Any fans out there? I'm a big Bradbury fan, Fahrenheit 411 is my personal favorite, but I like the rest of his work. Martian Chronicles, The Halloween Tree, Something Wicked This Way Comes and Let's all Kill Constance have a special spot in my heart. So, anyone?

I used to hate Fahrenheit 451 back in high school not because I couldn't understand the story, but more like, why are books banned in the near future. Maybe I should read it again now that I'm older.
It's not a bad book, it's just that why ban books to begin with and what do people have against books in the book? Hehe. I like how firefighters don't actually put out fire but they burn books instead. I remember the part where the woman would rather die that have her books burned.

Well book burnings would really happen in places like Nazi Germany.

As annoyed said above, book burning did happen in the past, but it's also an allegory. Ray was trying to drive home the point of the importance of books as a source of knowledge and underscore their importance. You should give the book another try, I know it can be a hard book if you're not used to this type, but it's well worth it.
Also, I recommend you try his other works, look for I Sing the Body Electric, Something Wicked This Way Comes and other book with short stories (I forget the name atm).
