After a long time, longer than I would want it to be my muse has returned. I using this time to write and I've had this question though, what can I do to help me stick to it? Sometimes I drop a project and start another one, I don't want to do that this time so any tips?

Maybe write some ideas in a note book regarding your story? Write some outlines regarding how your story will starrt and end? Find some songs that you love the best that reminds you of your story and listen to them when you want to work on your story?

I am ironically outlining the entire novel, I never have a song for writing, I'll try that.

When you have an idea of key events you want to take place, try researching them and getting passionate - this not only helps you understand the context and content of your work, but helps you clarify how you're going to write it.

This is something I struggle with as well. Though it doesn't make ALL the problems go away, sometimes when I'm feeling passionate about something, I'll write events out of order. Like, I'll write what I'm feelin passionate about and then fill in the gaps.
