This should be rather easy to figure out: it’s an RPG based on the Ace Attorney games.
A silly game franchise about murder cases. Since I’m pretty sure that all of you are at least somewhat familiar with the series, I won’t need to go into extreme detail.
The system for game play is rather simple- the thread is the investigation and other non-court portion of game. Each player rolls a character (except for the defense attorney player, as they’re one of few consistent characters) who acts as one of the roles in the case (accused, the actual killer, the witness(es), etc.) Together with player of the case’s prosecutor and the judge, they form the session’s case- from alibis to locations to evidence and the details in between. For obvious reasons, the defense player will be kept in the dark beyond the opening of the case.
The defense will have to go from location to location to gather clues to prove their client is not guilty.
The case in court will be done in a Chatzy, to replicate the fast moving gameplay of court sequences. This will be done to keep the defense attorney player on his toes, again to replicate the source material. The defense player will have room to make five mistakes before the case is declared ‘guilty’. Abilities in court will be Press (used by doing ‘/me HOLD IT!’)- used to request more details on that portion of the alibi (leading to possible updates) and Object ('/me OBJECTION!')- used to point out a hole in the alibi for the defense by either pointing out a conflict with a previous statement or presenting the evidence that conflicts with the statement, or in the prosecution’s case to challenge the evidence or rationalizing the conflicting statements.
Evidence and the profiles will be kept in that case’s post in the OOC thread as the are found, for the sake of simplicity.
