Okay, so here's the thing. A change in management is happening for the site, since I'm being promoted to head admin. Because of this, I am going to be making changes around the site and try to shift focus away from discussion of Stephanie Meyer, and more to general fandom and writing/roleplaying and advertising the site that way.
And here's the thing. The Serious Business board is a major deterrent, in my opinion. It attracts a negative attention, as very few people want to join a site with a political/religious discussion board since it's considered too much of a hot button issue.
So here's the question. Should I close the board all together? It's something I feel should be left up to the community.
And as a note, even if I keep the board open, I will be setting either a post number requirement to enter or add a password.
Poll closes in a week.

I rather like the political/religious board. For one thing it keeps the discussion out of other forums and gives a place for it to be without interfering with others.
Post number requirement and password locked I can sorta see of course, making it "invisible" to all but members or something. But if you remove it, those discussions might slip into the other forums where they might be less appreciated.

Do we even have any of those?
Like... 90% of this board is dead, sans Roleplay Universe. IMO, just delete it all and start fresh with a new image and name so that we can actually get new people and not ride off the back of something that was relevant years ago.

"Fifty Shades Of Grey Sucks" doesn't have quite the same ring.
Toss "Mortal Instruments" in there as well... it's a Harry Potter Draco/Hermini fanfiction as I recall... of course I haven't read the book and can only claim the movie kinda sucks.
And I'll agree that a condensing of the forums is probably needed. Serious Business probably doesn't need a whole Politics and Religion subforum, it should be reduced to just one forum until/unless we get enough traffic again to warrant that many forums for something that is basically an excuse for rants(which I think we have a 'vents' forum already, but putting the Serious Business arguments in the Vents section might lead to hard feelings).
I'm not really following traffic on all the subforums... which ones are the LEAST active? I mean I know I'm still carrying on a conversation in Serious Business(albeit a slow one, but so are a number of the storylines in the artist and roleplaying sections) so while I could be wrong, I actually think some of the more specific Twilight forums might be less active(Condense them down, we don't need four subforums for the subject). Or the "club" subforums or anything else that hasn't had any activity in it since last year...

I have no idea what sub-boards are the least active, at least right now. I'll probably look into it while I'm compressing boards together/generally thinning things out, which I started doing today.
