((Okay, I got no excuse for posting in a while, sorry. XD))
"Ohhhhhh crap, now we might be in a bit of trouble. But, we can do this! Evolution or not, we're taking you down!" Brianna said with confidence. That evolution had to have replenished Daniel's stamina...we've gotta do something about that! She thought before cooking up a plan. "Best Water, SURF!" She shouted, making her Feraligatr create a huge wave from the ground, and also making Hermes panicking for a second. "Hold on one moment! You won't get hit! Just play Chicken with the wave!" Hermes nodded and stood its ground, hoping that his trainer had a plan. "JUMP, NOW!" She said, having the Magmortar jump up and ride on the top of the wave as it crashed down.
Meanwhile... "Second thought, 3 on 3, or this is gonna take forever on our end." Brandon said for a moment before focusing on the battle. "Jordan, Magical Leaf!" Twili called out, sending out Meganium's multi-colored leaves and heading straight for Swellow. "FLY!" Brandon called out, making the bird shoot straight up in the air, but still getting hit by one of the leaves due to its limited dodging ability from the seeds. "Darn...still got hit...but, dive down!" Jordan waited for its opponent to divebomb close enough to her, raising its front legs when Sora got close. "Stomp!" Twili said, having said raised legs try to trap the bird. Sora, however, wasn't fooled from the early preparation and somersaulted to waste Jordan's energy, still coming straight down on Jordan. This time, the starter was put down. "Jordan, get back! You've weakened Sora enough!" Twili said, returning the starter to its Pokeball. You've done me proud. "One-zip, Twili! Whaddya got now!?" Brandon taunted.

(Don't be sorry)
Brianna looked at the huge wave. How would Daniel-Josh survive that? That was where Locke came into play. Daniel-Josh withdrew his flames, and allowed the water to rush over him. He stood totally still and squeezed himself into a tightened figure. Once the surf was done, Locke slipped something around Daniel-Josh, a glowing thread which linked to his Giga Drain. Assuming that after the surf was done, Best Water was probably vulnerable to an attack which would take him off guard. Locke finished charging and his wooden horns grew to use the Giga Drain on the Feraligatr. Little did Brianna know, the Giga Drain Locke was using was not called Giga Drain at all. Rather, it was called Wood Horn. It did the same thing but was the signature move of Locke's species.
Daniel-Josh was a bit exhausted from the battle thus far, but that would soon change because of the Wood Horn about to replenish him. Brianna taught her Pokemon well, and it was always good for a two on two battle to show it.

"Alright, we got a damn good hit there and-Best Water, look out!!" Brianna said, seeing Locke charge straight at Best Water. Huh, I don't think I've seen this move... Best Water attempted to dodge the attack, but still got hit by one of Locke's horns. It made no difference, however, as it still took the Super Effective blow at full force, knocked down and energy being drained from it...but it wasn't going to Locke. The energy headed for Daniel-Josh, surprising Brianna. "What the...how is that going to...that sly devil! That thing swapped with its partner mid-battle!" She said. We're gonna lose this...her Pokemon are much more than just battle partners. They look just as close as her other friends. "But we're not giving up!!" She thought and shouted, surveying the situation.
"It's time to stop going all-out and start working as a three-part team! Hermes..." Brianna trailed off, making sure Hermes paid attention. "Help Best Water up, now! He needs you more than anything!" Hermes seemed a bit surprised by the order, but it followed through with it, helping out Best Water and setting his sights on Locke shortly after. "I see...you want revenge. Alright then, Locke's close to ya! Best Water, Crunch! Hermes, Flamethrower again!" Brianna ordered, with the Pokemon instinctively performing a pincer attack around Locke, then unleashing their attacks, one after the other.
Meanwhile, Brandon didn't seem to be feeling much energy from his own battle anymore. "Your foe's weak! Go get 'em, Sky!" Twili said, bringing out her Staravia. "Weak? Crap, he'd be in the red by now! Sora, defensive maneuvers!" Brandon called out, but it was too late. Sky had already Quick Attacked Sora, and with Leech Seed still affecting him, the combination took him down. "Damn...good job, Sora." He called, returning his Swellow to its Pokeball.
He refused to bring out another Pokemon from the looks of it. "Twili...I'm just not feeling it. Sora didn't look too enthusiastic, either. Let's save the rest of our team a trip to the Pokemon Center, alright? Besides, Brianna looks quite excited about her battle." "Alright, then. Let's go, Sky." Twili replied, returning Sky to his Pokeball. "Sorry about that, Brandon." "That's okay. Let's go!" Brandon said as he and Twili walked over to the dual Brianna's battling, holding hands as they watched. "GO SIS!"

Locke knew he was in big trouble, but he wasn't going to let that stop him. Brianna hardly said a word when Daniel-Josh used Blast Burn on the distracted Pokemon. Before Locke was weakened by the Flamethrower, though, he loosed another Frenzy Plant at Best Water. He was trying to hide how weakened he was though.
Daniel followed Brandon and Twili back to the dual fight. Most of his Pokemon were disappointed that the battle ended early but he wasn't, and neither was Idina. In fact, when Idina saw the fight between the two Briannas and their Pokemon, she lost it. Idina ran out into the field, and Daniel felt powerless to stop her.
"ELEC-VIRE-ELECTIVIRE! (Translation: STOP FIGHTING DAMNIT!)" Idina was waving her arms and sending sparks was she ran right into Hermes' Flamethrower. Although that didn't stop Locke from getting hit.
"Interference! Insane Electivire on the field!" Brianna shouted, "Someone get Idina off the field!"
Idina screamed in pain, horrid pain. She'd never been in battle before and attacks like these made her suffer.

Brianna gritted her teeth as the Electivire interrupted the match, hopefully not wanting the flow to be broken.
"What was that one's name? Idina?" Twili asked, leading Brandon to nod. "Idina! Over here! I have Poffins!" She shouted, bringing out a few Poffins she had made. "Nice quick thinking, Twili." Brandon complimented. "Always have a backup plan, right?" Twili said as she held out the food.
"Sorry about that!" Brianna apologized to Daniel as her two Pokemon fell back and regrouped near their trainer. "Now then...eh?" She said, seeing Hermes help to push Best Water along, standing back-to-back in the middle of the battlefield, waiting for another attack from both sides to come at them. "I didn't have to say a thing...and they're looking out for each other. Alright, stand your ground!" Best Water glared at Locke while Hermes glared at Daniel-Josh at the command.

Idina whimpered, unusual for an Electivire, and seemed to be crying. She had a burn, and it was hurting really bad. She got up and went over to the Poffins. Eating them up, she still whimpered until DJ gave her Burn Heal.
"I...I'm sorry, she hates fighting. She was covering her eyes during the Brandon vs. Twili match. However, I have no idea why she tried to stop this one". He turned to Idina, "Be careful next time, okay? There's nothing you can do about fighting, it's a way of life." Then he talked to Brandon's Brianna, "Sometimes I wonder if Idina isn't a Ditto that took the form of an Electivire permanently. She seems too motherly and peaceful".
Locke glared at Best Water, then sent another Wood Horn, while Daniel-Josh sent a Blast Burn to both opponents. The time that Idina took out of the battle was enough for him to recharge. The fire from the Blast Burn traveled down Locke's horn which acted like a conductor for the fire.

Brianna turned to Daniel for a second and smiled, not bothered by the interruption too much. "That's alright. Besides, I think it's unique for an Electivire to act like that." As she turned back, she noticed that her Pokemon switched positions back to back so that Best Water wouldn't be hit by its weakness again.
Since Hermes was behind him, Best Water created another Surf attack that Hermes wouldn't be affected by. This time, it also rode the wave to give it the extra oomph it might need to handle Daniel-Josh's new healing maneuver. Meanwhile, Hermes dashed straight at Locke after both Pokemon plowed through or with the Blast Burn attack, coming at Locke with a Fire Punch, but running around it before doing so after noticing that a frontal attack was worthless.

"It certainly is, since Electivire are known to bully other Pokemon", Daniel said, "But not Idina, in fact, she thinks of all the Pokemon in our little group here as her children, even if they look quite different".
Locke was charging a Wood Horn for just such an occasion that one of the other Pokemon would charge at him. Daniel-Josh, as the Surf attack hit, used the opportunity to loose a Hyper Beam at Best Water. He was feeling a bit weakened now. Locke's Wood Horn was ready, and as the Fire Punch connected, he used the Wood Horn.
Idina sat down, something caught her eye. An injured Sentret, the tail was broken. She went over to the creature and picked it up, looking it over. She poked Daniel (a.k.a DJ, the names are interchangable in this case), who turned his head to see the little Sentret. He always had a bottle of formula for Idina in case she found an injured Pokemon that was too young to eat solid food. This Sentret was still a baby. He handed the formula over to the Electivire, who started feeding the little Pokemon with the bottle.

Best Water hadn't expected the Hyper Beam the moment Surf connected, so it took the entire beam at full force with no defense set up. The blow felt like a critical hit, but he was able to get up, struggling as he did so. Meanwhile, Hermes traded blows with Locke, and he would've cursed under his breath if he could the moment Locke had barely turned around to take the attack.
While Hermes did have a bit more energy than Best Water at the moment, they seemed to be on their last legs. If any hard-hitting attack lands on either of them, regardless of elemental type, it would be an almost guaranteed knockout. Attacking separately was out of the question, and focusing both on one opponent was impossible due to their enemy's friendship translating into advanced battle tactics...so, what were they to do?
A battle I...and they could actually lose...and probably will. I can stand to lose a fight once in a while...it'd be good for me. Brianna said, seemingly relaxed despite the tense battle. "Sis? Are you alright?" Brandon asked from the sidelines, becoming a bit concerned as Brianna kept her eyes closed for a minute. "I...I'm fine. This is just as fun as our duel, bro." Brianna replied, still keeping her eyes closed. "You don't look too fine, Brianna. What's the matter?" Twili asked. "I'm actually gonna lose for once...but, don't get me wrong. It's not as frustrating as it sounds. This is a real challenge for me. And Brianna..." Brianna explained, confidently staring at her opponent through a few tears and shouting as she called her name. "Thank you and your Pokemon for giving me that challenge!" Heh, are we gonna give someone else development here? Or is Brianna gonna take it all up? Brandon jokingly thought for a moment.
"Best Water...Hermes...no matter what happens, you and the rest of the party are my proud friends! More than just partners in battle, true friends! Now, let's go down together!" Brianna shouted at her Pokemon as they decided to stare down their attackers. "Final routine...set!" She shouted as they prepared one final assault. "EXECUTE!!" Hermes jumped and let out a Fire Blast straight down at Locke while Best Water performed one last point-blank Surf at Daniel-Josh, this time leaving the wave on its own.

Locke snorted, the energy stolen making him regain health, Daniel-Josh appeared to be on his last legs, though, so Locke seemed to be protecting him. Locke quickly shoved Daniel-Josh out of the way while he took the fire and the water, leaning more towards the water. He had enough energy within him to execute a Razor Leaf at Best Water before he was almost fainted. Daniel-Josh charged a Blast Burn and sent it straight to Hermes. Locke and Daniel-Josh were seemingly leaning on each other, seemingly breathless.
Idina looked up from feeding the Sentret, and got ready to treat the battlers once they were finished. She carried a small pouch with her that contained medicines and things that she'd be using. She was also like a portable Pokemon Center.

Time seemed to slow down around Brianna's Pokemon. The combined weakness and powerful attacks seemed to spell the end right there. Each of them fell back side by side, but Hermes attempted to keep Best Water up with the last of his strength, as if he was telling his partner to launch one last attack...for him. Best Water barely complied and threw Hermes straight at the enemies, falling to the ground after doing so. "He did a...a Fighter-Douken!" Heh, forget that 4-move limit! Pokemon are smarter than that gameplay mechanic! "Hermes! BLAST BURRRRRRRN!" Brianna shouted to the heavens, having Hermes comply with his arm cannons sent into overload with the desperation attack firing at that instant at the opposing duo.

"One last Blast Burn! You can do it Daniel-Josh!" The Typlosion met the other Blast Burn with his own, the results being disasterous. When both met, they exploded into a fireball, Daniel-Josh was thrown back, and fell down. Locke stepped back, and threw Magical Leaves into the fireball.
DJ looked on, amazed. Frank, his Daikenki, was Hydro Cannoning into the air. Zeke the Salamence looked ticked off and started headbutting him.

The large explosion was about to blow Hermes back when the Magical Leaves did it sooner, becoming mini fireballs before burning up completely. "HERMES!" Brianna said, running onto the battlefield and knowing the match was pretty much over. Best Water was already out cold and Hermes was fighting to stay awake on the ground near him. "Hermes...you and Best Water took that like true men right there. That teamwork you pulled off near the end...it made me proud to be your Trainer. No, forget that! It made me proud to be your friend! Now, I want you two to take a good, long rest. After that display, you both deserve some down time. Thank you..." She said, not even attempting to hold back some tears at this point. Hermes merely nodded with a smile in response before falling unconscious.
"Wow...that was amazing, sis. They learned from their opponent's examples and began to work as true friends would." Brandon commented. "He's right. They started to really look out for each other near the end of that. They fought as friends...just as we do every day." Twili added on. "Yep..." Brianna merely said as she returned her downed Pokemon back to their Pokeballs. She walked over to her victorious opponents, actually proud of her own defeat. "Thanks, Brianna. I think your team has taught me two things at once. First...that I shouldn't mind losing..." "And the second?" Brandon asked. "I should fight alongside my friends AS a friend, not merely a battle partner." Brianna said, shaking her counterpart's hand. "Now...the two of you, I need total high fives!" She also said, referring to Daniel-Josh and Locke.

Brianna smiled and shook the counterpart's hand, "No, thank you. You taught me something today as well. You taught me that strength in training is also important. It came so close to me losing". Daniel-Josh could not get up, he was unconscious. Idina rushed to the field and pulled him to the sidelines to treat him. Locke was a bit wobbly on the knees, but was able to put one hoof for a high-five.
The injured Sentret was strapped to Idina's arm with DJ's shirt. It watched as she looked over to Brandon's Brianna as if to say "Bring your Pokemon here". She started work on the Typhlosion, spraying potion on wounds and giving different types of medicines to restore stats.

"Really? Wow...it's a bit new that I've taught someone something. But, thanks!" Brianna said to her counterpart after taking Locke's high...well, hoof. "That's the spirit!" "Hey sis, that Electivire from before looks like it wants to help your own Pokemon." Brandon pointed out. "Really now? Ain't that sweet. Alright, here...I dunno if they have to be out of the ball to be healed, so give me a heads up if I do." Brianna said to Idina, handing the Pokemon the Pokeballs that held Best Water and Hermes.

Locke gave his equivalent of a smile. He trotted over to Idina to get treated as well. Speaking of Idina, she opened the Pokeballs and the fainted Pokemon came out. She got herself started, using various potions and and medicines. Daniel-Josh, who was treated earlier, was feeling much better. He went over to Brandon's Brianna and held up his paw for a highfive.
Mikayla the Raichu was chasing Lis the Vaporeon, who didn't want to be herded with the others. Mikayla could usually keep up, but the Raichu was especially fat. Fattened with something. She stumbled forward, and Lis zipped past Idina, whom she recognized. She stopped and approached her, showing off some whip marks. Mikayla had been whipping her with her tail.
Mikayla herself followed, but soon quickly collapsed. She seemed out of breath, and Idina went over to check it out. She was finished with the other Pokemon. Well, except Lis. She'd treat her later, Mikayla seemed more urgent. She poked the Raichu's stomach gently. It turned out Mikayla was having an egg. She created a comfy bed of fallen branches, and coached Mikayla's breathing. The Raichu then began pushing. The Electivire was still coaching, but was helping the egg out too. It slipped out, and Mikayla passed out in pain. Now the little Sentret would have a playmate when the egg hatched.
Next, Idina paid attention to Lis. She sprayed the wounds with potion, which made them gradually disappear.
There was a mystery in this, who impregnated Mikayla? That Raichu was more reserved than a room at the most expensive hotel. Also, she used her tail like a whip. She frequently whipped male Pokemon away. She had very prudish, self entitled behavior. She was especially mostly an ungrateful little bitch to Idina, but that changed when she was having the egg. It'd likely change back once she realized she didn't need Idina anymore.

Brianna gave Daniel-Josh a high five and went over to her revived Pokemon. "Feeling better, you guys?" She asked her duo before they nodded and went to hang out with their previous opponents.
"Hey sis, which fight did you like better? Our duel or your battle with her?" Brandon asked. "Don't make me answer a tough question like that, geez! I can't instantly decide!" Brianna replied, returning to her friends while her Pokemon played around. "So, what do you wanna do now, Brandon? I know our battle didn't satisfy you before." Twili asked, knowing that she hadn't been satisfied herself. "I dunno. Hey, Brianna! Know of any other place for Twili and I to spar besides that arcade?" Brandon asked, raising his voice to clearly direct his attention toward the other Brianna.

"Well, there's the battle dojo just outside the city. That's all I know of. Besides, I'm more interested in this", Brianna pointed to Mikayla and the egg. "If I know that little one as well as I do, she wouldn't give it away so easily. This is a mystery". Lis looked relieved that Mikayla was busy sleeping beside the egg to warm it.
Dr. Ayano was looking for Mikayla. "Has anyone seen my Raichu?"
"Over here"
"Is that...an egg?"

"Well, I'll be. They DO just lay eggs!" Brianna exclaimed. "Still...the question is how the first step works...which I don't think I wanna know."
"Yeah...we'll be at the dojo while you ponder that. Let's go." Brandon said, making Twili follow him. "Right behind you. I actually can't wait for this." Twili replied.

Brianna just sat there looking over the egg. "Alright, I'll solve this in the meantime". She ran her finger over the egg while Mikayla slept. "Hm". Brianna found the egg to have a slight blue discoloration. It might have been a clue. She looked to Lis, who looked back at her. Though Lis was female, she did have a brother named Fleur. Vaporeon were more clever than she'd originally thought...

Brianna sat down next to her counterpart, legs crossed. "So, you think it was the other Vaporeon or something? I dunno...maybe it could be something else. We'd need to check every Pokemon with the slightest hint of blue on them. Course, it wouldn't be any of my friends' nor my own, since they were involved in battles at the time. So, someone here would've had to be already released and not fighting. This'll be tough..."
Meanwhile, Brandon and Twili went to the dojo and asked for a bit of private space for them to have a match. They got an enclosed room, perfect for CQC (close-quarters-combat) or sword fighting the later of which they would do. "Don't hold back, alright, Brandon?" Twili asked. "Sure thing! Battle routine, set!" Brandon replied. "EXECUTE!!" Twili happily finished before the two charged each other with their swords clashing.

"Maybe DJ's Daikenki? Unlikely...what's that?" She pointed to a small blue sphere in the brush. It bobbed audibly and Mikayla looked up. It was a male Marill, fairly younger than the Raichu Mikayla, whom he seemed to be seeing. Not only was Mikayla a snob, but she was also a cradle-robber, so to speak. The Marill approached the Raichu, shooting a playful jet of water.
Idina was just about ready to cover up Mikayla after a few moments checking on Lis, however when she got close, she was bitten. The Electivire tried her best to cover up the pain she was in by trying to act happy.
Brianna felt a temptation to smack the Raichu, "We don't treat others like that".

"Hmm...a sudden playfulness towards the Raichu? Combined with the blue streaks on the egg..." Brianna said, donning a strange spiky wig. "We have a second suspect!" She shouted, pointing at the Marill as if she were acting like Phoenix Wright. "Now then..." She stopped for a moment, pretending to bang her hands down on a non-existent table. "Who here would step up first to explain the existence of this here egg?" Heh...Brianna Skyblade, Ace Attorney...honestly, it lacks the ring that Phoenix had.
Meanwhile, Twili and Brandon continued their sword duel, but instead of being evenly matched, Brandon seemed to be losing. Whenever he found an opening, he only hesitated and didn't want to capitalize on the weakness.
After noticing this several times, Twili refused to go right back to clashing swords and stopped for a moment. "Brandon...are you alright? You can't possibly say you're doing your best. I know you can take advantage of us using different arms for our weapons...but you don't." Twili said. "I...I don't know, Twili." Brandon said with his head down. "Brandon...can you even hit me?" Twili suddenly asked. "Wha-of course I can! I'll do it right now!" Brandon said. Twili nodded and began to clash with Brandon again.
Soon after, Brandon got Twili to stagger and saw the opening he needed. He dashed right to her, but the surprised face she made after being staggered made him hesitate again. Twili took that moment to knock his sword out of his hand, effectively disarming him. "Brandon, you did it again." Twili pointed out. "What's the matter with you?" "I...I can't explain why. I just can't!" Brandon said back. "Are you afraid to hit me?" Twili asked. "O-of course not! That's just...true." Brandon replied, putting his head down again. "How come? We know it's only training, so even if we get hurt, it won't be too bad." Twili stated. "If it were anyone else, I'd be fighting like normal, even with Brianna. But with you...I just can't do it, regardless of being able to easily treat any wounds. As for why it's only you I do this with, I'm just not sure..." Brandon replied. "Hmm...let's head back to the others, then. We'll talk on the way, alright?" Twili suggested. "I'd like that. Thank you, Twili." Brandon said, attempting to make a smile. "You're welcome, Brandon. Anytime." Twili said back, thanking the dojo members for letting them use the room before walking out with Brandon.

The Marill jumped up, he was startled by the sudden gestures. Idina was soothing over her biting wounds, but she wouldn't be the only one bitten tonight. Mikayla launched herself at Brianna, the one making all the gestures to the Marill.
Brianna took the bite instead. She didn't know Raichu could bite so hard. She tossed the pissed off Pokemon away from her. The bite had broken the skin in only two areas, but they still bled. "That Raichu is a bitch!"
Mikayla landed against the trunk of a tree, hit her head, but understood every word Brianna said. Dr. Ayano looked on in shock, even as she approached her Raichu, it loosed a growl. The same Raichu she'd raised as a Pikachu.

Brianna yelped a bit when the Raichu jumped at her. "That was dumb, that was dumb, that was dumb!" She quickly said before her counterpart took the hit instead. "Whoa! Th-thanks for the save there!" What's with that Raichu? I get her being pissed at me...but even who I'm assuming is her Trainer?
She didn't want to approach the Raichu, so she instead glanced at Idina. "Hey, could you get some medical supplies over here?" She asked before looking closely at the wound. "Man, that must sting! Are you sure you're alright? It didn't hurt too bad, did it, Brianna?"
Meanwhile, though Brandon agreed to talk on the way back, he hadn't said a word since leaving the dojo with Twili. "Brandon, I-" Twili got out. "-I can't attack you." Brandon interrupted as they walked, making Twili stop for a moment before catching up. "Do you know why?" Twili asked. "I think I do. I'm too worried about you." Brandon flatly replied. "Too worried that I'll get hurt?" Twili asked back. "Too worried in general about you. I know you can take of yourself just fine, but I can't stand the thought of you being hurt in any way. I don't know why I feel like this...just that I do." Brandon explained. "It's just you being a good friend. Of course you can't stand people you care about getting hurt or anything like that-" "-But the point is, it's different with you! If someone hurts Brianna, I'd normally get quite angry, but you...I'd either nearly go berserk or drop everything to help you!" Brandon cut Twili off with. "...Maybe we should just get back to both Brianna's first. I...think I need to cool down before I go on." "Sounds like a plan." Twili said before grabbing Brandon's hand and continuing to walk.

Idina understood, and tried her best to not use the hand that Mikayla bit. She gave the supplies to the not-bitten Brianna, and held out her own hand. The Raichu bit her hard enough to take a chunk out.
The bitten Brianna tried to hold back tears, "It's fine. Absolutely fine. Just needs some medical attention". She looked at Mikayla, whom was still growling at her Trainer. "I think Mikayla doesn't want to be disturbed, let alone have her lover disturbed. That's what I think, anyway. That's why she got pissy at anyone that approached her or the Marill".
The injured Sentret in the sling on Idina's arm buried its face in the yellow fur of the Electivire. It clearly didn't want to see anyone get hurt. Just then, Mikayla's egg started to move about. It was hatching.
Mikayla stopped growling and approached her egg, clutching it with short, stubby arms. The first crack revealed a pink dot, then a spade-shaped ear. The yellow rodent within broke out of the egg, and took one look at its mother. Instead of staying though, the Pichu ran to Idina. It was a male Pichu, and Brianna was already thinking of names for it. However she found it odd that he didn't stay with his mother.

Brianna happily accepted the supplies, saying "Thanks! You're quite a big help around here." She turned to her counter part, treating the wound and applying a makeshift bandage to the area. After she finished, she noticed the egg beginning to hatch. She did her best to hold in a squeal, but was unsuccessful as the baby Pichu hatched.
"Ye gods, who was that?" Brandon said as he and Twili returned. "As if Twili's wasn't bad enough, the fact that your voice is a lot higher than hers makes it twice as bad!" "Look!" Brianna said, pointing at the baby Pichu. Brandon stared at the little mouse for a quick moment. "Okay, there's a perfectly viable reason to-" "Aww, it's so cute!" Twili said, nearly squealing as well. "That...was TOO close! Least it's really cute, though." Brandon replied. "What should his name be?" Brianna asked. "No wait, I got a perfect one! It's a Pichu, so call it Surfing Pichu!" Brandon and Twili gave Brianna sweatdrop-worthy faces at the name. "Sis...first of all, THAT 'Pichu' is a girl. This one right here is a guy, since you called it 'he.' And second...don't break our streak of keeping the fourth wall intact again." Brandon said to his sister. "Aww man...fine, we'll let our injured Brianna name it." Brianna replied. "Injured? Wait a minute, what-" Brandon got out for a moment. "-Long story...that's not long at all, but whatever. Just don't ask." Brianna said back.

Brianna approached the Pichu, Mikayla looked quite PO'ed at both her and Idina, but kept quiet this time. "I think I'll name him Snow. Both after the weather phenomena and that guy who sung the song 'Informer'". Snow looked up at the Electivire that he'd run to before. Idina looked back at him, but stood still. The Sentret reached out for the Pichu, wanting to play despite injury.
"It looks like Idina is the best Pokemon mother in the world", Brianna commented. Mikayla was offended ands started growling again.
"The Sentret is a boy as well, I'll call him O'Hara. I like that name", DJ said.
It was already night, and Frank was out. He walked to the others, his prized Delcatty following him, carrying an empty blood bag. Frank's Delcatty was used to robbing blood banks without even leaving a slight bit of evidence a crime had been committed. Besides, who'd yell at a Delcatty, even in these circumstances.
"Hey guys!" Frank said.

"The heck is that bag for? You know what, never mind. So, Snow it is, then?" Brianna said. "Apparently...say, sis, can I ask you something?" Brandon replied. "Shoot." Brianna answered. "While I was training with Twili before...I just froze up when I had the perfect opportunity to attack. I nearly lost our duel before, but Twili noticed it and cut it short. Any idea why I could've done that?" Brandon asked. "He even said he was too worried about me...more than any of his other friends, if that helps clear things up." Twili added. Brianna thought about it for a moment before coming up with an answer. ((The following segment and some of its lines were directly inspired by this totally-not-edited-together Tales of Vesperia style skit: )) "Come on, you're REALLY not sure why?" Brianna asked before telling her answer. "I'm sure! I have no clue what feeling I'd have to not even be able to have a training fight with her!" Brandon exclaimed. "Brandon, it's better to come clean. That way, I could help you out a bit more." Brianna teased. "Sis, quit fooling around and tell me!" Brandon begged. "Oh come on, it's obvious!" Brianna replied. "Brianna...if you know why, just say it." Twili said back. If you insist...but, you asked for it. "Love." Brianna simply answered, surprising Brandon and Twili. Brandon and Twili glanced back and forth between each other and random parts of the surrounding area. "You see, we...um...have a very important...um..." Brandon stammered while Twili hesitated in saying "Well, but I...but, I-I-I didn't...um, y'know..." "Love. Love. Love." Brianna kept repeating, annoying Brandon. "Oh, will you just shut up!?" Brandon said before failing at punching at Brianna's shoulder, to which she happily side-stepped. "Uh...well...Brandon? Do you...really...?" Twili stammered again, to which Brandon immediately turned to face her. "Well...er...I-I guess...th-that could explain it." Brandon replied. The two merely stared at each other for a little while from the awkwardness the scene just now gave.

Brianna sighed, she felt lonely as ever now. Never did she feel this alone before, couples or any admittance of love from one to another always made her feel like this. Especially when DJ was around. She loved him, unquestionably. However, he couldn't love her back the way she wanted. The way she needed.
What came to her mind was a quote from Great Expectations where Estelle explained that she had no heart. In the literal sense she did, but not the figurative. Brianna felt the same way, she might as well. Idina sensed Brianna's plight and put a hand on her shoulder.
"Elec...Vire-elec (Translation: It'll be okay)".
"I'm looking for a place to dispose of this bag. Temperance can't hold it forever", Frank said. Then he got an idea. He made a small fire and burned it. It'd have the added benefit of heat.
"Thanks, Idina", Snow leaped into Brianna's arms and nuzzled her. It was hard not to crack a smile at that. Of course, the love of Pokemon was no substitute for the love of a human, but she'd not said anything about that.
Joshua the Umbreon bolted from the brush and hid behind Brianna. Something was wrong. An Electabuzz was chasing after him. Idina seemed to recognize her, and wanted to stay away. Lorena was chasing after the Electabuzz with a Pokeball. She was trying to catch it.
"Come back, Darla!" Lorena was going to call the Electabuzz "Darla". Darla stopped dead in her tracks when her eyes met Idina's. She seemed to scowl. If Idina wasn't evolved, it'd be obvious why they recognized each other. They were sisters. Twins. Darla hadn't evolved by virtue that she wasn't too keen on changing. She was the opposite of Idina; willing to pick fights. The sinister twin, so to speak.
Lorena tossed the Pokeball at the angered Electabuzz, managing to catch it. Joshua jumped onto Brianna's shoulder, somewhat weighing her down. He was glad the ordeal was over. However, it was sure to scar him.
"Lorena, don't let that thing out of the ball".
