Maybe you should ask. >.>
'cause if the only twist is that they didn't change anything, it's not really a twist.

^ She said she hasn't read the books in a while. Neither have I, but it's rather difficult to forget an ending that horribly lackluster. I mean, when a hack rounds out a series by using one cop-out after another, resulting in an unearned "happily ever after," it kinda sticks with you. Especially when the reaction of the protagonist to having a former romantic interest telling you that he wants to bang your newborn in about seven years or so is, "Take her and raise her."

Honestly, these people don't know what a twist ending is.
A twist ending would be Jacob saying "f this!" and running off with Leah. A twist ending would be having the Volturi back off because they recognize Charlie as a hunter and realize they just threatened the man's daughter twice now. A twist ending would have the entire thing be revealed to be nothing more than a deluded fantasy of Bella's. Strange, because I normally hate that ending, but I would actually welcome it in this case.
TELLING us that they're going to show the actual not-fight as it would appear to Aro and calling it a "twist ending" is NOT a twist ending!

^ Know what'd have been an even better twist?
All of this was going on in Bella's mind as she was in a coma, slowly dying, because Tyler's van had actually hit her.

^They butchered Charlie the way Eclipse originally did.
"Hey, dad! Go on a fishing trip and mysteriously disappear to never be seen again." "Kay."
Also, I read the review.
Poor thing.

There is something that Spoony said in his review that struck me. I wasn't really able to actually pinpoint what it was that bothered me a lot about the ending of BD until he said it. When I read the ending, and again when I saw the movie, it always annoys me how unimportant Bella actually is in her own story, but I didn't realise that BDp2 is actually Alice's story more than any other character.
Aro was always after her because of her powers, and she knew that. Rennenesemene was just an excuse to destroy the Cullens so he could go after Alice. Plus she is the one who finds that other half-vamp and brings him to Forks. If you watch the movie this is all the more obvious at the end. Bella is more or less just a bystander, and even in the epic battle that never happened, Alice is more of a badass than anyone else. There is a part where she takes down Jane after Jasper is killed, and I thought that was really cool. But my point is, that in the end Alice is the one who saves the day, not Bella, and she's hardly even in the last part of the story.

That's pretty weird. I know Meyer didn't mean to, but I guess it was all for the sake of getting a happy ending. Alice being the infallible savior guarantees it. Nyeh.

^ Except that her power becomes unfunctional/untrustworthy when Meyerwolves are around, according to New Moon. Which means no one should have paid her "vision" in BD any heed because of how many Meyerwolves were around.

^And the fact that she shouldn't have been able to see Nessie, either, but was fully able to show a vision of both her AND Jacob running away in the battle.
But yeah, now that I think about it, even in the final fight vision, wasn't Bella still just kinda....standing around doing nothing?

In the movie, she did a bit of fighting, from the clips I saw. ...but what they showed was fighting that would have been well beyond her capacity, what with her lack of training and experience.

Ohhh, so Meyer did see how badly screwed her vampires would be if Alice didn't break logic just then. That or she forgot.

Well, she did "ignore" other things previously said. Like the whole "Meyerpires can't reproduce" thing.

^That made me think of how Doug mentioned in his review that even the fans laughed at the "twist."
I guess even fans are starting to realize how awful the book's ending was. Yeah, it's escapism and not supposed to be a masterpiece, but all build-up and no pay-off makes a bad story.

There've been rumors about it, but nothing very solid. Okay. But if they ever did go for it, how would they pull it off? I mean there is barely anything else for the characters to talk about. If they ever try and make a tv series, they will either make up a story, (Which won't sound very Twilight. I guess), They're just going to focus on Edward and bella. (Which is pretty much what the movies and the books were about.). Or they'll focus on Jacob and Nessie's *Shivers* relationship. God. I seriously need to stop Thinking of the worst... >.>

I think that's why there's been yet to be a solid announcement.
There's nothing they can do that would keep the same audience coming back because it's been already stated plainly that the "story" of Bella and Edward, such as it was, is finished.

Good news. It is now December 11 and according to movies.com, the Box Office is as follows: 1. Skyfall $11.0M 2. Rise of the Guardians $10.5M 3. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 $9.2M 4. Lincoln $9.1M 5. Life of Pi $8.3M 6. Playing for Keeps $6.0M 7. Wreck-It Ralph $4.9M 8. Red Dawn $4.2M 9. Flight $3.1M 10. Killing Them Softly $2.7M
Wow, I thought I remembered Part 1 staying at Number 1 for quite some time. It's also pretty good that Skyfall is getting the recognition it deserves. Also, it seems that Rise of Guardians is rising in popularity now, seeing as a lot of people were thinking this was underrated.
And yay! Wreck it Ralph is still getting money too. I wanna see that one

I wanna see that one Rise of the Guardians looks pretty cool (seriously Jack Frost is a total Bishie and the Easter Bunny looks to be a total BAMF what's not ot like XD) and Skyfall is a James Bond Movie of course it's going to be recognized kinda funny how pt 2 seems to not be making as much as I'd thought it did... I guess the fad is already dead...

The Volturi should have won since all they had to do was do in Bella.
