Directly inspired by Ask Brianna and dakotajohn's characters. Gotta give credit where credit is due here. Jump in whenever you want...just have the entrance make sense. ;D --------------------------------------------------------- Shortly after the Skyblade Trio met Brianna and her cast of strange characters, they decided to see for themselves what their worlds were like. The trio parted ways with Brianna after deciding on this to prepare for their trip. Shortly before Brandon, Brianna and Twili had finished loading up their ride (which, for pure simplicity, is an over-sized Arwing from Star Fox), they got an email from Brianna, shortly describing the two planets they could visit, along with coordinates to both of them. The email simply read as thus: "Well, Alphanimalia is a luscious, oxygen breathing planet, so much larger than Earth, and there are tons of beautiful sights, not very many cities. Noriba is the exact opposite, nearly all city and fluorine breathing. There are people starving everywhere, except the rich ones of higher castes." "Yeah...we're gonna need gas masks if we want to visit the latter." Brandon noted. "You're totally right on that one, bro. So, Alphanimalia first?" Brianna replied. "Yep. Twili, are we done prepping the ship?" Brandon asked. "Just about. We can take off at any time!" Twili answered with a smile. "Then we're off!" Brianna shouted, fist raised. Outside, the Arwing was raring to lift off (don't ask how no one notices ). Brandon got in the pilot's seat, while Twili sat in the support seat directly behind him. Brianna...as per usual, was stuck in the bottom compartment (i.e. a slightly larger version of what Tricky went in for Adventures), forced to lie down in it. "Begin the countdown, Twili." Brandon said, letting Twili do the honors. "10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1..." Twili counted. "SKYBLADE, IN SPACE!" Brianna shouted as Brandon activated the ship, lifting it off the ground and heading for the sky, soon reaching beyond the atmosphere of Earth. Brandon had also input the coordinates for Alphanimalia as they left the planet. " Set controls to outer space now, flying higher than ever beforrrrrre, Trio...~" Brianna started to sing. "IN SPACE!" Brandon shouted. " Go Power Trio, go Power Trio, go Power Trio~" "Go go go, FLY!" " Go Power Trio, go Power Trio, go Power Trio, daaaaaaa~" "SKYBLADE!" Did she have to use that trope? Twili thought as the singing continued. " Flip the thrusters, fire the rockets, save the future, looooong live the Skyblade Triiiiiiiiooooo~" "Umm...can we stop paraphrasing the songs and making it seem more like an ego boost?" Twili asked, a bit annoyed at adding themselves to the lyrics. "Alright...sorry, Twili." Brandon apologized. "Kill joy..." Brianna uttered. "What was that?" "N-nothing, Twili!" Soon enough, Alphanimalia came into view shortly after the singing stopped. "Uh...where do we park this thing?" Brandon asked.

Brianna looked up in the sky, seeing an Arwing. She had seen these things in the Starfox universe, but not one that big in scale. That ship is huge.
Daniel Cethin and his two lovers stood behind her, they were waving up at it, and Mark was pointing to an empty field. The other characters Brianna had were in different places, but within a small proximity. Daniel was planning to see his other relatives on Noriba when they went there, since he wanted to say hello to them, and perhaps get them out of the situation they were in. The Cethins and branching clans were reduced to thieves and killers just so they could live day to day. Cannibalism was common.
The good Dr. Chenjerai brewed an air/space sickness elixir, which isn't all that different from a Gravol for car sickness. Though it worked faster it tasted awful. Like boiled summer savory. Plain boiled summer savory. The word "Red Coat", though it has had negative connotation on Earth, was the highest distinction for doctors on Alphanimalia. Red Coat doctors wore red lab coats, often with a color trim associated with whatever field they were involved in. Mark had gold trim, indicating he was a medical researcher.
It was night time, so Frank was able to go outside at the time. He wore a red cocktail dress, and had his old Noriban Space Corps jacket wrapped around him. He held onto DJ and put a hand over where his heart was. He remembered his own heartbeat, what it'd been, before he had become a vampire. His own heart and DJ's used to beat in time, and they breathed in time, but only when they were together. Daniel and Frank kissed, but only briefly.
Stan frowned until DJ came over and kissed him as well.

"Alright, activating scope so we can see them." Brandon said before doing so. "Heh...I think by now we can see the field, but still, help is help." "Taking her down, bro?" Brianna asked. "Indeed. Prepare for landing!" He replied, prepping the landing gear. Man, I hate the pressure change when we go down... Brianna thought. Twili monitored the altitude and speed meters as Brandon made the Arwing descend. "Skyblade to Brianna, we'll have touchdown in a couple seconds. Stay clear!" He shouted with the entry hatch slightly open so his voice could reach the group. "Keep going! You're good! You're good! You're good!" Brianna said, slightly annoying Brandon. "Sis, quit it." "Fine..." "Touchdown in 3...2...1...now!" The Arwing safely touched the ground, letting off some excess energy as it started to power down. Brandon then opened the entry hatch, climbing out of the seat and letting Twili take hold of his hand. "I still hate the timing of this part..." "Don't worry, Brandon. Just like normal, let's go." Twili replied, standing on the edge of the ship. "1...2...3!" The two said before jumping off in tandem, landing as safely as the ship did. Brianna climbed out of the lower area in the meantime.
"Hey, you guys. Like the ship? It was a new model that I got from Corneria. Less agile than the new, sleek types, but with all the firepower and more. Plus...obviously, the extra space helps." Brandon said. "Bro, you only 'got' it by totally abusing the Gil to Lylat Dollar currency exchange." Brianna noted with a smirk. "Oh, and hey...well, I guess Bri could work since the Mind Crushed self isn't with us. In that case...hey, Bri!" "Wait, she's canon with us now?" Twili asked. "We have a canon?" Brandon retorted. "...Never mind. So, besides this amazing looking backdrop, any place you want to show us first?" Twili said.

"Nice ship", Brianna said, she smiled, then turned to her friends.
"Hmm...Well, I suppose the first sight to see when one gets here is the main city. It's so compact and so convenient, you could condense a shopping trip that's normally an hour to ten minutes tops". Brianna pointed to a jag in the landscape, seemingly jutting out as odd in the face of everything else, which looked less...artificial.
Off to the west was a dense forest, seemingly calling out for attention as well. However, it was a bit dangerous, and Brianna tried to ignore it. The forest looked innocuous enough, but there were many pitfalls and traps within set by the indigenous peoples that lived there undisturbed. Well, the reason they were undisturbed because the traps eliminated all the problematic people in ways where they'd never be seen again.
"There's also a great rushing river to the south, clear as the day it was formed. It's suitable for swimming and all that good stuff. It's even potable. There's a small marble statuette every five kilometers on the more southern side of the river, usually those of the planet's goddesses. Don't forget the temples, those are magnificent. Large natural material structures."
"You're getting carried away", DJ butted in a bit rudely.

"City." Brandon and Brianna voted for. "River-aww, you guys!" Twili said. "Hey, we have experience with suburbs, why not?" Brandon pointed out. "Besides, we'll visit the river soon, okay?" "Well, I guess I can deal with that then." Twili replied, not really minding the decision. "So...ONWARD!" Brianna proclaimed, excited for their journey. "Come on, Bri, let's go! And if any of you get left behind...well, sucks to be you, we're not Bush!" "That was so funny, sis, I forgot to laugh..." Brandon muttered.

Brianna and the others nodded and followed. "The city is quite far away, but I suppose that it'd be a good walk", Brianna said. Her footfalls were ever so cautious and careful.
"Why are you walking so funny?" DJ asked.

"Okay, we can handle a walk. Like Brianna said, ONWA-where'd she go?" Brandon said, looking around for his sister. "SIS!" Brianna turned around, seeing Brandon pissed off after seeing her trying to get in the Arwing. "Heh...oh, you didn't think I would...come on!" "You are NOT taking a shortcut like that!" Brandon said before pulling out a remote that commanded the Arwing to take off, leaving Brianna to fall to the ground. "Ow...you didn't have to do that!" Brianna whined. "No, I didn't. But I did." Brandon said, smirking. "Will you two quit screwing around and walk with us already?" Twili demanded. "Yes, ma'am!" Brandon said, at attention. "Heh, you are such a suck-up to her..." Brianna muttered. "I COULD have the ship squish you like a bug, you know." Brandon replied, shutting Brianna up.

"You must find minor arguments like that to be very interesting, huh?" Twili pointed out, being a forced "fan" of it herself. "Say, Bri? Do they have some form of video games here? I'm ITCHING to kick my brother's ass at something!" Brianna said. "...We're on a proper adventure now and all you're thinking about is games?" Brandon said back to her. "Damn straight I am. Helps to keep my mind from being bored." Brianna answered.

"Well, on Alphanimalia, they finally found really good virtual reality technology. There are tons of games that use it at the arcade in the city, but there's one I really like that I play with Daniel. It's a two player thing, and you both get wireless helmets on your heads so you can see what your character within the game can see. It takes place in a small room devoid of objects except for rubber wands of varying lengths and shapes to imitate weapons. and you use them to 'kill' one another. Like a fighting game. It doesn't have guns, it's all melee to make it fair. I always kick Daniel's ass".
"Except that one time. I would never stop picking on you for it either". Despite Brianna and Daniel's arguments, they actually loved each other's company. It was the only thing that seemed to keep them both sane.
"Don't they have a couple games like that? The other with gun-like wands like an FPS and a realistic-looking and feeling outdoorsy setting so people can hide from each other?" Frank asked.
"Yeah, but that's in a bigger room", Brianna said, she scratched her head. The dirt road gave way to a paved one and a curb that could pass as a sidewalk.

Brandon's and Brianna's faces lit up like a Christmas tree planted in early November. ((Uh, wait a minute, I actually see that a lot where I live...))
"Hell. Yes." They both said in tandem. "Now we can totally go all-out on each other when training! No holding back!" Brianna said. "Oh man, I CANNOT wait to try that out! Can we go there first?" Brandon replied, begging the other Brianna. "Pleeeeeeeeeease? You guys can just go do everything else, we'll stay right there!" Brianna pleaded. "Guys...you'll have to leave eventually. And maybe they actually want you to see what this city has instead of wasting all your time training." Twili retorted. "B-b-b-b-b-but!" Brianna tried to force a reply, but couldn't. "But you know how much we'd love to try that! Please, Twili? I'll even have Brianna's ass kicked in your honor!" Brandon said. "Yeah, and he'll-excuse me? No no, you'll just fight to honor her. You won't win, but fighting is enough honor for that." Brianna replied. "Yeah? Sorry, but your Falco attitude ain't gonna win so easily!" Brandon answered back.
"That settles it, we're doing that last." Twili said, disappointing the twins. "You two can fight like children after we've seen everything else. We don't want competitive attitudes getting in our way, and you ARE coming with us. Got that?" "Fine..." The two both replied. Man, the one time where we can act as if we were truly siblings our whole lives, and it has to wait until the end... Brandon thought, looking depressed. "Well, the wait won't kill us, bro. Besides, we might have more than that to amaze us here." Brianna replied, seeming to be back to her cheery self. "I guess...the game thing just got me riled up." Brandon said back. "Well, we ain't leaving this city without trying that out for a while, so don't you worry about that. Besides, I can actually try out an old song when we get there!" Brianna said. "...What song?" Twili asked, a bit curious. "We are! We are! V! R!" Brianna replied in song. "That show was so under-rated..." Brandon noted. "Damn freaking straight it was." Brianna replied.

"Well, there's more things to do. There's a large candy shop with all sorts of different delicacies from different planets. Even Earth delicacies. Like Skittles, Turkish delight, and various original candies. Ones that produce full-body feelings. Some that make you cold or hot, some that make you tingle, others that make you numb. Others still make your body do things, like blend into your surroundings", Brianna said.
"Don't forget the restaurants. The Gilded Wolf is my favorite. It's so fancy and natural-looking. Things made of natural materials such as antler and wood. It all looks so rugged, like a steakhouse but fancier. The lighting is dim, but relaxing", Frank said.
"The Gilded Wolf kinda sucks. Half the time the music playing sucks", Daniel said.
"I like orchestra".
"Well, I don't. It sounds like wet farts".
"Joshua has been out more in you lately, hasn't he?" Brianna asked.
"I'm multiple personalitied, one part of me is a jerk, and the other is a doormat".

Brianna and her characters lead the way, Daniel begrudgingly so. He didn't want to really go, and as soon as the exquisite orchestra-like music came within earshot, he froze. The outside of the restaurant looked like a cabin with a log exterior. Inside there were some antler chandeliers, dim lights, and tables that looked like huge tree stumps and chairs all around them. Each table had a fire inside a glass compartment that diners could see if they looked down. The fire was real, and it could change colors and often did.
"Told you it was nice" Brianna smirked.

"Damn, this place is like that Boulder Creek place back home. And I mean...well, Sky's home." Brandon noted. "And it's already scoring points with me!" Brianna replied. Twili turned around to see Daniel completely in place. "Come on, it's just a restaurant." Brianna quickly whipped out Twili's (now-repaired since the original RP topic) PSP, getting Dissidia loaded and have the music set on Theater Auto-Play. She also got out headphones and handed it all to Daniel. "There. Drown the music out with that, okay? Now quit looking scared stiff!"

Brianna looked all around and chose a table. "You get to seat yourself here. Seat yourself and wait".
She sat down as did her other characters. Daniel smiled and listened to the music in the headphones.
Mark looked down at the fire, which changed to purple. "I wonder how they do that".

Brianna quickly swiped the seat next to her Brianna counterpart. "Figures." Brandon uttered under his breath. Just to be safe, he sat next to her, with Twili sitting next to him, putting him in between the two. "No, THIS figures." Brianna said, pointing to her own trio sitting together. "Got me there." Brandon shrugged.

The food had been brought, but by a different server than what took the orders. This server was snotty and kinda stuck up. She had a large bust and a rake waist. She especially was that way to the women of the table, sitting down their food in such a way so that it wobbled a little.
"I'm not giving her a tip. The other server was more polite. He didn't seem as...rude", Brianna said.
"He was hot", Daniel said, drooling a little.
Frank and Stan shot dirty looks at him, and he said "What? I seen both of you eying him too". Both of them looked away and whistled nonchalantly.
Mark smiled, "I guess I'm the classiest one here".

"Geez, please tell me they don't require tips for every waiter unlike back home." Brianna said, manually having to stop her food from moving. "I don't even want to wonder why she was like that..." Twili stated. Brandon took a quick sigh. "Someone clearly took the wrong job offering." "Bro, I'm surprised you didn't stare at her. You know...'stare' stare." Brianna said, of course meaning the rack. "I try my best not to. Though, it's really harder than you might think. Of course, not focusing on her was easier when she looked at you two that way. Couldn't stand it right off the bat." Brandon replied. "And trust me, Bri, that isn't chivalry doing the talking for him. He gets real passionate about his friends. Especially long-time ones, like...who was that kid we-or...you...whatever, you hung out with in elementary school?" "Oh yeah, him-wait a moment! Twili, since your place is situated in Florida, WE CAN FIND HIM since he moved there a while ago!" Brandon said. "I...think that would be a little strange for Sky to write. This version of you meeting up with a real-life best friend? Wouldn't he question why you aren't with your family?" Twili noted. "Damn...you're right." Brandon said with disappointment. "Oh, cheer up, bro." Brianna said, patting her brother on the back. "Now, let's EAT!"

Brianna looked down at the clubhouse chicken sandwich she ordered, and the house-cut fries that were served with it. "That stupid waitress made the sandwich slop a bit. Ugh". She began eating anyway.
Stan paused, his fork dipped in his spaghetti. "I know that woman. She's some sour bitch, I don't know her name but she was all pissy because she couldn't get me in the sack".
Mark laughed, a bit of his pizza pie showing in his open mouth.

The twins dug into their steaks, regretting a bit that they didn't notice the pizza. Oddly enough, Brianna's was perfectly fine despite the apparent rudeness to her before. Twili's meal, on the other hand... ((Hmm...pulling out of a hat here.)) ...had a heavily burnt bunch of quesadillas. "I don't think this was her fault...someone probably dropped them onto the stove." Twili said. Brandon looked over at Twili's meal for a moment. "Yeesh, that sucks. Want some of mine?" "Gladly, thank you." Twili responded, accepting about half of Brandon's steak. "Bro, you gave up THAT much!? You're almost never satisfied with an out-to-dinner steak unless you eat it all!" Brianna pointed out, mouth full. "Sis, have SOME decency in here. And I DO have more than just steak on this plate." Brandon replied. "You? Eating the sides? God, you're funny." Brianna said, her face not totally stuffed this time. "Hmm...hold on a moment." She said before leaning to her Brianna counterpart. "Say, what exactly is the currency around here?"

Brianna had her face stuffed full enough that she had to take a couple minutes before answering. "Well, they take any currency. The exchange rate here ensures that the price of the meal in Earth currencies, at least in first world countries, is roughly equal to Alphanimalian quarics. Quarics are pretty neat, they're the size of Canadian loonies, but they're made of pressed quartz".
Stan reached into his pocket and produced two coins that looked like checker pieces made of quartz. "This is roughly equal to two Canadian dollars, these two coins here".

"Oh, nice! Hey, Brandon, what do we have now?" Brianna asked, making Brandon instantly stop. He looked away right after. "We're not...don't tell me." "Well...I wouldn't know. Twili's our funds expert. Hey wait, you actually called me by name instead of 'bro.'" Brandon replied. "That's not lasting long, trust me." Brianna said back. "Calm down, you guys. I brought plenty with us in case there was some kind of currency exchange rate." Twili answered, calming the twins down. "How much?" Brianna asked. "Enough. We'll get plenty of souvenirs, don't you worry." Twili responded. The trio then went back to their meals, quickly finishing up.

Brianna and co. finished their meals quick enough that they seemed more full than they actually were. Brianna placed her payment and those of her friends on the table.
DJ smirked, and took out his sling shot. He loaded it with a rubber ball and aimed it at the bitchy waitress. He let go of the ball and it smacked her square in the back of her head.

Brianna took a deep breath before screaming, "PWWWWWWNE-" before Brandon covered her mouth. "Do you WANT to get us thrown out before we can walk out!?" Brandon chastised. "Hold that statement until we can play those games later, alright?" Brianna nodded and got out a muffled "Sure." "I swear, you're gonna be the death of us someday." Twili commented. "Hey!" Brianna said, breaking free of Brandon. "Come on, you don't really think that, do you?" "Of course not, but it got a reaction of out you." Twili replied, laughing. Brandon sighed. "So...where to next?"

Brianna stifled a laugh. "So, where will we go next after here, after y'all pay up for your meals? Are we going to the candy store or the arcade or what?"
DJ looked over, "Seriously, do you need to ask that?"
Brianna gave him a small punch on the arm that still managed to hurt.

"Uh wait, we're paying for our own-OW!" Brianna said before Brandon playfully punched her arm. "What was that for!?" "Forget about the payment and decide where we're going." Brandon said, knowing Twili will foot their part of the bill. "Okay..." Brianna said back, rubbing her arm. "Twiiiiiiiliiiii? Can we pleeeeeease-" Twili laughed, interrupting her begging. "Fine fine, you can go to the arcade next. Happy?" "YES!" Both twins said, high fiving each other and simultaneously hugging Twili. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" They added in unison. "On one condition: I get a turn with dueling." Twili said. "DEAL!" Brandon and Brianna both shouted. "You know, you're starting to act more like actual twins these days." Twili noted, putting down the payment for the trio's meals and getting up, not to mention freeing herself from their hug. "Hey, pretending that I'm an actual sister instead of some clone trope helps a lot." Brianna answered. "Anyway, thanks so much! We really appreciate it, Jordan." Brandon said. Twili smirked at her real name. "I know you're serious if you used that old name. Just like if you two call each other by name instead of 'bro' and 'sis.'" The twins glanced at each other and laughed, knowing it was true. "Now then, LEAD US TO IT, BRI!" Brianna said, pointing outside the restaurant.

Brianna smiled and looked back to the others, "It's not too far from here, just a few blocks north, very flashy and bright against the dull night lights. Alphanimalia is known to try to reduce its light pollution, as well as other types of it. Except for the arcade, which uses the dull lights to its advantage to stand out with the bright flashy neons". The city soon faded in the lack of light from the sky, all but a few electric lanterns glowed softly in the darkness, and a seemingly softer light drifted from the pavement itself. It seemed to create a path for travelers to follow.
The arcade was the brightest thing in the town; the rainbow neon sickeningly bright against the black of night seemed to look down upon visitors in an arrogance only such bright signs could create. Brianna lead the others to it, the sickening building, or what she considered to be sickening.
