Has your school done anything like these? Talent shows are like this.
My school, at the end of the year, always does what we call Cabaret, where the choir kids and others get to go up and sing songs either in full production, or in solos/duets. I plan on doing either 'Uninvited' by Allanis Morrisette, 'Unchained Melody' by the Righteous Brothers, or 'Someone to Watch Over Me' this year.

My school has a writers/directors workshop, in which we have two shows. For the January one, we write a monologue and we either perform it ourselves or we get someone else to do it. In the spring, we have a show just like the January one, but with short skits.

We used to do a musical cabaret, but the new theatre teacher isn't sure if she wants to continue it.
So right now, all we have are talent shows. Which, um. I really don't go to. Oh, and we have these showcases for the theatre classes. They're called "quarterlies", and we show off what we've done in the marking period. Which, um, we're kind of obligated to do.
