WHERE IS THE EXCERPT? It's already 4:42!
Granted, it could be in New York's business hours or something, which makes no sense because Richelle lives in the same timezone as me...
Arg, my throat hurts. I think I'm excited/stressed.

On her FB page, Richelle said there were "technical dificulties" so the chapter won't be up until tomorrow. =\

There's already a plothole in the first chapter: Okay, don't the wards keep ghosts (and Strigoi) out? Why is Rose able to contact ghosts if she's under the wards? (And she's at Court, so she'd be under wards.)

D: That sucks, Phoenix. Once you're done with college and are out for a break, I suggest buying the books.
Okay, random question: Who prefers the version one covers? I don't particularly like the new ones, They just don't do VA justice. -___--

I like that we saw different characters, not just Rose. And none of the characters on the old covers looked like they were ill or badly Photoshopped.

Eh, the only thing I can do is point out flaws, but I'd do that anyway. ETA: Oh hey, do you have a TV Tropes account, Alice? 'Cause someone really needs to change the following to a four instead of two: Also, it needs to be noted that Olena wasn't a whore, but some (not all) dhampir women are. I don't really want to get an account, because I already spend enough time on that site, and it would just be a bad idea for me to get one.

I jsut finished it.
This book is completely, insanely, amazingly mind boggling. Truly. One a page I wouid cheer and cry out, "Yes!", but in the next paragraph I would be going, "No! Don't say that!"
I read it and in some bits, I was so excited to find out what happened, and in some bits I didn't want to read n in fear of the may happen. But the biggest ting? I got my wish. Oh my gosh, and it all solved itself-- more smoothly than I could have hoped!
This book is not perfect-- trust me, there are some bits where I thought it worked out too perfectly. and some bits where I felt things could have gone a bit better, but really, it all balanced itself, despite my unhappiness. THIS BOOK IS SO AMAZING. And I've read it before you al!! MUAHAHAHA!! >

I thought it was tons better than SB. Although the bit with the Moroi in the forest was really bizarre and didn't seem to fit in at all. It felt way too much like Uglies.
And I kind of feel like there's something missing with Adrian - he was just left pissed off and crazy. There was no closure.

I think Adrian and his pissyness will be dealt with in Bloodlines, the VA spin-off coming in August next year. Ahh, so excited about that!!
Demeter, were you happy with who Rose ended up with? A lot of my friends think Dimitri is an asshole and wanted her to ended up with Adrian! I won in the end, though, muahaha! XD

XD Well, I do kind of like Adrian, but LS did a good job hammering in how him and Rose would never work, etc. So... yes. I am happy. Especially because Dimitri isn't acting like a fucking twelve year old anymore.

IKR?! His personality cfhanged soooo much during these past three books! It's weird.
Also, the whole Mikahil/Tomas thing confused me. In LS, when I read about Mikhail, I was like, WHA!?! and then I worked out that they were the same person. -___- In my mind, though, they don't look the same!! They just don't, haha.
ALso, my dad rodered me the first two VA books in Russian and my mum bet me $100 that I wouldn't finish them. Sucka... Well, okay, I do admit that reading Russian gives me a huge headache since I haven't done it in so damn long, but I will finish them!~

^ Granted, a ton of things changed for Dimitri and he had to feel guilty about some of it. But still. Not even trying to talk to Rose and explain what he was thinking/going through like a rational person?
Is it weird that I always get a little freaked out whenever he shows emotions/drops his guard? I think it's because for the first two and a half books, he didn't do anything. But then he did.

So I'm on Chapter 4 of the novel
I like it, I actually do like it. Although it does get slow with introductions (the whole school thing), it's otherwise really great.
It already beats out Twilight because of Chapter1, where it shows the characters on the run. Great way to start a series, with some action.
I wish I knew why, they keep hinting at it and it makes me wants to scream at the characters to tell me already.
Good book ;D

YAY!! We got Phoenix addicted!! XD
Eee, so excited to talk about it with you!!
And Demter, yeah, I kinda feel freaked out when Dimitri is emotional. Like, I loved him in the first three books and in the last one... I think he let go because he knew that life doesn't last. EIther way, I am so glad that everything worked out for the star couple.
Also, Phoenix, if we accidentally spoil it for you, I'm reallyyyy sorry. D:

Why I've never really got is why Lissa and Jill seem so at odds. I know that Lissa was being a crazy bitch during the whole fourth book, but I thought they would have made up or something after that. I thought Lissa got along well with (almost) everyone.

Twenty-ninth date is confirmed. The chapter will be up during business hours. (And it's the thirtieth for you, Alice.) ETA: Where's Ren? This thread doesn't feel the same without her. (Ren is a girl, right?) Ren is here! And is no longer Ren. What have I missed?

So I'm at chapter 11.
I . . . strangely like Christian. I guess even I fall for the bad boys *quickly hides pictures of Karasu*

Eh. Lissa is alright. Kinda of bland (wallflowers kind of fall that way), but otherwise alright. But then again I haven't read THAT far ahead

So I finished Book 1 of Vampire Academy . . .
. . . And the moment I did that, I begged my mom to buy the rest of the series.
And after that, I started recommending this to everyone and even trying to write a review about it. Good grief!
I haven't been this hooked since Percy Jackson.
Why am I more hooked on younger stuff than Stephen King? Hm . . .

Yay! I was kind of scared you'd hate it. I forgot which user this was, but she came in here (in the old forums) and totally started bagging VA before she;d even finished reading it. I think she said she couldn't get past the third chapter. *rolls eyes* If you're going to rag on a book, then you should at least have finished it. -______-
I'm so sad that this series is over. Seriously, it's been an amazingly awesome journey-- with all the excitement and nervousness of awaiting the new books, of talking about it-- and I look forward to next year, when Bloodlines is released.
I dunno about you guys, but I really can't put into words at how great these past two years have been for me because of VA. I got most of my friends addicted and had to withstand the long waits while they borrowed the books (while I can finish a VA book in roughly a day, my friends aren't as fast as I am Dx), and I remember spoiling the ending of BP for my friend and squealing with her about LS.

I remember that! And you guys got into a debate about it; seriously, I was gone for like a day and that happened. How long did they last again?
