OHHHHHHHHH MY GOD THIS IS THE GREATEST THREAD I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!
Talk about Doug Walker, who is well known for the following parts:
- Nostalgia Critic - Reviews pre - 2000 films (usually kiddie films)
- Chester A. Bum - A bum who gives a brief lowdown on the film
- That Guy With The Glasses - Answers questions asked by fans
Among other, humorous parts
What was your favorite episodes of his shows? His least? What did you think about the latest episodes? What do you think he should tackle in the nearby future (note that he does have a schedule)? And many other great concersation starters.
I'm Phoenix and I moderate it so you don't have to!

I have been playing catch-up with older episodes, and I just have to say that anyone who thinks NC solely relies on shouting for comedy needs to see the Good Son review. He lost his voice, but it had me in stitches.

Watch the commentary by Spooney. Spooney said that the NC did the whole script AND got the characterization of Linkara and Spooney dead-on

I haven't seen the commentary, but I have seen the episode. Heck, I might watch it a second time since I was kind of distracted by homework and such the first time.

I agree, he did a pretty good job in the Good Son review. First time I saw the review was a bit of it- his reaction to the Home Alone boy saying, "Don't fuck with me". I thought he was silent only for that scene but later discovered about his sore voice.
I always kept up with NC and the Bum reviews, don't really follow up with AskThatGuy- not that I don't like this persona (I still find his twisted humor funny) but I am more into the former. I also thought his 'rivalry' (funny how some people think it is real) with the Angry Video Game Nerd was also fun. Enjoyed his Bebe's Kids for the SNES review. His expression each time he wanted to destroy the game was awesome. Hope James and Doug can collaborate again.
I found him out while searching for reviews on the Super Mario Bros movie review and was wondering why that film was the worst of all VG movie adaptations. Great review, but didn't really check his videos until I heard about the rivalry with AVGN and that's how I started to explore his site and the entertaining users there.

I still say his Captain Planet review is the best he's ever done. Probably that has to do with the fact that it's the first one I'd ever seen, but still.

One of my personal favorites would be his Battlefield Earth episode; not only was it a hilariously bad movie, it introduced the Spoony version of Terl.
Seriously, how the hell did Spoony out-ham John Travolta?

My top favorite episodes of the NC would have to be AOSTH, Titanic the animated musical, Moonwalker, and Batman and Robin. And even though it wasn't a review, The Tommy Wiseau Show had me in stitches. I love all of his reviews and I follow the NC every week.
My first NC that I saw was his review of the Super Mario Brothers movie. I actually began watching Doug's movies in 5 seconds before I knew who he was. When his videos went down and he got a new site, I found the NC. I loved his "rivalry" with James, as I watch both of their reviews.

Poor guy, I'm gonna enjoy his misery I'm really looking forward to his review of the Secret of NIMH 2. I remember seeing that movie on TV with my best friend when I was nine, and we were making fun of it so much. ;D That'll bring back some memories.

Considering how much he likes the original Secret of NIMH, if the sequel is bad, it ought to be fun to see him tear it a new one.

Seriously, how the hell did Spoony out-ham John Travolta? That was Spoony? I knew that voice sounded familiar- it was Doctor Insano! Did anyone else see his recent video on nostalgic commercials? I nearly died laughing at the whole "wet banana" bit. I watched it late last night and had tears from trying to hold back my laughter. "Is that mom on Wet Banana?" Seriously, out of all the things to name that product... Heck, I'm going to change my user phrase thing just because I'm bored. Anyway, my favorites are (in no particular order) Alone in the Dark, Tom and Jerry Movie, Animated Titanic Musical, Cool as Ice, Good Son, and the Carebears Movie (which also had a funny commentary episode). The commercials one is up there, though.

Not to mention that the hardcore kid, one of the amateur reviewers on the TGWTG forums, already reviewed it.
It IS pretty bad.

I love Doug Walkers reviews. Mainly watch NC videos. But I love his "50 impressions in 50 seconds" sketch video. Makes me laugh every time XD. I also love his "How I Quit My Job" video. Ah, that took balls XD.

I love the Nostalgia Critic. Ironically, I found him through TVTropes.
I have to say my favorite reviews were Batman and Robin, the Good Son, North, The Room, Quest for Camelot, and the two-parter Conan reviews. I have more favorites, but that requires typing I'm too lazy to do.

I love NC. <3 The first I heard of him was on youtube. The first I saw was Bum Reviews Twilight. I Lol'd lots.
Then i decided to watch a NC. Soooo funny. I think the first one I watched was Titanic: the animated musical. that one is my absolute favorite. I STILL laugh when I watch it. My next favorite is the Good Son and then Carebears movie.

So I saw his review of 10 Commandments vs. Prince of Egypt
He brought up some god points on "God". I mean, in Christianity we're suppose to see God as "our father". God is strict, but still loving. He isn't the devil.

The first episode I ever saw of the Nostalgia critic was his Alone In The Dark, which hooked me in enough to have watched each of his episodes at least 5 times. And, yeah, I have a slight crush on him.
My favorite episode will be The Room, but it's mostly because the movie itself is just so WTF worthy.
Has anyone seen his 'That Guy Riffs' videos? or, is it another guy doing it?

I originally discovered TGWTG when someone on the old boards posted a link to the Bum's review of Twilight. I watched other Bum videos and then started watching NC (Tom and Jerry was my first, iirc).
Some of my favorites: The Room, animated Titanic, Moonwalker, and his top 11 videos.
Has anyone friended him on Facebook? I did a couple months ago, and he accepted! He seems to be accepting all the friend requests his fans give him ("Doug Walker is now friends with 47 other people"). Yeah, he's awesome.

I like how the TGWTG site allows others, who might have not gotten as much recognition, to do their own thing and thus becoming just as infamous as Doug. I like The Film Brain, Dena Natali, Spoony and Todd in the Shadows. I was surprised The Cinema Snob joined up, and I was afraid his material might not suit the rest of the site, but he seems to have a nice niche there. My only problem is with The Distressed Watcher. Even his Amazing Atheist stuff is getting annoying. I do think his friend Cody is pretty cute. *is shot*.
The first thing I saw from him was the Harry Potter Book 7 launch video. Him doing that Three Stooges freak out was hilarious! My favorite review from him was the Top 11 Drug PSA's. Really, those are so narmy and weird, it's hard to take them seriously. The one I didn't like is the Pokemon movie reviews, not so much I didn't like the material, but I'm not familiar with Pokemon, so I couldn't get into it.
Oh, and not to sound stalkerish, but if he still lives near Oak Park, i'm only 8 miles away from him...

^ Well, it's not like he was familiar with it either.
You could clearly tell in the review that he didn't grow up with pokemon, so he had pretty much no idea what he was talking about. (At least, that's the impression I got) If he did or had done more research, he could possibly have brought up the fact that the movie was very 4kids-ified and such. Then again, it WAS one of his earlier reviews.
While some of his recent reviews don't make me laugh as much as others, I'm still a fan. What I like about TGWTG is that even if you don't care about some contributers(I personally have no interest in Angry joe and some others.), there will always be at least one person whose stuff you like. And Doug himself has various characters too.

^ He said clearly in the beginning that he didn't grow up with Pokemon.
I actually was introduced to the Nostalgia Critic by the thread about him in the old V2 forum. I clicked the link to the Titanic Musical Review and it was love at first sight. I have to say that out of all of his reviews, my favorites are the Alone in the Dark, The Room, Quest for Camelot, Titanic, the Animated Musical, Captain Planet, Captain N, and a Troll in Central Park. All of those had me literally ROFLing.
Anybody else think he's in his best form when he does cartoons?

His non-cartoon episodes can show him in his best form as well; his Battlefield Earth episode was probably one of the best he's ever did in my opinion, and it also served to introduce the Spoony version of Terl.
I also really like his Top 11 series since it usually shows a more positive side to him instead of just rage; my favorite would have to be his Top 11 Scariest Performances as it details just what makes villains (and sometimes villain protagonists) so frightening.
Meyer should really watch that one video given how much James and the Volturi sucked.

Just watched the most recent episode; we get to hear him sing again.
It's also one of his more informative reviews, so people who like knowing the history of works will like this one.
