This one was kinda tricky fitting everything in it. Next time everyone does a "conference call" I might just have them all lined up on a black screen, but for this I really wanted to show the map, since something important is happening on it. I rather wanted to include the thought clouds of Meka wanting a princess, and Avion wanting to kiss Firefly, but there wasn't really enough room. The NPCs had a bit more to say as well, with Toby asking "which lake" Meka is referring to("There are two lakes in southern Hyrule alone..."). Doesn't help that you're not at a lake. Anyway, the important part. The "ping". One of the little red "!" moved west, off the area the magic map is currently displaying. Now... what exactly that means, I leave up to you guys to decide. Yeah, my bad there with Meka getting your line. Blame it on the layout issues. I really need to adjust speech balloons better. At the moment I draw them all 'by hand'(well, I use the circle tool and text tool, and copy paste the emote, but other than that...)

I was getting tired of the scale being 1x1, I needed a close up SOMEWHERE in this strip... I was also wondering how Meka could gesture at the landscape when they were on pause screen, though I suppose he can quickly unpause to gesture and back again, without anyone missing anything. Hence we see more of the dock they made portage at. Also, I'm going to be working with the map, it might be hard to read... It might have been fun if Avion had given Meka back his sword with the line still attached, and the first monster he faces he casts a fishing line at... since I didn't get to use THAT joke, enjoy the visual gag of Meka hugging his sword. Anyway, Avion's line is a great punchline to end a strip on. So I had to zoom in on it. Avion's not really putting her hand on Firefly's shoulder seductively reassuringly, it's just a bit of an imagine spot implying it was all in her tone. Attachments:

With a long suffering sigh, I access the pause screen and clear my throat loudly, getting the attention of the other adventurers. "You guys are all idiots. It's enough to drive a soul to drink and there's no alcohol around!" With a huff, I take my leave of the pause screen and resume my own part of the adventure.

I'll be getting to Nocturne's adventures in a moment. First, we have Toby somehow(he's Toby, don't ask) slip Firefly and Rayjack out of the cage. Into a tree. While in motion. With guards watching. And nobody notices. He's just that good. Attachments:

Alrighty Nocturne, which way are you going? Oh, and Toby's reasons also included that this is probably the first tree that was near enough the carriage he could pull you all in without anyone noticing, plus Kaliva and Barusa needed to set up an ambush to distract the convoy, since they will notice eventually and come back for you, and Rayjack is still injured and can't fight. There was also what I thought of as a funny comic with the Wizrobe and Darknut coming to the bridge and getting stopped by the river Zora. "Stand aside fishface! You can not bar our path! This carriage is to be taken to Lord Ganon himself!" The Wizrobe frowns, turns back to the cage and blasts Toby who was doing all the talking and nearly getting them into a fight. The Darknut steps forward, apologizes to the Zora, and pays the bridge toll, while Toby, blackened by the blast declares "Worth it!" Unfortunately, that scene had no player characters involved. Initially the Octorok was red, but it blended too well against the background, so I upgraded it to blue for that comic. And I'm actually proud of my moblins, despite the fact that they're very hard to pose(all their 'parts' came from the Darkwing Duck game by Capcom... Capcom also did the Oracle series of Zelda). Particularly that I could get the two different color variants plus a third(who wear boots) for those who have officially joined Ganons forces. And if you're a fan of Legend of Neil, you know that Moblins are... NOT something you want to be around. Attachments:
