"A small blessing I've drawn from within my curse." The shadow where DarkSon should have been replied softly. There was more than enough echo in the chamber as it was, and he didn't seem to want to add too much noise to their progress, but he also seemed to be trying to be at least somewhat friendly.
As they came closer, words could start to be made out from ahead.
"... our ranks will swell..."
"... Rector even now consults..."
"... has arrived? A glorious day! The true path will be shown to those lost souls..."
At least five voices, though not all of them could be made out. They did seem to be talking to one another, as the voices rose and fell as if responding, but the hesitant tones implied that they could just be muttering to themselves loudly.
A light could now be made out from up ahead as well, though still dim and around a curve in the tunnel.

Annie immediately started putting pieces into her head.
Rector might be some sort of priest or medium of which they're contacting whatever it is they're worshiping. Which has apparently arrived, and his coming means he'll show the "true" path to those lost souls. Either that or a messianic figure or some sort.
The Inferno Witch listened in, hoping to pick up more of the conversation, while wondering if she'd heard the name Rector somewhere before.

What's Rector? the Bright knight wondered. For a moment, she considered asking DarkSon, but decided now was the time to shut up. She could ask later, or maybe they would hear it from the Lost Ones.

((I'm going to wait until the Creeper can react, since I'm willing to bet he won't stay quiet now that there's new people to interact with just around the corner. However, a quick Reasoning check: a rector is a member of a religious group with some authority. It is not a common title/rank but isn't unheard of. Also, there is no known(to our characters) super hero or villain using that word as their name.))
"The coming change sings in my veins, already I feel it. What of the new recruits?"
"They have not yet embraced the path... they still believe us the ones who are lost."
"When the Rector has finished consulting with our honored guest, then they will be shown..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ((And to dramatically shift the scene...))
Cupid's walk home was quite uneventful. After stepping out of the back of the parked van that somehow was dimensionally linked to the door to the Pocket D, she'd walked the streets unmolested(as long as you don't count Creeper). Considering that this was the big city, and past sundown, it was a testament to the minor criminals ability to recognize that a little girl in a frilly outfit with bright pink hair could be more dangerous than a college student walking alone.
She was almost home when she heard it, and even then didn't recognize what the sound was immediately. Though she did connect it with the glowing light in the sky that flew over the street, leaving a trail of smoke in the air. She had the briefest of impressions of a jet, though clearly much too small to be a vehicle.
She'd heard the splash as the object flew in a wavering pattern over an apartment complex and then apparently fallen into the shared pool behind the building. The fact that the sound cut off at that point meant it was either the whine of the jet engines, or the pilot screaming like a little girl as he lost control. The fact that, just prior to the splash, the scream seemed to turn into a cut off obsenity pointed to the truth of the matter.
At this, Annie frowned, and her fists tightened.
It sounded as though they'd taken people hostage, and were brainwashing them. With whatever it was that they're Rector was done asking whatever it was for guidance. What was it? Was it just some human? Was it a demon? An alien? Some form of Fae? A spirit? A Lich? There were so many possibilities.
Creeper grinned.
"Guys," He said, loudly, "I've got this."
He lowered his armor, pocketed his phone, and stepped towards the lights, feet splashing in the water, his tattooed arms flailing.
"The British are coming!" He yelled, "Man the canons, the port-bow wind breaks along the shore!"
He stopped, looking at the people talking, "Is this a sewer orgy? I'll have you know I've been in one before. I've had experience. Although I'd prefer to be on-top. It's nothing against you, but I like to grab man-boobs from the top-downs."
Cupid set off running after the ball, towards the shouting of profanities, towards the wreckage of the... glowing light. What was that? Where did it come from? Why was it here? How did it crash? So many good questions.
"Are you okay?!" She was asking despite herself as she came to the site.
The underground "room" was made by several of the storm drain lines converging at this point, meaning it was rather spacious. It was also somewhat cluttered with debris. Cardboard boxes, most of them damp and collapsing, made for divisions of the space into various areas, some discarded furniture had been hauled into place, and barrels of paper and other refuse were lit to fitfully illuminate the area.
Creeper had barely a moment to gather this in, and so couldn't count how many people were in the area. There were more than the voices had implied, as several were sitting around or burrowed under the debris to sleep. It was, after all, night time.
No, what drew his attention were the people, presumably the source of the voices, who were nearest the entrance. They apparently were standing as inner guards, possibly reenforcements, had the outer ones managed to call for them.
They were surprisingly big. And less surprisingly armored. One of them wore a television box over his head as a helmet, with sections of a tire strapped to his body. The other seemed to be wearing a stop sign tied to his chest, while a third had parts of garbage cans on his heavy padded but ill fitting jacket.
There was a moments pause as Creeper managed to say his spiel, like they were shocked at his appearance.
From within the shadows around the corner, back where Inferno Witch and Bright Knight stood, the sound of a leather gauntleted palm striking a forehead could be heard.
"INTRUDERS!" Bellowed one of these guardians, as they all grabbed up weapons such as tire irons and sledge hammers.
((Our heroes get a free move to either close the distance or armor up or attempt diplomacy.))
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The scene Cupid came on looked quite comical. The lights from the apartments were bright enough that the pool was illuminated, and there floundering in it looked to be... well, she remembered on television advertisements for beer claiming to promote "man powered flight" where idiots in swim trunks pedaled bicycles with cardboard wings off a dock into the water. Obviously there were smarter people with better designs, but they didn't sell beer nearly as well as something you could laugh at.
This guy looked like he was wearing a costume kitbashed from some sort of toy jet, an F15 perhaps, as long as he was tall. Mostly white, with red trim on the wings. He was sputtering and trying to pull himself out of the pool, despite the nose of the jet sticking out in front of him, and the wings making it impossible to reach above or behind him with his arms.
He coughed again and managed to pull himself out after what had to be multiple attempts Cupid hadn't managed to witness. He seemed to be wearing a helmet, with a silver face mask that made him look like a robot. The eyes were red lenses that finally seemed to focus on her.
His one arm swung up instinctively, lining up some kind of wrist mounted weapon on Cupid, as he sputtered out in a nasally voice "Who are you?!" It wasn't the best answer to her question, but it seemed to cover the basics.

Creeper's armor plating collapsed around him. He had a moment to ready himself, grabbing a nearby piece of rebar as his weaponry.
He twitched and spasmed, giggling, "BRING IT ON!"

"Hold on!" Said the Bright Knight, glancing at DarkSon and stepping out of the shadows. "We don't want to fight you; we just want to know who you are!" This may not have been true, strictly speaking. But she would have preferred not to have to fight these people. One look at their makeshift armour and the cold, foul-smelling place they called home told her there was nothing honorable about a bunch of superheroes taking them on, at least without being sure they threatened the public. A real Knight wouldn't do it. Silently cursing her own armour, she took another step forward.

Cupid jumped back, going on the defense.
"I'm just a kid!" She said. Well, it was the truth. He didn't need to really know 'superhero'... if he could see her, he'd know pretty quickly, after all. "What happened here, mister? What were you doing? In fact, who are YOU?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Stormdrain Intersection
DarkSon may have advanced along with Bright Knight, but it was hard to see to be sure. He kept himself in his own shadows. He was more than willing to use the two armored heroes as a distraction.
"Who are we? We are the Lost Ones! Those who embrace the change, the true path!" The one wearing a Television box as a helmet came at Creeper, swinging a sledge hammer. From further in to the tunnel other voices started to raise as people were roused to alertness.
"Trying to sleep here..."
"What's going on?"
"Intruders! Make ready to defend the Rector and the Holy One."
"Are we being saved?"
"Quiet newcomer, we are your salvation, not these false idols!"
"Help! We're back here!"
"Silence the initiates, repel the intruders!"
As the larger guard wearing strips of tires and wielding, appropriately enough, a tireiron came past the campfire in a barrel that lit and heated the dank tunnel it was easy enough to make out that his skin was stretched, with strange scabs and other deformation marks. The hand that held the weapon seemed to have it's fingers fused together, as if trying to form a hoof. Though none of the heroes noticed it yet, tape and gauze wrapped parts of some of the other Lost Ones, showing that they were starting towards the mutation of these larger figures as well. Others seemed perfectly normal still. Here in the dark tunnels it was easy enough to not notice such details, particularly in the chaos brewing.
((Inferno Witch can enter the area of the fight or not. Assuming she does, combat starts with the following order of actions:
Inferno Witch, Creeper, Bright Knight, DarkSon, TireIron, TrashBin, TVHead, Homeless Vagrants(unknown how many), Creepers second action for the turn due to high agility, Bright Knights second action for the turn due to high agility, and DarkSon's second action for the turn due to high agility, TireIrons second action for the turn due to high agility, TrashBins second action for the turn due to high agility, TVHeads second action for the turn due to high agility.
If Inferno Witch stays back around the corner, then the above proceeds without Inferno Witch having the first move. Also note that you can delay your action if you wish to mix up the order, and if the lights go out I'm going to have to re-order these as order of action is based on the Intuition stat and darkness will lower that for some people.
Also, I'm going to assume your characters are going to make an effort to defend themselves, unless you tell me otherwise. In a melee the defenders Fighting stat is checked against the attackers Fighting stat, plus or minus applicable modifiers, and if the defender has a higher one they block/parry/sidestep the attack automatically. So I'll write that happening unless you want your character to do otherwise(say trying to focus on lining up a surer hit and trusting their armor to keep them alive as they leave themselves open).))
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Apartment complex pool
"Who am I?" The soaking wet armored man asked in an outraged voice. "Who am I?! The nerve of kids these days..."
He lowered his arm weapon and instead used it to grab the nose cone of his jet suit. He managed to push it down, seemingly triggering several other parts of his suit as well, as the "cockpit" opened up and let him duck his head through it while the rest of the nose lay down flat against his chest, clicking into place with a plastic snap. He shifted about a little, as if trying to get his wings to adjust properly, making the jet shape that he apparently had been riding like a handglider now wrap around his body.
"I am Air Commander Starscream! Leader of the Skyraiders! Or close enough anyway." He declared proudly, hopping on one leg while shaking the other in a rather comical manner. There was a sputter as the thrusters on his boots cleared themselves of pool water. "I'm sure you're in awe of my fearsome power. Why just earlier I faced off against at least six of this cities so call heroes, and escaped unscathed thanks to my amazing prowess in battle."
While, yes, it did look like his suit was mostly unharmed, aside from the crash landing in the pool, 'unscathed' would have been pushing the issue. There were a few scars on the armor that he couldn't have gotten from the crash. In fact, the damage is probably what made him crash. Plus, Cupid remembered very distinctly that BlackWall had said there was a whole fleet of Skyraiders she and her teammates had tangled with. It seemed that this 'Air Commander', if he had any actual rank at all, had lost all his minions during that fight.

Annie glared. So this was what was going on. It was a brainwashing cult. But that meant that it's members for the most part were innocent, and had done nothing wrong other than falling into whatever this thing's trap was.
This meant she couldn't kill any of them.
She came out from the corner she was hiding in and aimed her hand at the cultist with the tire iron. She barked a word incomprehensible to the others, and a powerful force hit the cultist who went flying back into the wall.
The objectives of the others might be different, but Annie knew what she had to do. She had to get the ones who hadn't been brainwashed out, then she'd take care of the Rector. She couldn't let the civilians get hurt, and she couldn't kill the homeless either, they were just as much the victims here then any of the others. She didn't exactly know what they could do yet.

The Bright Knight hesitated only a moment. Then, unsheathing her sword, she charged the guards. They, at least, were a definite threat, and looked big enough for the fight to be fair, now that the Bright Knight@s eyes had adjusted.

((In order, please forgive if I'm repeating.))
Inferno Witch's forcebolt struck the tire wearing guard and flung him back, smashing through a few cardboard boxes and striking the concrete wall but as he bounced off the wall he landed back on his feet, still holding his weapon even. He didn't even look hurt from the blow, though how much that was true couldn't readily be seen. But at least he was out of the way. (Agility check, with surprise bonus. Narrowly succeeds)
Creepers efforts were less effective. He side stepped and drove his piece of rebar at the face of the TV wearing guard, but the guard seemed to move just slightly better. Not faster, but more anticipating of Creepers speed. The rebar drove itself through the side of the television box as the wearer twisted in mid-charge, avoiding his head completely. (Fighting check, failure)
Off to Creepers right the sound of metal unsheathing could be heard as a steely hiss and she launched herself at a counter charge with the trash bin wearing guard. The two collided as DarkSon slipped through the opening Inferno Witch had created.
Bright Knight clashed with her guard, parrying the swing of his weapon. Metal rang on metal as his blow was diverted and the two armored forms crashed into one another. For a moment they seemed locked, and then the quality of Bright Knights conditioning, not to mention her armor, showed true, shoving the guard away and causing him to stumble over some of the discarded debris that littered the area. (Endurance contest, Bright Knight wins)
It wasn't the only metal that rang out. In that moment, just a mere fraction of a second after the rebar had entered his helmet, the TVhead guard finished twisting his body, putting the full force of his charge into swinging his sledge hammer. The hammer struck Creepers armor with bone shattering force... enough to knock Creeper to the side, making him stumble and either drop his rebar, or twist in such a way as to leave him open for the next attack. But not enough to do more than rattle him. (Fighting check, Creeper fails, armor check Creeper succeeds, no damage dealt)
"Stop the intruders!" Could be heard, followed by a gunshot that echoed through the tunnel like thunder. DarkSon's shadows seemed to drop away as he staggered back, revealing himself. "And 'lo, the beasts of darkness came forth to test the true believer, and he did stand fir..." DarkSon snapped forward and caught the homeless mans wrist, twisting and trying to take the revolver away from him.
Behind his tinted glasses the bright red glow spiked up another notch, and DarkSon levitated himself to get better leverage and appear much taller. "That. Hurt." He growled, baring his fangs, apparently having taken the bullet to his chest or shoulders, though there was no immediate sign of injury.
Bright Knight felt a pair of arms wrap around her from behind as one of the vagrants came out of the debris and tried to grab her. "This one is strong! We must show them the Path, make them one of us..." Their grip however was nothing to her own strength, and breaking free would be easy for her.
Just like, even though he stood at a disadvantage in his fight against the guard, Creeper easily ducked his head, letting a chunk of brick miss him. The thrower scooped up another weapon, and two more, seemingly normal humans this time, approached.
"Bring the learning aids, let them experience the change for themselves."
While not fully ignored, Inferno Witch had a clear path to DarkSon, and beyond, in the direction of those who had cried for help. Already she could see another large guard there, who was backhanding a smaller figure that tried to push forward.
((Everyone's second actions come in here. Except DarkSon, I kinda did him out of order, but it would seem silly to pause the rambling without properly interrupting it.))
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pool side:
"My loyal soldiers provided cover for my escape. Followed by my hiding on a rooftop for a few hours while things died down." 'Starscream' said, still shaking out his turbines and checking over his gear, making certain it was locking in place. "Their defeat will not go unavenged, and as a reward for their bravery and sacrifice I will restore them to freedom. Except Hooligan. She's a bitch and can rot for all I care. As soon as I can get back for repairs. I should have known these little cyberjet suits were worthless."
He gave Cupid a closer look. "If I let you live kid, when you tell of your glorious encounter with the victorious Air Commander Starscream, feel free to leave out inconsequential details. Like the pool. Okay?" It was hard to tell what his expression was beneath the silvery mask, but his nasally voice sounded very hopeful at least. Enough so that the implied threat was almost, but not quite, lost.
Inferno Witch made a quick run for the area where she heard the cries of help. While making her way, she saw Dark Son trying to take to force the gun out of the man's hand by twisting his wrist. Annie squinted her eyes and as she passed the gun, she reached, grabbing the gun and tugging for it before continuing onto the room where the hostages were being held.
((Even if she fails at getting the gun, she's still going to make her way for the hostages.))
Creeper tripped, and stumbled onto his hands and knees, dropping the re-bar with a clatter. There was no point going back to it, it didn't work the first time.
He feigned left, then right, then swooped into the left, grabbing a glass bottle and throwing it at Television-Guy, in an effort to distract him whilst he intended to land a heavy, gauntlet hand into the man's testicles.
((Awaiting other replies, however the results are as follows: Inferno Witch takes the gun, easily. DarkSon's efforts have weakened the gunmans grip thoroughly. Creeper's Agility, even reduced by the armor, allows him to score a perfect hit with the thrown bottle(probably better than he intended), and while it deals minimal actual damage, the shattered glass in the face is enough to make the Mutate stagger back, off balance and while distracted(unable to take his second move like Trashbin who was knocked down by Bright Knight), also out of range of Creepers punch.))
Creeper stumbled, tripping, rolling and getting to his feet. He shook himself out, looking at the group's.
Bright Knight and Annie had shit covered, and Darkson was holding his own. It was times like these he wish he had invested in a weapon. Maybe something lethal, like a sword or somethings.
The vagrant was trembling as DarkSon bore down on him, inflicting pain while trying to point the weapon away, the glow in the vampires eyes looked positively hellish and the fangs looked ready to crush the man's throat just for being in the way. So when Inferno Witch gave a sharp tug on the gun, it came to her hand easily. She went past them as DarkSon threw the man away, into a pile of cardboard and other debris, snarling something about "not worth my bite."
What she came on was one of the side tunnels, one of which seemed to be grated further on, so as to only provide a relatively small alcove. Within the alcove Inferno Witch could make out at least four people, not counting the mutate who guarded them. He turned, having just backhanded a young man, and locked eyes on Inferno Witch. The young man crawled backwards as the bulky man shape, who seemed to be wearing a street sign as a breast plate, pulled from his coat some kind of... weapon? It looked like a cross between a blown glass hookah and a knife, though the knife part was just that it seemed to have a bayonet mounted on it.
"May this holy symbol turn away those who challenge the Lost..." He intoned threateningly pointing one end at her.
Creeper had cleared a little ground around him, with what looked like three normal people coming at him while the television headed fellow recovered from the bottle to the face.
Beside him Bright Knight had already been dogpiled on by three other normal looking people. With a sweep she sent two of them flying, and the hilt of her sword struck the third in the head. There was a cracking sound as he dropped limp to the floor, and blood from his forehead now covered her swords pommel and gauntlet.
((Order of Inferno Witch, Creeper, Bright Knight, DarkSon, TireIron, StreetSign, TrashBin, TVHead, Homeless Vagrants(five left), Creepers second action for the turn due to high agility, Bright Knights second action for the turn due to high agility, and DarkSon's second action for the turn due to high agility, TireIrons second action for the turn due to high agility, Streetsigns second action for the turn due to high agility, TrashBins second action for the turn due to high agility, TVHeads second action for the turn due to high agility. This assumes that nobody is stunned forcing them to skip one of their actions to recover.))
Inferno Witch glared at the mutate, maybe later she can laugh at the ridiculousness of this mutate. She looked at the metal sign the mutate was wearing, and then glared.
She pointed her finger at the sign and growled an eldritch word before a lightning bolt cam out of her hands and hit the sign on the mutate's chest.
The Bright Knight gasped in horror and stared at the man she'd just hit, torn between returning to the fight and kneeling next to him to see if she could save him. She was no expert healer, but she'd never killed before, and did not wish to change that at the expel se of this man's life.
((Intentionally leaving her open to attack. She's going to be hesitant in combat after this, so I'm taking agility and fighting down by five for the remainder of the fight, unless extreme circumstances make me change them again. Strength will stay the same because she still has trouble with how much force equals how much power, and endurance will stay the same.))
Inferno Witch was starting to feel the strain of casting powerful spells off the top of her head. At first the strain was unnoticeable, a slight weakening only another master spell caster would detect. But this was her third spell of the night, and like a weight lifter in a workout, it was a combination of the 'weight' of the mystical energy she was harnessing, and the repetition of of them.
The lightning bolt struck the mutate with the street sign square in the chest, putting a fair sized dent and scorch mark in the metal sign. Electrical charges arced across his body, sparking off all the metal he wore. He spasmed, his bodily functions lost as nerve impulses to muscles were overridden by the electrical energy coursing wildly through his body. When he finally slowed in his twitching, limbs still giving the occasional shake, his body smoked as the clothing and in fact his skin, had burned.
But he hadn't dropped the 'holy relic' he held. And now, within the blown glass semi-sphere, a fragment of the lightning bolt seemed contained. It danced and jumped, trapped within the glass, turning from the blinding white of pure thunder, to something else. Something an unnatural blue green, that seemed to dance faster and faster, jumping and pulsating within it's container...
"Yyywww kkkk t-t-t-t..." The sign wearing mutate tried to speak through the pain and soreness of the magical lightning that had struck him. He failed in that attempt, but still brought the weapon up and trained it on Inferno Witch...
For the moment Bright Knight had the area around herself clear, though two of the mutates who had been knocked down(one by Bright Knight, one by Inferno Witch) were trying to get back into the fight and would probably close on her first. Creeper had three normal(ish) people attacking him all at once, throwing themselves bodily at him, keeping him from his followup against the third and final mutate on scene(the one with the TV helmet who just had a bottle smashed in his face).
((Inferno Witch doesn't have a second move this turn, so is going to get hit with the plasma bolt if nobody interceeds. All three of her teammates however are able to do so, so the question is if any of them try to, and how.))
Creeper struggled, grappled by several homeless people. An elbow to the face broke the jaw-bone of one, but ferocity gave him better judgement to fight on. He could kill them, but that wouldn't look good on his track record.
Fuck it. They had it coming.
He looked to Annie, as a wooden plank was cracked over his head. It splintered over his skull, and gave Creeper a painful thwack on the head. He grabbed said plank-wielder, and kicked.
Hopefully, the trajectory of his kick would of launched the man into the way of the Mutant's weapon, the lightning bolts. He knew he couldn't help, regardless. If he got hit, with a lightning bolt, it would most likely over-load his suit, maybe even kill him.
Darkson appeared really busy, and Bright Knight was wearing metal. He wasn't sure if that would discharge it, or make it go through her body and kill her.
As much as he wouldn't like to say it to the others, he considered them friends, and would rather a death on his records of a homeless person than the death of two of the closest.
The Bright Knight's head snapped up. A man was laying near Inferno Witch, and seemed to be pointing something at her. Though she could easily see that the man was in no fighting form, she could also see that the thing was. After all, it was glowing.
"Witchcraft."
The word escaped her before she realized that she could just as easily say the same thing about her teammate. She couldn't get used to the idea of magic not being inherently evil, even when it was clearly being used for good. An instant later, she would remember all this, but for the moment, her only thought was destroying the cursed object. Ducking the man Creeper had kicked over her head, she rushed towards the weapon to stomp on it.
Despite Creepers fighting spirit, clearing the three attackers off of him, his attempt to place kick a full grown man across the room fails. Oh, the kick hits, and it sends the man some distance, but unfortunately it falls far short of the intended target. Creepers strength, even augmented by his armor, is not in the realm of superhuman. So the plank wielding homeless man hits the concrete ground, bounces a little, and then lays there, trying to crawl away.
That left Bright Knight, rushing to the not quite down mutate. Inferno Witch looked down the barrel of the plasma gun as it took only a moment to build up it's charge, ready to return her lightning bolt with interest, when suddenly the blur of silvery armor came before her. Inferno Witch heard the discharge, more like a ripping sound than the clap of thunder her lightning had made, as if the air itself was screaming in protest.
As Bright Knight stomped down the blast of plasma was released, into her. Her body went numb as she was lifted upwards, not very far really, just enough that her feet no longer touched the ground. Pain coursed through her before she impacted, her armor absorbing only the kinetic force of the blast, not the muscle burning, nerve triggering energy burst. As she landed her armor smoked, very similarly to how the mutates body did.
Bright Knight landed at the feet of DarkSon and Inferno Witch. The red leathered vampire knelt and touched Bright Knight briefly, though through his gauntlet and her armor there was no way he could be checking her vitals... could he?
"You'll live." Was the diagnosis on Bright Knight. "These people," DarkSon said out of the corner of his mouth, gesturing at the group in the closed off tunnel. "Get them out of here." There looked to be five captives. The young man who had been struck by the mutate guard, an older homeless man, two teenage girls who looked more like runaways than homeless, and another middle aged man that (random Reason test for memory, Inferno Witch and Creeper succeed) used to play a battered guitar at the cities main bus terminal for cash. "I'll find out what's going on once innocents are safe."
He didn't need to bother. They were all about to learn from the head man himself.
"What is the meaning of this?" The voice echoed through the mind more than it did the tunnel as the Rector stepped out from behind a curtain that was strung up over another side tunnel.
He was to the mutates what they were to the homeless people. His body was even larger still, and he wore a ratty blanket as a robe, though it didn't hide his massive twisted musculature or the strange stretched marks across the skin. His bare feet were like cloven hooves, and his hands similarly armored, the fingernails having turned into hooves with only a minor lost in dexterity. He held in one hand a similar, if larger, plasma gun that sparkled, ready to fire.
"You come here, at this holy time, a time of renewal and brotherhood, and bring violence into this, our humble home." The Rectors mouth didn't seem to be moving in tune with his words. "For that you will suffer!"
Several of the Lost, those that weren't laying on the ground or trying to crawl away, seemed to redouble their efforts now. Particularly the recovered mutates, who closed in on the nearest hero, the armored Creeper.
((Bright Knight has taken 20 points of damage, out of her 121. She should also spend her next move getting back up to her again. This is the first damage our heroes(not counting DarkSon, who took 10 points from the gunshot wound) have actually taken. They've taken one mutate and five 'normals' completely out of this fight, and inflicted at least some pain on the rest, so I'm starting to think this scenario was a little too easy, nobody has had to push themselves or anything yet.))
((Order of initative: Inferno Witch, Creeper, the Rector, Bright Knight(kinda limited to getting back on her feet, throwing something, rolling out of the way, etc), DarkSon, TireIron, TrashBin, TVHead, Homeless Vagrants(two left), Creepers second action for the turn due to high agility, the Rectors second action for the turn due to high agility, Bright Knights second action for the turn due to high agility, and DarkSon's second action for the turn due to high agility, TireIrons second action for the turn due to high agility, TrashBins second action for the turn due to high agility, TVHeads second action for the turn due to high agility. This assumes that nobody is stunned forcing them to skip one of their actions to recover. The Holy One that the Rector was meeting with will also have a move somewhere in that mix, revealing himself, but for the moment he's hidden behind the Rector.))
"Bright Knight!" Creeper called, stumbling to his feet after the kick left him open. Someone crawled onto his back, and he had to roll his shoulder to launch him off his shoulder.
He planted a punch into the face of the vagrant, "Annie! Annie, check up on Bright Knight!"
Some part of Creeper had come out. Something very new to him, very out-of-place. Passion.
The passion to get everyone away from Bright Knight.
He did his best to pull away from the vagrants, and crawl towards Bright Knight. Someone pulled on his arm as he stood up, and planted an elbow deep into their face.
There was no way he was actually making proper choices. He was simply just trying to get to Bright Knight. However, his biggest problem now was the mutants, clambering towards him.
He took one, deep breath, and stood to his fullest height, a piece of wood and a rebar in the other hand.
"Bring it on!" He called, giggling, "I'll wear the dick of your skins as a blanket!" However, he saw his current dilema.
