I love this girl and all of her other videos. And she makes a lot of sense.. I mean writers nowadays aren't as creative as they used to be, all they want is to make money by using the same premises over and over again

Is there another twilight fanfic being published? It sounded like she said that in the video

Is there another twilight fanfic being published? It sounded like she said that in the video I know of two others that have been published. One is "Sempre", which was called Emancipation Proclamation (as a funfact, the author of that fic and the author of fifty shades HATE each other, and apparently there was a lot of wank.) The other was called Boycotts and Barflies, but I don't remember the book title. Also, both were published before 50 Shades and obviously weren't nearly as successful.

^ Her attitude annoys me. Sure fandom can be pretty annoying, especially the Twilight fandom, but if they're the reason you ever got anywhere as an "author", then don't treat them like garbage!

I honestly can't wrap my head around the fact that most if not all notable wanks are carried out by adults. Adults who are married and have children. Imagine your mum being part of a heated wank in Twilight fandom. How absurd!
Or maybe that's the problem. They're adults who don't know anything about fannish (or internet) culture and don't even realise what they're doing until it's too late.

^ It seems like pretty much all Big Name Fans are adults. Which makes sense on some level, cause adults are more likely to write something well written, than teenagers. Of course as we see with people like E.L. James... I dunno why she was such a big deal. I've seen fics like this everywhere in every fandom. There's nothing special about it.
I've gotten to the sex scenes in the das_ sporking recap. All I got to say is how do people find this sexy? The sex is so horribly described that it makes me want to remain celibate.

^ I think there's one part where the sex is described as "pushing and pushing" - I get that everyone finds different things sexy and all, and more power to them, but... how the fans are getting so hot and bothered by this drivel is beyond me.

I've read plenty of stuff by teenagers and even pre-teens that's miles beyond anything James or Meyer could write.

But isn't the main character in college? That's not pedophilia if they are both consenting adults -- even with the age difference. Looking at the comments and the analysis, I really hate to say this but . . . they're kinda pulling a lot of shit out of their asses. They sound more like conspiracy theorists then a bunch of actual literary critics.

Still, Ana consistently thinks like a child (her Inner Goddess consistently does childish things like tumbling and cartwheels), talks like a child (golly, gee whiz, "down there," double crap), and acts like a child, apparently needs to be told what to do on several occasions where the action seems obvious, and she and Grey have multiple exchanges of "stop treating me like a child!" "Well you're acting like a child!" and she even puts on the appearance of a child at least once (putting her hair in pigtails after their first time). If it looks like a [child] and acts like a [child] and sounds like a [child] I'm pretty sure that's what I'm meant to be reading about. I personally thought the analogy of an underage girl with a fake ID going to a bar was a fairly apt description. The author saying "she's 21" is Ana's fake ID. It's supposed to be played off as two consenting adults, but if you didn't tell me Ana was in college and that she was 21, I would have put her at 15, 16 at the oldest based on how she talks and acts.
Now, I know not every adult swears like a sailor. I know I don't. But I can still THINK the words "penis" and "vagina" and even say them out loud in front of people without snickering behind my hand or blushing. The fact that Ana apparently can't is indicative of a level of mental and emotional maturity far below what we're told she has.

I don't think it has to do with pedophilia though, I think it has to do with shit writing. "Oh we need a pure mary sue! I'll just write her so that she never swears or has taken a single sex ed course! See how pure and innocent my Mary Sue is?" I still think this story is awfully written, poorly portrays BDSM, and inspires abuse . . . but I think pedophilia is a bit of a stretch. And I still think the commenters are looking for something that is not there.

Meyer didn't intend to write abuse, sexism, victim blaming, or racism into her novels, either. And yeah, a lot of the comments are a little out there, but I was kind of focusing on the article more than the comments.

If we're talking pedophilia then let's not forget how their unborn daughter, "Likes sex already," or how Christian licks the popsicle drips from his son's fingers. That whole thing squicked me out beyond reason. Why would someone write that!?

That whole thing squicked me out beyond reason. Why would someone write that!? Wait they become parents?...Those poor kids... In the last book, I believe. From what I can discern, Ana gets accidentally pregnant because she fails to go and get her contraceptive injection on time, Cristian flips his lid and is a typical abusive asshole but then they keep the baby (they are a married couple after all) and call him Teddy. Yes, that well known nickname for Edward. Later she gts pregnant again though I don't know if this was another mistake baby.

^ And it's a girl! And she "already likes sex"! And it makes me think they're going to mold her from conception into their perfect sexual companion. Which is almost every kind of wrong.

Why the hell would someone assume their unborn child likes sex anyway? What sort of action for the fetus ellicits that statement? ._.

^Basically they have sex while she's still in utero and afterwards she starts "dancing" which elicits the comment from Christian. No healthy minded person would say or even think that about their own daughter. I doubt any parent wants to particularly think about their daughter even having sex.

I checked Tv Tropes and found out Christian actually does RAPE Ana quite a few times.
. . . Ya know, I thought this would have been a so-bad-it's-awesome story (a la Final Fantasy Advent Children, Batman and Robin) . . . but now . . .
It has officially become So-Bad-It's-Shinju-Mayu, this is Haoi Airen ALL OVER AGAIN! WHY do women love this shit again?! Just . . . no. No no NO!
I need something to drink -- Tequila might work.
