((Since we've had no posts for an extended period, I'm doing a bit of a timeskip. The exact time passed I'm not going to say, but it wasn't long. Maybe "that evening"...))
~~~~~~The Toy Barn.
"So, you've got the story? You were captured by the dreaded demented Doll Breeder, who took your loot, and then let go on the street?" Alan asked as they divided up the loot. Most of it had been piled on the table, and Alan seemed to have a good eye for value.
"Ha! I think I've got this working!" Frisbee squealed in delight as the metal disk she was standing on started to hover into the air, letting her float around the room.
"And, in exchange, you don't tell anyone you have this stuff, and you certainly don't tell anyone about any of us. You... can keep a secret, right?" Alan asked the masked Owlgirl.
~~~~~Police station
Plague had been stripped of his equipment, and pretty much strip searched. His mask had been taken from him, and all his weapons confiscated. Then he was left in a room empty save for a table and the two chairs, and of course the one way mirror.
The police detective came in and frowned at him. "You know where you're going, don't you? Penance Island. You're just dangerous enough to be considered a 'super' criminal... but you don't have any powers, do you? You know what they'd do to you on Penance Island?"
Pinnacle City once extended out onto a few islands in the bay, but on one of them, now known as Penance, a prison had been built. Between everything, the island became a sort of "free range" prison city. The worst of the worst who weren't quite worth sending out of state to the Oubliette prison for demigods who walked among man kind. Penance simply held the murderous psychos and those with minor, or undetectable, powers...
"So, why don't you do yourself a favor. Tell us what happened, and why you felt you had to shoot a deputy of the law."
~~~~~Pinnacle General Hospital
Wickerman had been given a special bed, and his arms strapped down to it as the IV's pumped fresh plasma into him. His berserker state had nearly killed him, but the paramedics had taken him in and bandaged him up. He was actually, all things considered, pretty well off physically.
As was Michael "Later" Queen, the ex-lost boy, strapped down to his own bed and being tended to. Out in the waiting room, Father Enoch and Sister Loretta(who had her face cleaned and bandaged) were being talked to by another police detective. The story of what had happened had been given out in a trickle... the church had been attacked and robbed at gun point, a fight had broken out, and there was something about robots outside?
"Are you sure you can't identify your attackers any better?" The Detective asked. "Was this one of them?" He held a picture of Plague.
Plague never made eye contact, not with anyone or anything. Occasionally, he would look up into his own reflection, be scared and look back down, the occasional wheeze as his respiration unit went hard at work.
It was obvious he was nervous - even for a man like him - his respiration unit pumping away, making any facade of self-power all but obsolete.
He never even looked up into the eye's of the man whom spoke of Penance. He wasn't familiar with the place, but the name hadn't slipped by him completely. In-fact, he was sure the gang he rolled with had more than a few in-mates in there, and he would most likely be recognized. Shit, he might of even have helped put a few men into Penance Island.
"I-It was a mi... mistake," Plague said, coming out wheezy and with a few audible clicks and swallows as he finally looked up, exposing the man to the mechanical apparatus that covered the lower-half of his throat and jaw. "A-All I saw was a man assaulting two g-girls and I... I took the shot."
He nervously attempted to rub the ink from his fingers, from the prior finger printing. He had almost got all the black off from all of his time sitting there, nervously rubbing at them.
Smooth, fluid breathing marked the fact that Wickerman was no longer in a state of pure agony, after the incident with his mask. He just stared upwards, with his bandaged face, unsure of how to feel about the loss of something that was both a blessing and a burden for the man in his endeavor in life.
Charity Ly was a fairly normal teenage girl, but to the being that lived inside her, she was a disgusting excuse for a human being.
The girl thought she could multitask, working on her Chemistry homework, watching the newest episode of her favorite TV show, and and eating her favorite snack of chips and dip simultaneously. Omega knew she couldn't truly multitask.
The girl dipped another cornchip into the dip, and ate it, spiking her calorie count even further. And the stupid girl wondered why she was getting fat. Well part of the reason was Omega was slowing down Charity's metabolism to spite her, but still.
Omega was distracted from her thoughts as Charity squealed and immedietely began texting a friend of hers while saying, "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god" The episode apparently ended on a big twist that had shocked her. Omega could see it coming from a mile away. For being so obsessed with this show, she didn;t seem to pay attention to it.
With the show over, Charity returned to her homework, chewing on the eraser of her pencil, completely stumped. "I don't get it," she said to no one in particular, "When the fuck will I use this in real life?"
If Omega wasn't a disembodied program, she'd have facepalmed. She used chemistry regularly, to keep this idiotic girl alive. It was a fucking Bohr model, Omega could do it on 5% capability. No wonder this girl's grades were so low.
Its no fair Omega thought, Why does she have to be the one in charge... I wish... She concentrated, wondering if she could take charge.
She sighed, and Charity sighed with her.
"What?" Omega thought the word, but Charity said it.
"I did it... I did it!" Omega said. She cringed at it coming out of Charity's squealy voice, but it didn't matter.
She decided she might as well do the stupid girl a favor. She finished the Chemistry homework, her handwriting being a bit sloppy because she wasn't used to using hands.
She stood up and almost fell over. She took small steps around the living room and tried to get used to walking. After getting the hang of it, she decided to leave the house. It was almost curfew time, but her father wasn't even home. James Ly, her father was a police officer, and apparently there was a large crime today and he wouldn't come home anytime soon.
Omega was a bit curious about that. The work of her host body's father, intrigued her, especially the criminals he dealed with. Too bad Charity herself was never curious. But she wasn't in control anymore.
Omega left her home and decided to figure out where the crime scene was.
((OOookay then. Let's see about getting this up and moving again.))
"Church shooting ends in hero injury!" read the newspaper blowing down the street. It was a little torn and ragged. A week had passed. Topman, the 'hero' that had been 'injured' had recovered from his injuries, though was still on light duty and wearing a bandage around his leg. He was already the laughing stock of his corporation, so this wasn't helping him any.
The wind blew the bit of newspaper through the night air. Plague had been arrested by the police, most of them not caring so much about justice as simply putting away a bad guy, no matter the extenuating circumstances or otherwise, so they could say they cleared the case.
So Plague had ended up in Penance City. A small island, similar to Alcatraz off the coast. Technically it was still part of Pinnacle City, but it was isolated, and the prison had gradually grown until it swallowed up the other construction sites on the island, making what had been a somewhat isolated, high class neighborhood into a prison slum city in it's own right. Here Pinnacle City and the surrounding neighborhoods deposited their criminals who they couldn't ship off to the more secure Oubliette. The criminals who either didn't have highly dangerous super powers... or who legally couldn't be proven guilty anywhere but Pinnacle City's corrupted courts. Penance City wasn't exactly the super high security... but it was enough to keep Plague locked up.
The wind blew through the church as Father Enoch made is rounds. Sister Loretta and Micheal, their new choir boy and former Lost Boy, had cleaned up the mess, but they couldn't afford to replace the windows... or the pew, or the altar that had all been broken during the attack. Times were hard, but already a fundraiser to help them was starting to be organized by the local citizens. This attack on their wonderful church and their glorious Father Enoch would be recovered from. Nobody really questioned the story Enoch had given with Micheal being just an innocent bystander in the church with him... just as Wickerman had been.
Wendy and her Lost Boys were still around. They'd fenced off the stuff stolen from the church, and by the end of the weak the meagerness of that take had been showing... they had almost spent it all by now. Some of that simply on medical supplies, as the boys who had taken serious injuries were still weakened and bandaged.
But they weren't without hope. Rumors circulated through the underworld. A cache of Kay Weapons had been stolen. Not uncommon. So many of such supertech had gently filtered it's way onto the black market as KayCorp had tried to remake it's image into a more family friendly corporation. They now advanced technology, selling holography, virtual simulations, and other fancy toys. They even were sponsoring a few of the corporate heroes, along with several other companies. Which meant that these Kay Weapons were highly valuable. The KC heroes had already started looking for it, but rumors said that the heroes didn't know the thieves were keeping themselves mobile. A warehouse recently checked by one of the KC heroes, White Dragon, was now the two thieves hideout for the next several days.
Rumors that Wendy heard from her many admirers in less than reputable positions.
Rumors that would be shared when a little toy clapping monkey on a rooftop found by Owlgirl as she patrolled guided Owlgirl back to the DollBreeder and Frisbee. Owlgirl had gone back to her vigilantism, keeping Doll Breeders secret. The only difference being the little jewel, the darkblue color of the night sky, that she wore. It sometimes pulsed with a vitality only she felt, urging her to gaze up into the stars. Othertimes, she had found that it would meekly accept her mental commands, folding space and letting her step through shadows as if they were doorways.
Rumors that the cybernetic Omega heard, listening while Charity was active... and searching out clues when she was not.
Rumors that, yes, even Wickerman had heard, listening so well as he did to people around him talking and putting the pieces together. ((Intuition/Reason score check, he doesn't have any contacts like the above two mentioned characters)) Divested of his burlap sack he was freed of what influence it had to drive him to madness... but was he greatful to Father Enoch for freeing him, or resentful of his loss?
Of course, those who heard the rumors may not have been particularly inclined, or equipped, towards following them up...
((Per...I see what you did there and I want to hug you for it 8'D))
"We're going after those weapons, Loretta."
Enoch declared to her within the more private confines of their church, the basement area to be precise. Of course, even as he declared this, Loretta was prepared, having been doing research on this rumor and others so that they could find some way to recoup their losses quickly. Another reason was a bit more selfish: she had always wanted to get her hands on a Kay weapon, to tinker with it and take it apart to see what she might reverse-engineer out of such technology. Given what she had seen of their more family-friendly merchandise, it was an experience that promised to be more than fulfilling.
Being a single father, and an important officer on the Pinnacle City police force, Officer James Ly had quite a few things to juggle in his life. But all of these issues worked to Omega's advantage.
It was from Charity's father that Omega first heard of the weapons, she had intercepted a phone call between James and a fellow officer concerning the weapons.
She needed them.
Omega had plans, plans that were impossible to accomplish with the resources of her 15 year old host body.
Another thing Omega benefited from was that James' job was quite demanding, and Charity was often left home alone... which was the perfect time to test controlling the girl. Her ability to control the girl got better and better as time passed, but she still had a problem, sometimes Omega's abilities would overload, and Charity would take over again.
Usually this happened at home, but Omega got sloppy while investigating... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Charity gasped as she awoke. She had blacked out again.
She had no clue what was going on... maybe it was a side effect from the car crash? That had messed her up pretty badly she had been in a coma and put on life support. But why now?
Charity looked around, terrified out of her wits. She wasn't at home. She was outside... at the church. Or at least what remained of the church.
She went to this church every Sunday, her father was quite religious. When he immigrated from Vietnam, he had become a born again Christian, took on a "Christian name" and had become quite involved with the faith. It was such a weird change for Charity when she came to live her... her mother hadn't cared about religion at all... hell half the time she played God.
Charity got up, swaying a bit as she didn't completely have her bearings yet. "Can someone help me?" she called out. "I fainted and I don't know how I got here..."
Enoch was in the process of studying the layout of St. Elissa's, trying to figure out whether to replace the stained-glass windows with entirely new designs and colors when he heard a child's voice calling out. It took only a second to place the voice: little Charity Ly, the daughter of one St. Elissa's frequent worshippers. He walked out of the church, glancing about, then walking over when he spotted her.
"Good afternoon, Miss Ly. What brings you over to our church? Though I'm afraid it's still not quite ready to receive any worshippers."
((Oubliette? ;D))
Michael hadn't attempted to put up a fight.
In fact, the thought had barely crossed his mind when he had regained consciousness almost a week ago. They'd told him he'd been out for a day or so. Wasn't surprising, even though his wounds had healed, there was only so much stress a body could take before it went... out of commission for a few days.
Plus, seeing the big man who had put the bag on his head that night, standing there behind the elderly man... there was no way he'd even want to run or to put up a fight. He may not have been as streetwise as his brother, or as smart as Slightly, but he definitely wasn't as fast as Toodles. Or as strong as Curly. And certainly not as insane as Nibs to put up some sort of a fight against these people.
So he complied. He complied, he wore the clothes they gave him, denounced the nickname Wendy had given him, and all things considered he became a much better 'member of society.' But he told them nothing. In fact- for the past several days, he had only spoken in choppy, disjointed words. Simple ones.
He may not have been as smart as Slightly, but he was certainly smart enough to know one thing: Talking gets you killed, especially if people think you're too smart for your own good. So he let them think he was... damaged. Defective, like some piece of machinery. And in truth his body was. He wasn't strong, and oftentimes had relapses of an undiagnosed illness - it was no wonder of course that he'd fallen so heavily when he'd been hit by Wickerman. But his mind... his mind was another story altogether.
So now he sat on one of the pews, his head bowed and his hands clasped together between his knees. Not speaking, not moving, and, as far as everyone else knew- not listening.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wendy had heard about the toys from a middle-aged, toupee-wearing businessman named Frank. As he'd nervously looked around the room from the seat where he held a small wad of one dollar bills, he had engaged in idle, awkward conversation with the man sitting next to him- unaware that the woman standing over him in pink and green negligee could hear him perfectly well over the grinding bass. As it turned out the man worked at KayCorp, and was apparently in the middle of a nasty divorce as he had an addiction to the very sort of place he was at at that exact moment. He had mentioned - as she slid down to be much more at eye-level with him and his partner, and as he tucked one of the bills into her left breast - that havoc was running amok at the business. He'd mentioned the stolen items when she had turned back around, but had stopped by the time she slipped back down, nibbled at his necktie and into the waistband of her panties was slipped the remaining wad of cash.
After all, a girl and her five 'kids' have got to eat.
So when she had gone home that night with the news, Slightly began delegating ideas to her. Of course, the resounding silence among them all stated pretty quickly that none of them were quite up for the challenge as of yet. It would still take time for them to heal.
However, all hope was not lost. After all, they were all still out and about looking for strapping young men to join in their crusade...

Slightly was laying out the plan, a quick download of public records had the warehouse schematics and the neighborhood. The question was where they would hide the goods, or how to get at them...
"Hey." Curly said, coming in with a large bag of hamburgers, frenchfries, and other cheap foodstuffs. "Like you to meet the newkid. Found him trying to scrounge lunch out of the dumpster, and figured that he could join up. If only to get regular meals."
The boy was wearing ill fitting and stained clothing, looking like nothing more than a homeless runaway who's been on the street for awhile. But he was young, not yet growing a beard and his longish hair tangled and matted from sleeping outside in the city, and his build beneath the torn dirty clothing was... amazing. He was neither big nor small, but he was toned as though through regular professional workouts. Keeping that kind of body took a lot of work... or superhuman abilities.
"We... are recruiting, right?" Curly asked, as though he just now realized he'd overstepped his authority and quickly deferring to those wiser.

He was listening, as he always was. He was a smart and intellectual man, polite and considerate, carefully putting all the pieces of the puzzle together as he very methodically and very carefully put together the story, from the rumors and the passing news.
But for now, he was content to rehabilitate himself and carefully organize his life after Memetic was destroyed. It had been a giant burden off of his shoulders, but... there was always that constant feeling in the back of his head, the residual feeling of the hood around his head. He missed it, he did.
But there was no point dwelling on it. He saw what the Father had did, to both the hood and himself that day.
He was gently holding a paving tool in his massive hands, having to hold it with three fingers as he gently went over a large section of the wall, using his massive frame to get the job done. He was close, listening to the group, but was fixed on the wall.
He was wearing an extra-large hoodie, loose pants and flip-flops. He had no fashion sense, but it was the only clothing that fit him that wasn't covered in blood and gore, or torn from his berserk state. He tilted his head back to look at the new girl, gently walking past and around her with his tools as he went about detailing the area, attempting to atone in the eyes of God all the damage he did to the area.
Plague was crouched on the top of some four-story something building, his hand gently resting on his rifle. It was the only thing that had kept him alive in the city, among Men whom were considered powerful even among their own kind. He sighed, going over the events that got him here.
He was just trying to help, he really was. He didn't even put up a fight when they came to arrest him.
He wondered what that girl was doing, the one whom he had seen at the Church. He sighed, resting a hand under his chin, feeling his respirator pump away. He wondered if that girl was even alive, or if she had any idea of what had happened to him.

Meanwhile Omega was beginning to get her bearings, inside Charity's head, but remained quiet. It would probably be for the best not to attempt regaining control until later.

"All come into the teachings and embrace of God in their own time...Besides, to denounce everyone who does not agree with my beliefs as heathens left and right is a surefire way to turn them off of the idea." He replied as he found the phone, looking through the address book until he found the police station's number and dialing it in.

Charity snorted, " I doubt Mom will ever find the embrace of God in her own time... with her work she plays God half the time..."
How dare you insult Mother Omega thought. While Charity had a grudge toward her mother who had often put her life in danger for science, Omega had nothing but respect for her creator... maybe possibly even love. If Omega loved anyone it was Dr. Ly.

"All find God's embrace in due time, even sinners. In fact, it is on the Day of Judgement they will be rescued from Hell and taken up to Heaven." Enoch replied as he waited for someone to pick up. "Ah hello? Is Officer Ly available? I just need a moment of his time."

My dear readers,
Greetings from the front! After an arduous, week-long journey from the west, I have breached the walls of this faux-Babylon and carved unto the belly of the beast, like the biblical account of Jonah and the Whale (at least if Jonah wasn't such a long-haired ninny and did some actual carving, rather than all that prayer).
I do apologize for the scarcity of my status reports, dear readers. I must make do with what I have, as always, and I must keep my tracks thoroughly covered - the risk of these updates falling into Enemy hands are very great.
I'll tell you one thing, though: this 'city' is the closest thing anyplace could ever get to a modern adaptation of Sodom and Gomorrah, even by the ultrafascist Orwellian/Huxleyan (Huxlian? Huxlean?? Huxleyite???) puppet state standards of the American Imperium. We need more Ted Kacynski's. One for every block on every streetcorner of this open cesspool.
It's like I've said before, dear readers: the Industrial Devolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. We need to wipe the slate clean. We need to even the playing field, not just for us, but for Mother Nature. We need to CHOPPPPPPPPPP--
Manly Dan's rage against the general machine was interrupted by a tentative, fidgety tap on his broad shoulder, causing his thick fingers to slip over the dainty keys of the pristine white laptop atop his table. The twenty-something barista with the brownish-blondish hair and braces had brought him his coffee - black as tar, but nonetheless served in a fancily-designed cup - and shuffled back behind the counter without so much as a word. Not after the speechifying he conjured up about the little, out-of-the-way coffee shop she worked at part-time being just another facet of the infinite evil of hypercapitalism. No matter. The words stuck with her, and most of the disturbed customers all the same.
Grumbling to himself as he tried to find his place again, one hand tapping at the side of his keyboard while the other held his cup of coffee, Manly Dan looked over his lengthy composition and nodded in self-approval, being sure to post it to his blog (chopitalldown.tumblr.com) and stroked his beard as he chuckled low and heartily, ready for the long night of work he'd be doing around town . . .

The call was quickly transferred to Mr. Ly, "Who is it?" he asked, a bit more annoyed then he meant to be. He was very busy after all.
Meanwhile inside Charity, Omega was looking around the church. Religion was such a stupid thing to her, simply humanity trying to convince themselves that there was still life after death, that they just wouldn't stop functioning after death. It was all just illogical to Omega.

For those in the church:
Intuition check: Below 20 notices nothing unless they are outside. At 20 they feel something is 'off' but can't tell what. At 30 they've noticed that the usual traffic and noises from outside have shifted expectantly.
Reason check: If above 30 and they noticed something was 'off' they can make a successful guess that there is a flashy superhero showing off somewhere nearby. Probably approaching the church.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (For anyone OUTSIDE the church, but still on that street:)
Mr. and Mrs. Storm carried the load of lumber and repair supplies over their heads as they flew lower, slowing their approach to match that of various cars. Their bright white capes, trimmed in silver, billowed behind them, and their skin tight spandex uniforms barely contained either of their very impressive physiques. Primarily blue, with gold belts and trim on their sleeves and ankles. Each of them had a bulky piece of technology attached to their ankle just above the charcoal grey boots. Neither wore a mask or gloves and both had long hair though Mrs. Storms was longer and fuller, also platinum blonde while Mr. Storm had dark hair. In short they both looked every bit the picture of a champion of justice and a super hero.
Except for their faces, with a weary and hopeless expression one would expect to see on a prisoner. "Two more weeks..." Mrs. Storm whispered to her husband, about to break out into sobbing. "I don't... I can't do this any more..."
"It'll be alright. I'm here. We... we'll still have each other. We can make it through this." He reached out with one arm, the other holding the mass of construction materials above their heads and gave his wife a reassuring squeeze. "Not in front of the civilians... please..." His own tone just as tortured as hers.
As they came within viewing angle of the windows of the church they choked back the potential tears and pasted ill fitting expressions on their faces that were intended to be smiles.
"Don't worry citizens!" Mr. Storm declared. "I'm Lightning..."
"And I'm Thunder. We're here to help." Mrs. Storm chimed in right on time.
"So have no fear of the Storm!" Mr. Storm finished. Their forced smiles slipped just a moment to wince at their own dialogue that had become so pat and well timed as to seem mechanical and meaningless to their own ears.
Enoch frowned as he caught snatches of the rather cheesy dialogue and motioned to Charity. "Hold that thought. If you still want to work, you could go to Sister Loretta: she's working near the makeshift altar we've set up." Smoothing over the creases in his habit, Enoch walked out of the church, where he was soon confronted with the superheroes. "May I help you?" To all appearances, he was calm though inwardly he was feeling just a touch paranoid at seeing the superheroes. Comes with being a supervillain.
((Reason check: Wickerman's 50 in reason means he knows the heroic duo's nature and backstory. He'd recall it from a newspaper two years ago, in a tiny article on the fifth page that only ran in two different newspapers. It is 'public knowledge' but not the kind of thing even a well informed person would be able to recall instantly. So I'm not actually going to write it out unless I'm asked to. Suffice to say Wickerman would know they're not a threat, even to villains, but do have impressive powers.))
"Father..." Mr. Storm seemed to take a moment to remember. "Enoch. Not at all. We're here to help you. We heard of your misfortune, and we're here to volunteer our help. A good dead done is all we're here for." His brave face cracked a moment before he reasserted his control and retained the public image smile.
His wife had taken the entire construction supplies by herself and carried them out of the way. Setting them down she started to take out some ready made wood patterns. They were going to make new pews, and possibly other repairs as well.
"Father wait? Is something wrong?" Charity asked. Inside Charity, Omega sensed the disturbances outside caused by the superheros and as mentally swearing as Charity stepped outside. Then again it'd be nice to observe what sort of opposition she'd face when she began her villianry.
Charity stepped outside and asked again, "Something up Father Enoch"
Slightly was laying out the plan, a quick download of public records had the warehouse schematics and the neighborhood. The question was where they would hide the goods, or how to get at them... "Hey." Curly said, coming in with a large bag of hamburgers, frenchfries, and other cheap foodstuffs. "Like you to meet the newkid. Found him trying to scrounge lunch out of the dumpster, and figured that he could join up. If only to get regular meals." The boy was wearing ill fitting and stained clothing, looking like nothing more than a homeless runaway who's been on the street for awhile. But he was young, not yet growing a beard and his longish hair tangled and matted from sleeping outside in the city, and his build beneath the torn dirty clothing was... amazing. He was neither big nor small, but he was toned as though through regular professional workouts. Keeping that kind of body took a lot of work... or superhuman abilities. "We... are recruiting, right?" Curly asked, as though he just now realized he'd overstepped his authority and quickly deferring to those wiser. Slightly looked over to the two from the desk he stood at. Nibs sat next to him, looking over the papers and maps with him, while Sooner sat huddled in the corner, blankly staring at the ground. He was quiet now, always quiet, always... absent. Toodles was out. He was always out, lately; searching. Searching for a way to get back Later. He'd taken that much on himself, and Wendy, and the others, let him. He felt it was his fault Later hadn't come back, so he might as well make it his duty to right it all. Slightly bit his lip, raising his hand to stroke his jaw. He looked over the boy, his clothes, his hair, his body. A tinge of jealousy rose up somewhere below, and with a sharp spasm he crushed it back down. Wendy would like him, yes. But she was his now, had given herself to him much more than she'd given herself to the others. He wasn't sure if he could handle her 'giving herself' to yet another boy. "It doesn't matter anyway, Curly." He said eventually, with a cold, indifferent shrug. "What's your name, kid?"
"Name?" The boy blinked confused. "What's my name?"
He looked around at them as if he thought he could get help with this apparently confusing question. "Uh..." He stumbled and tried to buy himself time, thinking."
"Ek." He finally said, giving it a Hindi pronouncement, despite the fact that he didn't look Indian at all. "Panch Ek..." He trailed off without adding 'I think' to it, but it was somewhat implied.
