Welp, it is finnaly here: the final movie of this overblown, overdrawn, over lived franchise.
Post reviews, reactions, whatever that happened regarding the final film. These can even be your own reactions.
If you want to spoiler, do so. If you don't want to be surprised (god bless your soul if you even think about braving this own your own), then be wary of spoilers.
So let us see

Considering I barely have time to go see movies as it is, I won't be seeing this. However, I am curious to see how much of the unfortunate implications in Nessie's relationship with Jacob are still present and what this "changed ending" is. From what I heard, they toned down the aforementioned implications in BDP1.

^Are you serious? That's the ending? *RAGES* I hate that bullshit! Are you seriously saying that we finally get a huge battle that looks awesome and has damage done to both sides, is in fact all a dream that Alice is telling the Volturi will happen if they fight? And the Volturi still do that exact same thing they do in the book. LEAVE. I'm fucking done. He actually makes me want to watch the movie, but I'm not shelling out one god damn dollar or waste fuel to go to a movie theater to see. My people will hook me up with a bootleg copy.

^I could have sworn someone here called that being the ending... Oh, yes. It's just a dream. The ultimate cop-out ending. I'm surprised to see a movie in 2012 pull that- I thought it was dead.

^At least in the book you were already disappointed, so by the end it wasn't a big surprise that nothing happened. But the movie is another thing all together. It's like that episode of Family Guy when Stewie finally kills Lois on that cruise ship and in the end it turns out to be a simulation of what would happen if Stewie actually killed Lois. It's the biggest FUCK YOU to everybody that watches. This also hilariously explains what happens in the movie.

^ At least in the Family Guy case, it was a comedy show, so we're not supposed to take it too seriously anyway.
Here? We're supposed to fear for the well-being of the characters (if they were likeable, anyway). When you pull something like this, it's hard to feel suspenseful anymore due to just assuming, "Oh, they'll just end up fine anyway."

^ True, but I know in the books your suppose to have some empathy for their plight. But by this point in the saga do we really care anymore what happens to them, besides the hope that Edward burns in a pit of burning feces.

We already knew about them actually showing the "battle that could have been" as an attempt to add SOME action. How is that a twist ending? They announced it a year ago. It's hardly a surprise.

^ Edward: You can be with our daughter on one condition: keep your shirt on. Jacob: NO! *storms off*
@chaotic - I didn't know that. All I knew was that they had a surprise twist at the end.

^In one of the interviews they did early on, they said they were going to add the action scene to the final battle as a "dream/how it could have happened" bit. It was mentioned on this forum. Someone said how Antis would likely stop the movie at that point and consider it the ending.

For a while there it looked as if (according to rottentomatoes) BDp2 was going to be the first and only fresh instalment of the series, but as the first couple of days passed by it slowly but surely crept down below the 60% mark and is currently resting on 51% with only two more positive reviews than there are negative ones. The second best movies are Eclipse and Twilight, both with a 49% rating. There's still a possibility that the rating on BDp2 will sink even lower as it's only been out a few days. There are even some reviews that say it's the worst so film so far.
There are a lot of reviews that say the faux-fight is like a big FU to the fans of the series. Although I'm pretty sure most fans would take anything over nothing, you can't ignore that the battle wasn't real. Again the characters never had to suffer through anything, they just stood there and all the badassery the audience just watched, it never happened.

Translated headlines with lead paragraphs from Norway:
Aftenposten: Hot vampire sex - and the most cowardly ending ever Even if the fanbase is large, it would hurt making a good movie. The fans deserves better. 2/6
Nettavisen: Anemic anticlimax The «Twilight» saga boils into a soup of nothing brewed on half a fang. 2/6
Dagbladet: Red and black «The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn Part II» seems cheaper than it is. 3/6
Dagsavisen: Last gleam of dusk We're finally here! «Twilight’s Last Gleaming» if you'd like. 3/6 (note: «Twilight’s Last Gleaming» is originally in English)
Bergens Tidende: End of the song The last «Twilight» movie is a pure mess. 3/6 (Note: Headline involves a proverb)
VG: Vampire in the sunset The last is actually the best. 3/6
NRK P3: The fans will not be disappointed! 4/6 (no lead)
Stavanger Aftenblad: Next up: Twilight the Lego Game This is what you call a bonus level in a game. The only thing left is a lego game. 5/6
Filmmagasinet: Sense - Sensibility: 0-1 5/6 (no lead)
And a couple of 4/6 that required a subscription.

This fight was not in the BOOOOOOK!" Of course they do. *facepalm* On a happier note, BDp2's rating is now below that of Twilight and Eclipse with 48% on rottentomatoes. As it stands Eclipse is rated marginally better than Twilight, BDp2 is in third place, New Moon on fourth with 28%, and BDp1 has the honour of being the worst rated film of the "saga" with a mere 24 %.

spoonyexperiment.com/Seems like Spoony and April had a good time when they watched Breaking Spawn part 2. So is it worth to watch this movie only for gay Aro / good laugh / when you are drunk?

There've been rumors about it, but nothing very solid.

I know Doug is going in a new direction, but I'm still hoping he'll do a Bum Reviews for this film.

I somehow doubt there will be another adaptation/sequel/spin-off/dance craze/cereal/perfume brand, or at least one nearly as successful as the original thing. Twilight's become the butt of many jokes now, and those who still like the series would most likely complain that the new installment wouldn't be like the old series.

Oh god, where to begin with this movie??? It was horrible and confusing! The acting hasn't gotten any better! For example, when Bella is supposed to be mad at Jacob for imprinting on Reneesme, it sounds like she's being forced to say it or like she's trying to hold it in (if you know what I mean), and she doesn't sound mad at all! Another thing, the CGI on Reneesme.. God! That was horrible! It creeped the living hell out of me! The moment that came on screen, I told my roommate: "That's it, I'm done with this movie!!" The pace of this movie is just horrible, especially when introducing the vampires that are witnesses. For someone who hasn't read Breaking Dawn except skim through it, I was going "Who's that? When are they going to talk??" They were basically extras in the movie rather than characters. And the ending sort of pissed me off. When it came on, I was "Yes! Finally some action!" and I cheered on like one would do at a football game. And then, it turns out to be a vision of Alice's and everyone just cheered in the movie theater that I was in while I was going "WTF??!!!" I believer that I was the only one who was disappointed that vampires didn't die! Also, when Jacob says "Should I call you dad now?" I just stayed quiet while everyone else laughed! How is that funny??!!! It's creepy and disturbing! There is more to what I think of this movie, but it would take too long... The only thing I liked was Garrett, he wasn't that bad...
Oh and one last thing.. The fight at the end was not a twist, it was mentioned in the last book in where Edward is explaining that Alice gave Aro a reason not to fight the Cullens. This is the same thing that happened in Eclipse with the newborn fight and chasing after Victoria, it was mentioned, but not shown, or written out.

I didn't see Breaking Dawn Part 2. But my mom did. She said it was good and she was (and the rest of the audience she said) were actually surprised by the "twist" ending. Just WTF.

^ Did you ask if she'd read the book? 'cause the only "twist" was that they actually kept the ending from the book.

...then why'd she call it a "twist ending"?
