I tend to write free verse poetry in my spare time, so I'm sharing some here. First one is untitled as of yet, but here goes:
The fate of the earth had changed when you signed the cursed sheet. Sorrow and despair mesh over one another in the circumstances you have created. When will this string of calamities end? The answer is dictated by those fingers of yours. Although I sense a bad omen, I can't help but want to be embraced by them. If we sacrifice the lives of many, will we have our eternity? My mouth opens to end these tragedies, yet is silenced by your lips. You had made this pact, but since when were others involved in it? These eyes of mine have forgotten the beauty of bliss, but my body is indulged by the fulfillment of deep desire. Although my inner demons accept this reality, I cannot allow innocents to die for the sake of pleasure. Thus the one who was forced to partake in sin makes her own cursed deal. For the sacrifice of an unwanted fulfillment is nothing compared to the losses people have suffered from our sexual pleasure. I take this cursed blade into my hand, and strike you down, freeing the land.

Turn me to ash and give me back to nature. After all, to the universe we are specks of dust.

This one is called Fading Ember. It's pretty short.
The dreams of my freedom had once again been lost. Although this castle is painted beautifully, being confined here is a curse. I feel this hourglass pouring to my fate. I walk over to the fellow residents, yet they stare at me with hollow and smiling eyes. I am born of flame, yet I feel myself turning to ash, fearing that I may never rise out of them again, as my body is damaged beyond repair from my countless attempts to free myself. This faint heartbeat hastens as the giant holds me again. I feel her sweet love as she grips my body with her gargantuan hand, yet this feels a bit unusual. An ominous feeling comes over me as I am placed into a strange barrier. Upon a sudden realization, I cry out, “Please don’t throw me away!”
