Well, I just think it was a very bittersweet ending. I can't wait until Bloodlines starts coming out. How do you do spoilers here?

Thanks Phoenix. I can't believe it was TASHA who murdered the queen and framed Rose for it. WTF? She was seemed so nice and I liked her -.- I can't believe she may be executed. Secondly, why is Jill so stony towards them after she finds out she's Lissa's half-sister? Thirdly, I feel so sorry for Adrian. He loses his both aunt and his girlfriend within the span of two books. Ouch. Last of all, Lissa as queen is actually disappointing. I was rooting for Ariana. Well, at least Mikhail and Sonya were reunited, Dimitri finally comes to his senses, Rose's bond with Lissa breaks and she can stop suffering from the madness and seeing ghosts.

So guys? I just realized something. You know when Joshua (a dhampir) proposes to Rose? His exact quote (on page 201) is "The other Tainted would never find you here. We could get married, and then when we had kids, we could build a loft like my parents' and --"
The thing is, dhampirs can't have kids together. I'm guessing he means having kids with other wives (or that Richelle dropped the ball again), but another fan I've been talking to thinks that dhampirs can kids depending on their parents.

And everybody was acting like that's normal. Yeah that was weird, too. On another note, the thing that irked me about LS is that It turns out that it was TASHA who murdered the queen and framed Rose. Unbelievable. I really liked her, and now she's probably going to be executed. =[ I actually think that Christian's going to turn against Lissa and Rose because of it.

I really liked her, and now she's probably going to be executed. =[ I actually think that Christian's going to turn against Lissa and Rose because of it. I think I've said this before, but... I don't think we were actually supposed to care about Tasha. Rose spent half of Frostbite bitching about her, and then she was barely mentioned. Sure, she did help Rose and Lissa, and Rose did say that she thought Tasha was okay now, but... it was kind of like how Rose said she was dating/kind of liked Mason. It didn't seem like a huge part of the overall story.
So, I really didn't care. I was more worried about what was going to happen in the 20 pages left and hoping that Richelle didn't throw in something that screwed up the ending.
But I don't know about Christian. He might hate Rose, but I think he loves Lissa too much and knows that neither of them (particularly Lissa) did anything to frame Tasha. Remember how Dimitri said that evidence against Tasha kept on coming in?
(What would that have been, by the way? I know that the only concrete stuff was that Ian saw Tasha there, and that doesn't seem like enough, but what else could there be? Did she pay the Moroi extra money just before he went to "attack" Lissa or something?)

Well, Bloodlines isn't going to focus on them, though. Richelle said Rose would just make a cameo, and I doubt Sydney/Jill/whoever else narrates will have nothing better to do than talk about what's going on at Court.

I was disappointed that Tasha was the murderer. Quite honestly, I just didn't care. I'd read somewhere about someone thinking it might have been Tasha, so it didn't come a surprise; but besides having already had an idea it might have been Tasha, I just didn't feel like there were enough things to hint at this. Maybe if Tasha had villainous at all before or if she showed slightly more obvious signs of having killed the queen, I would have cared more. They say that if you don't foreshadow something enough, your reader just isn't going to care when the big moment comes, and I found it true in this case for me. :/
I still liked it though. I loved the Dimitri moments. He seemed so much more dynamic and realistic in this book than any of the others. In the beginning of the series, he seemed to be too two-dimensional, moreso than Rose was because I felt like Rose really started developing in Frostbite, while Dimitri seemed to do so in Shadow Kiss.
Anyhow, I'm wondering who will be the love interest in Bloodlines that Richelle Mead mentioned. I'm hoping to see Adrian again in the spin-off series, but I don't want his character to be "ruined" either.

^ I don't think they threw him off - but it was weird to see him being... human after being portrayed as the stoic for three books.

So I finsihed "Frostbite"
I teared up when Mason died . . . even though I already checked his fate on TVTropes
It's a good book to read while my health is kinda down (I'm getting better, my throat doesn't hurt anymore).
I also like how they're hinting at possibly Rose starting to turn more and more dark, even though I feel the whole romance thing was beginning to bug me. Seeing as 3 guys were kinda on her.
Well now it's 2, but it still makes my eyebrow twitch. Especially since I don't like Adrian at all, since I feel he will get some from Rose or something. Ugh.

^ I don't know whether to think Adrian has a Urban Legend Love Life, or if he really does sleep around and has tons of STDs/illegitimate children that he doesn't know about. What was your impression, since you've read Frostbite recently?
Anyway, I was thinking today, and I just realized how much the VA universe is screwed up in my head. To start with, River and Simon Tam are actually Abe's kids (but he didn't know about it because their mom was married and told him that they weren't his kids)...
I mean, I know what the book canon is, so it's not like I'm wondering when an extra character is going to show up or anything, but still. (I was right about Dimitri knowing how to hot-wire cars like a pro, though.)

I thought Frostbite was alright. It did meander and bit with the romance, but otherwise it was pretty good. I liked how the foreshadow a possible darkness coming from Rose.
I was a bit disapointed that the fight scenes was kinda short too.
Mason's death was just like "Wham! Wait, what happened?" And I felt that it was too easy for easy to kill 2 Strigoi, especially one that's considered "old". I thought that was a little TOO out of field. I mean, I can see her killing off Elena, but the other guy too that supposedly had all this knowledge and skill and age?
I would give it a B- or 3.5 Stars out of 5. It wasn't terrible by any means, but it did have a few oo many "eh" moments for me to really let it slide.

Oh, I see. Lol You're not alone on that. Since I've started writing again, I was thinking about doing a fic similar to the 20 Sentences Jill/Adrian one, except with different characters. Does anyone have a crack pairing? ETA: The Bloodlines cover is HIDEOUS! It's not so much the girl (nice tattoo, though, even if she had a wonky angle), but the coloring of the background vs. the people.

I like the cover heaps, but only because it's one step closer to the actual book. And Sydney was never, ever, a blonde in my head. I think she was a brunette, but I can't be sure since I haven't read any of the books with her in them in a long time.

I think Sydney was supposed to have dark blonde hair. But for some reason I keep picturing her hair to be like Lissa's.
The cover of Bloodlines is okay...I think they can do better, though.

I think the people at Razor Bill just suck at having two people on the same cover. Except for Frostbite, every time they've had more than one person on the cover, it looks bad. (Especially if the people are supposed to be interacting. I think Sydney is supped to be holding Adrian's arm or something?) I know that the LS cover wasn't amazingly fantastic either, but that - to me - had to do with the actual model.

All the VA covers have been pretty shit. T______T
I can't believe they can't make any better covers. Like, I liked the covers on the first, second and third books before they redid them, but the new ones suck. I hated the LS cover. My favourite out of the new ones (4th to 6th books) probably has to be BP. But even then... Razorbill, get better cover artists for this fantastic series!! It SOOOOO deserves more! D:
The Bloodlines cover - I liked it at first, but now that I've really looked at it: no way. Please do something better. Though I do love the guy, he is NOT Adrian! He's more of a Dimitri (all fierce looking, lol) than an Adrian.

I liked the 1st cover of the new VA books (the only ones I got) . . . except why is the model blonde?
She is part Eastern European, THEY DON'T HAVE BLONDE HAIR! Sjhe even says her hair is almost black!
And that can't be Lisa because the model looks too devious
