"You're probably wondering why you're here, and who we are. To put it simply, we are a UN-sanctioned global police force, and you're here because you're the best of the best of the best in a field that we require. Investigation, information control, scientific exploration, onsite engineering and fabrication, combat experience, everything else, if you're here we already know what you do and how we can use you."
"You will all be assigned to a continental base here in North America, the exact location currently being beyond your security clearance until you finish the paperwork before you. All of you will be working together as our representitives for this branch of our organization. We will try to provide you with the technology and funding as possible, but given the insular nature of our organization you may not always have the back up you need. The best I can tell you is good luck. You won't be policing any nation in particular, you will be policing the world against extraterrestrial invaders. Find their flying saucers, shoot them down if needed, and protect the life and liberty of every human being on this planet."
"And with that, Welcome to X-Com."

Multiple Characters accepted. Will need multiple players to actually start this. Think of it like X-files, or a more serious take on Men In Black. Or if you've actually played the video game(the original one, not the newer ones, though I've heard the latest isn't horrible).
Player Name:
Character name: (include rank if applicable)
Appearance: (you'll be issued an armored uniform and a more discrete dress suit depending on mission, but height, build, hair color, eye color, everything else...)
Desired crew position: (anything you think would be useful)
General background:
Gun skill (a rough 1 to 10 ranking)
Throwing skill (a rough 1 to 10 ranking)
Strength (a rough 1 to 10 ranking)
Courage (a rough 1 to 10 ranking)
(any other skills you think would be applicable ranked 1 to 10, the list there is for combat field agents)
If we get into a good and proper fire fight, I will be rolling dice. Your character might die. And unfortunately for you, you're going to be doing X-files investigations for the first bit, so you should be good an attached to the character before even the chance of dying comes up. You'll get a warning PMed to you that you're character is going to die within the next couple of posts, so if you want to make it glorious...
