Hey, more the merrier." Lena said cheerfully, sitting up and fixing herself to look more presentable before she relaxed into her seat. The girl was a people person, through and through. The more people in a room, the more comfortable the girl felt. "Learn to be more open, Amrita, my beautiful Indian child, you."
Slapping a hand onto the girl's thigh and squeezing playfully, she stood up, stretching, her shirt rising just enough to reveal her belly piercing. She fixed herself once more, laughing.
"Kiss a girl, get pregnant or something." She continued. "Don't be so on the bench about everything or you'll never beat your social anxiety. Go... make out with a boy or something. You'll enjoy it, trust me. Unless he's really weird."
"Also, if he works at KFC. Don't... just don't date that kid." She warned, looking sternly at the girl. "Unless you hook me up with a 2-piece feed."
Looking at the newest arrivals, Lena moved next to May and fell onto her gently, keeping her pinned as she kept one arm wrapped around the girl, trying to pull her out of her nest.
"Lighten up." She said, a smile across her face. She adjusted her nose ring for a second before she rested her head on May. "You're a very bad influence on Amrita and her chocolate brown goodness."
"Hey, Willow and Saskia." She said, hopping up. Lena was going at a thousand miles a second, going to hug the two already. Fuck, man. She was such a needy cunt. "I'm Lena."
It was then she realized she was being annoying and pulled away from the two, laughing anxiously.
"Sorry about that." She apologized sincerely. "Someone... uuh... someone gave me coffee."
"Of course!" Lucy looked shocked that there would be any other option. She composed herself, adjusting her glasses. "Your sister's place is a mess, and it's going to be way to crowded even with just your parents and brother over there. Willow can go spend the night at her friend's house, and if nothing else, my bed's big enough that we could share it."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I wasn't asking you why you hadn't, dear, I was asking you to tell them now. You know how terrible I am at talking about.... anything, without knowing WHAT to talk about." As Saskia looked to her, she sharpened her look. "I think I know your father, is all. You share a name with his daughter, for one."
"Aw, Willow, you stole my seat," the boy gave a small, playful whine, sitting on the arm of the couch, holding onto its back so he wouldn't fall off easily.

What all have you got going on today?" With the cauldron firmly secured in the closet, Goody drew in a labored breath, reaching in her pocket for an inhaler, which she, well, inhaled from. Sweeping her hair back, she gave Liz and Chris a look. "Today?" she jabbed a thumb out at the closet door. " That's what I had going on today. And the day before. And they day before. And so on. Soooo . . . yeah, I think my busy schedule miiight just have an opening for you two. I'll have my people call your people, yeah?"

"Thank heavens, I'm not sure if I could listen to my mother's nagging for another minute..." "I wasn't asking you why you hadn't, dear, I was asking you to tell them now. You know how terrible I am at talking about.... anything, without knowing WHAT to talk about." "I'm even worse about that than you are, Mum." May replied, pointedly ignoring Lena as she often did when nervous. "How do I say 'we're almost filthy rich and are slightly famous in Europe' without sounding like a snob?" Bishop gave a laugh. "Could'a jus' said we're very borin' outsid'a you and your siblin's." "And the fact you're taller than Andre the Giant?" "...Only by half'a metre." The man shrugged. "Aw, Willow, you stole my seat," the boy gave a small, playful whine, sitting on the arm of the couch, holding onto its back so he wouldn't fall off easily. The girl merely stuck her tongue out in response to her brother. "Move your feet loose you sea--" "Hey, Willow and Saskia." She said, hopping up. Willow looked startled as Lena pulled her into a hug. To say that was expected would be the most damning sort of lie. "...Lena, the fuck kind of coffee did you get and why aren't you sharing it with me?" Willow asked, rather bluntly at that, as the Swedish girl let go of her and Saskia. "I could really, really use the energy lately." ((I'll reply to the rest tomorrow, sorry))

Liz snorted.
"Okay Goods. Chris, you got anything going on today?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Completely understandable," Lucy gave a small laugh at her relief, "From what you've told me, your mom has freaking impossibly high standards for you."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Harley stared at the group, as Lena and Amrita and Willow all seemed to get into some form of argument. She hid her curling upper lip with her coffee mug before deciding it best to reply to Saskia.
"Darling, my daughter's best friend is someone here in America. It's not too terribly hard to meet someone in closer-knit countries in Europe, and besides, I travel a lot. Your father - is his name Pascal, by any chance?"
The blonde boy leaned down from his perch and quietly whispered to his girlfriend, "You're famous?"

"Woah! Woah! Chill, Chocolate Brown!" Lena said, putting her hands up defensively. She took another sip of her coffee, shrugging. "I'm sorry, I really am. I'm just... touchy. I'm like those people who used hand gestures too much, only not and I get in your space."
"You, young lady, need to relax a bit." She continued. "You're all tense. You should stop. That's how you get wrinkles and die alone, sweetie."
"O-Oh, no... just coffee. I'm... I'm really sorry." She apologized. She started rambling again once more, gesturing with her free hand wildly. "I mean... I just woke up, I've been running around, they're masturbating at my computer again, May is being weird. It all adds up and I'm just energetic."
"I should of asked before I got all "let's bump chesticles" and shit with you, but you know... breastify sister and all that shit." She said, smiling at the girl. "You two want anything? I just got some shopping done. Also, tell your brother to lay off his girlfriend. She's mine. I can't get it through to him. He just won't listen to me."

Said boy in question gave a small snort, smiling widely over to Lena.
"I dunno man, I would have thought she's mine since we're dating?" He paused, and realized how bad that sounded, his grin faltering for a moment. "I-I mean, not that she belongs to anybody, but.... ah..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back at the cafe, though at a place much nearer the corner than Lucy and Carrie, sat a large group of people. To most people, they seemed very ordinary, or at least, a group you'd simply scan over while looking. That was the point, really.
But the group itself was much different the closer one got into their ranks. For one, the noise seemed to cancel out all around them, and to passersby, it looked like they weren't even talking to one another, just watching each other and eating their pastries and sipping their coffee.
Inside the 'bubble' of magic, however, things were a bit different. James, the blonde leader of this group, was calmly sitting at the very edge, hands resting calmly on the table and watching the others as he spoke with a voice that seemed ill-fitting for his appearance, but one that the group, by now, understood quite well.
"ARE THERE ANY REPORTS?" The voice didn't so much boom as subtly crash over them like a tidal wave. "ANY NEWS FROM THE POLICE? ANYTHING NEW FOUND AT ALL?"
