Necroing.
I am on the third book and so far, it was so boring.
The first book is the best because it was so rich in plot and there are a lot of things happening. The second book was okay although it was boring at first. It started after the games just ended and Katniss and Peeta go on tour from district to district but afterwards I was interested towards the end.
I love Finnick Odair. He is just an awesome character.
I liked Peeta but I hate what they did to him in Mockingjay. They turned him against Katniss.

^ I agree. I feel like anytime they were actually in the arena (in book 1 and 2) was really, really good but other than that I just didn't like the books that much.

I actually loved the entire thing. I actually enjoyed seeing them outside of the arena in addition to the actual games. I liked to see them interact with their everyone and see how things were going on in Panem.

I liked to see them interact with their everyone and see how things were going on in Panem. I don't think it's bad seeing them outside the arena and that isn't my issue with the book. It's how Suzanne Collins executed the plot. It just doesn't make sense how President Snow is able to be in power for that long. I just finished the third book. I must say that I was shocked that Snow and Katniss are both being played by Coin. It shows that she's a lot worse than Snow. I honestly consider her more of a villain than President Snow since she's ruthless and power hungry. She never liked Katniss but has to use her but once she doesn't need Katniss, then she wants to kill her. I also think that the love triangle was forced. I'm a sucker for romance. I like romance but THG trilogy honestly isn't a romance novel. I think that it tries too hard. When I first started reading the THG, I was Team Gale but the more I read the books, the more I realize that THG is so much more than the love triangle. Besides, Gale and Katniss are more like brother and sister. I didn't like the epilogue the most, the epilogue skips too far and shows that Katniss ended up with Peeta. As I said, it seems forced and it's like the very last minute.

Watched the movies and didn't like them much, sorry not a fan. Have you read the book series yet? I'm gonna say this: the world building in the trilogy sucks. I felt like the world doesn't make sense and I didn't know much about Panem other than the fact that they ask for 1 boy and 1 girl to participate in the The Hunger Games arena. I wanted to know more about the Dark Days and Panem's history. Also, I hate how Katniss treated Buttercup because she,"doesn't want another mouth to feed." They need a cat in order to catch the mice. Just saying.

If you disliked Katniss solely in the movie alone, I don't think you're gonna like the book in general. The book is written from her perspective and we get to be inside her head a lot. She was unbearable in the third book.

It's not just in the movies, the love triangle felt even more forced in the book. No kidding. I honestly think Suzanne Collins only included the love triangle to get teens to read it. Before I read THG, I thought I was Team Gale but now, I'm team neither. Katniss doesn't have a romantic bone in her.
