Stephenie Meyer came out with a new book this past November 2016 called The Chemist. stepheniemeyer.com/project/the-chemist/Apparently it's a spy/thriller for adults. From a quick glance of the reviews I'm seeing online, people are saying it's very formulaic and the science fails. Hmm, really? I've downloaded a sample, but I don't read this genre so who knows when I'll finish it, much less read the entire book.

The New York Times claims she's been consulting scientific experts on some of the torture methods in The Chemist; one of the experts cited was "Kirstin Hendrickson, a senior lecturer at the School of Molecular Sciences at Arizona State University". If that's true, then good for her for at least trying to make more of an effort to do the necessary research for her newer books, which was severely lacking in the Twilight books. Hey you know what I had been kind of meaning to finish the book. I'm just not sure when I'll get to it. So many more interesting things to read on my list.
