Nexura is a land between worlds that has been untouched by sentient life for over two millennium, it's former inhabitants, the Ancient Ones, disappeared, for whatever reason, nobody knows, there was no one left who could remember, there wasn't anyone left to even put together the pieces. For whatever reason, Nexura has remained untouched by the hands of any sentient race...until now. In different planes of existence, portals have been opening up that lead in and out of this untouched world. Different factions from different worlds are gathering and going through these portals, with holes of colonizing this new world. They're going to be met with a surprise once they realize that they're not the only ones who have had this in mind. A war is brewing between worlds, and Nexura is the battlefield.-Only Original Worlds, you cannot use any material that doesn't belong to yourself. -They must be fantasy in some sense, whether it's High fantasy, or Urban fantasy. -Your portal will lead to whatever place on the map you desire, if need be, take the map and put a red dot where your starting portal is.

The Silver Mountains northwestern side, above the Green basin and to the west of Moonviel has an ancient claim staked on it's rugged mountainsides. While this claim is not as old as the Ancient Ones, it is far older than any other than any other sentient species... because the claim was not made by a sentient species.
The portals opened a time or two prior, unseen and unnoticed, yet seeds of the Great Trees managed to drift through. And so they took root in the mountainous area, spreading a silver green life along these ridges in the mountain range. Preparing the way for what has happened now.
The portals have been opening, and a great drive to explore, to conquor, this new realm has made itself felt. The varied races of the tungy, from within the rose bush nebula, have come through. Small towns have been established within the great boughs and roots of the massive trees. These settlements consist of a many and varied number of races and specialized castes, though all from the same place, and all the intelligent ones of the same species(animals have been brought through, and native animals may have been altered to be of more use).
They are not, strictly speaking, a threat to the surrounding areas. At least, not an immediate one. The civilization intends to expand no faster than the treeline, and while very protective of these trees, cultivating their continued growth and expansion as well as dissuading outside threats, the people are for the most part quite civilized. That does not, however, preclude the young and brash adventurer from attempting to explore this strange world of Nexura by leaving the forest and setting out under the unnaturally colored(compared to their homeworld) sky...

Actually, the start of the RP is the different factions entering the portal for the first time. These portals have not appeared in these worlds ever before. Otherwise people would be able to immediately snipe people as they come out of the portals. The whole world hasn't been touched by sentient life for thousands of years.

Not quite sure how to do this, but Ima' take a stab at it in a narrative style.
Bastion.
A shining beacon of light in a world untouched by natural sunlight for over three centuries, in a world where you live to the average age of thirty, and that's only if you survive the Penal Legions.
A complex array of interlocking skyscrapers, shopping malls, and lower tier buildings, they've faced war that was locked away millenia ago by their Great Ancestors, only to be re-opened, by their naieve children, in their quest for immortality and ascension.
And yet, as their mistake was made, three centuries ago, and millenia before, Demons were unleashed. Some were renegades, inflicted with morality. They hunt their own kind.
Now, those they attempted to surpass, God's Children, The Angels, attempt to bring salvation to man, through their only known means...
In the center of the Green Basin, is a rift. It is a small, intangible little gem in the center of a big world. And yet, on the other side, is their only salvation.
The rift is growing larger, as the first remnants of man-kind pour through. They are sick, deranged men, rapists and murderers, whom take joy in the scarification of beautiful young women, whom wear the skin of their enemies...
... and also conscripts. Men whom were forced to serve in active duty. They're a mixed bunch, and only a few ever survive their ten years of mandatory services.
But they're here, in a better place...
... atleast they assume It's a better place.
So, yeah. I guess that's the story?
Essentially, It's a Gothic-Urban civilization of our world, where Demons were let free in Man's quest to defeat the one thing that they feared, and essentially, in an effort to restore the balance, God's Children, The Angels, attempt to re-align Mankind's place as the Apex Predator.
I guess if we're taking a civilization, but commanding only one or two characters to play the roleplay aspect...
I AM SO CONFUSED. D:
I would liek halp, plz.
The characters I'd prefer to use will be Penal Legion associates.

It's okay. lol, This is the OOC topic. Basically the map in the spoilers, just take it into paint and put a red dot where your rift/portal will open up to. You did well in explaining your faction/people.

The whole world hasn't been touched by sentient life for thousands of years. So... no trees then. I just wanted there to be trees growing on Nexura when the portal opened and the tungy of rosebush nebula come through. Think "Forest elves" or "space elves" and you'll probably have them nailed down. Inspiration drawn from ElfQuest, Tenchi Muyo, and some other RPs I've worked up. Had the idea that the trees preceeded them, making the area ready for use on arrival, and there may be some overgrown Ancient Ones ruins within the forest(Legend of Zelda inspired, I usually like their forest themed dungeons). The trees being native to other worlds, their seeds and such having arrived and gotten a good starting well before people showed up. Or at least similar enough to the native plants of other worlds that they can be of use to the newly arriving peoples who specialize in that sort of nature-y stuff. And I may have had tenses wrong, if the RP starts right as the portals open. Settlements will be created in the boughs and roots, etc. instead of have. My bad there, but I was working with what best I could get from the single paragraph opening. For the war to be brewing the sides must have already know of one another. But since you don't want this world to have trees, or probably any plantlife... I'll have to come up with something else.

On another note, is there some character sheets or something we need for the characters we're using for our civilizations?

Not really. This RP is bound to have loads and loads of characters on all sides, and it would be tedious to make profiles for them all.
However, I will ask that the name of the faction and a short summary of it be put up. For instance:
The Order of the Tower The Order of the Tower was originally the name for a gathering of mages that all would converge at the Tower at the North Pole known as the North Tower, every five years to discuss new laws and different magical findings. After the Kristocians invaded Fumbul, it became a safe refuge for the mages who were content with sitting and watching as the witch hunts and the outlawing of the Worship of the Fumbulian Gods went on down south.
Eventually, the old master of the tower and leader of the mages died, giving the tower and the Order to his young apprentice, Atticus Fallows, a very intelligent and gifted mage, who immediately started a change within the The Order, instead of simply waiting out in their Tower, ignoring the other Spellcasters and magical creatures, they instead started to secretly keep balance in Fumbul that had become chaos with no Sages or Mages to protect humanity from the Fae or other magical monsters, as well as bringing other magic users such as the Sages to the North Tower.
Rumor has it that the Order plans on supporting the Resistance movement against the Kristocian Empire, though no confirmation has come of this, yet.
Atticus Fallows- The current leader of the Order of the Tower, after inheriting the leadership of the order and the ownership of the tower from his master, being the favored heir, Atticus started major changes within the Order that have cause a lot of controversy as of late. He's the most talented mage of his generation, learning at twice the rate of an average mage.
Gale Walker- The second in command of the Order, Gale is actually not a Mage, but is a Sage, or a Druid, native to the cold lands of Fumbul before the Mages immigrated to these northern lands to escape the Witch hunts in the south. A former slave and serf of the Tower, Gale had befriended Atticus when he was thirteen and when Atticus took over, he released Gale from his slavery and gave him the position as second in command, despite the fact that Gale didn't exactly want it.
Those are the two main ones right now. I'll probably post summaries of other characters as I go along.

AquariusOn present day Earth, Aquarius has been in business for the past fifty years. Known to the public as an international corporation that specializes in marine biology, its true intentions remain secret; Except to those in the know. For those that are a part of Aquarius or are in the know, it is known as the biggest human faction at war against the Icari: The universal name for supernatural beings. They are extremely prejudiced against anything and anyone supernatural, no matter how harmless or ruthless they may be. Aquarius is divided into three separate forces. At the front is Aquarius' military, where soldiers and hunters are trained to fight, catch and hunt down supernatural beings. Many captured Icari are enslaved and brainwashed or bribed into hunting down and killing their own kind. Behind them is Aquarius' investigation bureau, where detectives, trackers and spies work to find, expose supernaturals, regardless of their alignment or creed. Outed supernaturals are then caught and imprisoned by Aquarius' military forces at its many prisons and facilities. Finally, the third section is Aquarius' research department. Many scientists are employed by the company and are tasked with studying caught supernaturals, ways to fight and kill supernaturals, designing technology used by or against them, etc. Currently, the CEO of Aquarius is Therese McClain, a fierce, self-sufficient, all-business woman who can stand with the best of them; A sharp, silver-tongued blonde with a fist of iron. Working as her assistant is Carson Barry who, for all intents and purposes, is nowhere near as tough as his boss, but isn't as weak as his somewhat scatter-brained demeanor may imply. In the Research Department's Division B is head scientist Karl Hammond. An interesting fellow, Karl is one of Aquarius' kookiest characters and while easy to get along with is one of the hardest to figure out. His motives and thoughts always seem to be hidden or disguised by his words or actions and it's hard to tell whether he's lying or hiding anything. Although it's easy to see that Karl lacks a great deal of morality, picking and choosing his allies and ideals based on current moods and whims. His assistant is Wyatt Hayes, who is a much more quiet and morally-balanced man, having to keep a constant watch on his boss. Unfortunately, he is bound by duty to follow Karl wherever he goes, regardless of his personal views or qualms against the crazy man's ideas.

The Brotherhood of Black Arts
Hailing from the wintery land of Matria, the Brotherhood of Black Arts is an organization of mages that were for years oppressed and discriminated against by their non-magical bretheren. In the past, magic was a staple used in keeping the frosty, otherwise near impossible to inhabit lands at bay. After an uprising knocked the mages of Matria from their seat of power, and the non-mages took hold of the government, all magical beings were driven from the land on threat of death, and their kind nearly died out.
The Brotherhood was formed as an organization to topple the regime the non-mages had created in hopes of reclaiming their kingdom, but as non-magical influence gained on them, the land began to lose its magic, which in turn made it more and more difficult for magic to be done, and caused the land to become impossible to stay in if they wished to keep their powers and their lives.
The Brotherhood was thus forced to move away from the frozen lands of Matria. Through much trial and error, they managed to find a portal to the untouched land of Nexura, with an untapped reservoir of magic ready for the taking. At the front of their organization is Horatio Vartle III or Ratio as he is more commonly called. Though boastful and sometimes rather rude, Ratio is a strong leader and even stronger mage. He claims himself the greatest mage to ever live, and while this is not strictly true, he is quite a powerful mage on his own, and even more powerful when backed by his men. His second in command, Seven Serrina is a bright but very prideful. An adept healer, he is matched in his pride only by Ratio, who is a paragon of egotism himself. He is also skilled as a warlock and as such has the ability to brew many different types of potions to aid him in battle.
At the inner circle of the Brotherhood's arsenal lies Averis Stonefeild- a powerful necromancer who while young, is quite powerful in her magic and is always happy to add another corpse to her 'collection'- Clefina Serrina An enchantress whose magic works to ensnare the senses and encapsulate the soul, and Rachen Hollenzoller a charm crafter and warlock who, while not incredibly bright, has an advantage in possessing a good amount of brute strength and uses his magic charms to back up his bulk. Ratio's apprentice, Wyatt Tellerman is also a budding asset who while still rather new to magic, is loyal to the brotherhood and seems to be able to come through in a pinch.
Together the Brotherhood has set itself up nestled at the base of Ashmouth Mountain, it's goal, to gain influence over as much of Nexura as it can muster, and dominate the land as it had once dominated Matria.

Pichu, can I axe you a question?
If your world, from HWYCA, is meeting the world from like Elliot etc, would they still know each other or... are they gonna' fight and kiss and make-out or what?
It'll be hot.
Also, on another note, Ima' follow the trend like a good little hipster and mark down my characters. 'Cause, you know, it was a good idea. Thank you, Rei. <3.
The forces of Bastion go as such, although I may use other minor characters.
Grave Digger; a fourteen year old hardcunt from the Sundered land. Born hunting one of the Oceans' toughest Demons, he grew from merit and a hard-life to become one of Avenger Company's hardest soldiers, and their leader. He is originally from the remnants of Australia, and is considered a rather funny guy.
Phryx Albertyne; a German, mut-breed, mass murderer and rapist. He is Avenger Company's penal discipline, as he has been for the past 30 years. He keeps rank, and does so to count for penance. He is doing 70-80 years of active service on the frontlines for killing Eastern Fringes Civilians, about twenty-seven to twenty-eight of them. He has raped dozens of women, and is considered a vile, foul man. He is notable for the fact he carries a drum made out of human skin.
Matthew 'Matti' Costiro; coming from the first lineage of Angels that shut away the Demons at the Battle of The Aegis, he has fought alongside man for as long as he can remember, since he was born. He is a smart, kindly man, with a funny sense of humour. He is under political strife for being 'too nice with the enemy', however is a proficient demon hunter and will never back down from a fight. Is a good healer.

So yes many epic fights and/or make outs will commence. Hot Clefina on Matti action? I think yes. X3

*Jumps in at the last minute*
Ellair
Ellair is ruled by the will of the Ultimate Force, interpreted by a religious order known as the Guardians. The Guardians have five levels: Sensor, Listener, Learner, Keeper, and Speaker. Only the most devoted reach the top levels of this order.
On joining the Guardians, one gives up one's family, friends, and name. Instead they go by their level and a number. Speaker One is the highest authority in Ellair, besides the Ultimate Force itself. A Guardian has to be ranked at least fifth in their level (the top five are that level's Counsel) in order to move on to the next one.
The Guardians hear the will of the Ultimate Force through the whisperings of the Soulstone, a large, rectangular block at resides in a large hollow in the middle of Ellair. The hollow is carpeted in soft, luminescent moss. It is one of the brightest places in Ellair, whose constant, thick cloud layer keeps most sunlight out. Only Keepers and Speakers are allowed to enter this hollow (except on the Festival of Souls), and only the Counsel of Speakers are allowed to actually touch the Soulstone. Each year, on the Festival of Souls (the first day of the new year), the old Soulstone is smashed, thus releasing the souls it's been holding in purgatory. A new one is then provided by sacrificing a Stonecreature, placing it a fire until its distinguishing features - namely appendages - are burn, and it is nothing more than a rectangular rock. Any imperfections on the newly sacrificed Soulstone are omens of a bad year to come.
In addition to the Soulstone, each person in Ellair has their own Lifestone. This is a piece of the first Soulstone that was smashed after their birth. The Ultimate Force flows through the Soulstone and into the Lifestones, and those whose Lifestones resonate more clearly become Guardians.
However, some people are beginning to wonder if this is not the right way to rule the world, after all. As the Stonecreatures gain sapience (which they're doing at an almost alarming rate), they argue, it becomes less moral to sacrifice them. They also wonder if the Soulstone shouldn't be ore open to the public. The more radical ones whisper (to themselves, of course) that worship of the Guardians and the Ultimate Force should be overthrown altogether. Most seek a more moderate option, but the Guardians still see them as a potential threat.
Important characters:
Speaker One is the leader of the Guardians. He is an old man, though no one knows quite how old. He has the most direct contact with the Soulstone and has more power than anyone in the world.
Keeper Five is one of the most devoted Guardians in the order. She has been a Keeper for several years, and made quite a few trips to the Soulstone. Probably somewhere in her thirties, she was only recently promoted to her level's Counsel, and it's expected that she'll be examined for Speakership soon.
Keeper Eight is the most recent addition to the Keepers, aged in his mid to late twenties. It was on his first trip to the Soulstone where he and Speaker Four (a woman a bit past middle age) discovered the portal to Nexura, which is right in the middle of the hollow, almost on top of the Soulstone.
Sensor Thirty-One is the newest initiate to the Guardians. Though she is only eight years old (most join between ten and twelve), her Lifestone resonates strongly.
Queen Tyra is a figurehead, and everyone knows it. Legend says that long ago, Ellair was ruled by more secular royalty, but now the queen defers to the Guardians, acting pretty much like the modern British royalty. Some rebels are considering using her as a rallying point, hoping to overthrow the guardians and place the royal family back in power.
Only the Counsels of Keepers and Speakers know about the portal as of now (well, and Keeper Eight, but he's been sworn to secrecy). Speaker One plans to use it against those who speak of reform or rebellion. Clearly, this is evidence that they are the chosen people of the Ultimate Force. He suspects that the Ultimate Force lives in this land - into which only Speaker Four has ventured, and that only a few feet - and the opeing of the portal is a sign that Ellair has fulfilled its will and is now being invited into heaven. Or at least, the Guardians are being invited there.
The Portal opens up into a small cave under the Silver Mountains, connected to a short tunnel that leads out to the Moonveil Valley.
This is kind of a WIP. I'll probably use more (read: non-Guardian) characters later. But this post is pretty long already, and I think that this is more than anyone really needs to know for now.
@pichu: Clefina on Matti? You're being far too close-minded. I'm thinking Seven/Elliot. XD
