I've not read it, but based on what I've heard, it seems to be basically like Project X, which I despised with a fiery passion. I've heard the author is a raging misogynist. There's apparently (haven't read it because of the whole trigger thing) a story on his site where he tries to pressure a barely legal girl into anal and she ends up running out of his apartment, naked except for a blanket and screaming and crying, and it's played like comedy. I also heard that at certain points he questions whether fat girls are actually people.
And not only that, but according to Wikipedia, he apparently wrote stories about one of his exes, and he used her real name. She sued him for invasion of privacy, but he mind-bogginglingly got off because of "free speech". Morons. That is NOT how free speech works. Free speech allows you to criticize the government; it does not give you the right to invade people's privacy and say whatever you want. God, I hate the justice system.
The only thing I liked about it is that the movie was a HUGE flop. It cost 7 million dollars to make and ended up bringing in less than 2 million, and also was panned by critics. The author blames it on poor advertisement, but maybe it's the same reason why the movie makers toned down Twilight - because it's one thing to read about horrible things where you can picture it however you want, but seeing it up in real color makes it more "real". That and the fact that it takes less time to watch something than to read something may've brought in viewers outside of the target audience.
Anyone read this or at least heard about it? Is it as bad as it sounds?
