The morning of March 24th started like any other, in New York City. Life, for lack of a better term, was normal; people on their way to work, kids on their way to school, and the rest of the eight million of us went about our daily routines, unaware of what was to come.
At 10:32, the world fell silent. Birds stopped singing and disappeared from the air. Conversations ended abruptly and car horns were silenced. All movement seemed to cease and time skidded to a halt, and all eyes were drawn to the eastern horizon.
The sun was blotted out by a massive silhouette, casting their shadow across the city. An enrapturing figurehead, like those from old naval ships, stationed sentinel on the skyline. Her very being glowed, intense light radiating down in flames to the water from a titanic halo. Her arms were outstretched, her eyes were shut - in any other situation she could have been a figure of peace. Smoke started to rise from ships caught under the fire cast down from the heavens. Panic set in, and her eyes opened.
For many, Abaddon’s eyes would be the last thing they were to see. Some were blinded by the sight, others became transfixed. Those who were able to pry themselves from the enchantments of the angel ran, pulling out cameras for pictures or ducking into buildings. No matter where they went, there was nowhere they could escape Abaddon’s wrath. The lifted her right hand.
The newscasters called the being that fell to earth the Collossus. Other people just called it the damn devil. It stood twelve stories high, a hulking, spindly corpse with massive jaws and agile hands. It dropped straight into the center of Times Square, decimating buildings and devouring people, leaving ruins like a bomb in its wake. It terrorized the city, though nobody can tell you exactly how long it was there for.
Both entities disappeared, though Abaddon’s outline is engraved on the horizon in the minds of every person who was there that day. Smaller monsters have appeared, less aggressive, roaming the city to scavenge and hunt for food like wild animals, ready to attack humans who get in their way. Riots have broken out, schools have been cancelled, people are afraid to even leave their homes in the wake of an apocalypse.
But society must march on, and people have jobs to do to keep themselves and their city safe and alive, though the possibility of a second attack is forever looming on the horizon.
(Just as an FYI: most of the story will be taking place with people who are from Greenwich village, just to keep us together)

BIO:
{Characters}NAME: April Anderson
AGE: 50
APPEARANCE:
OCCUPATION: Doctor
SKILLS: Medical practices and all that entails, she's also a pretty good cook and a very good writer.
BIO: April states that she had an ‘uneventful childhood,’ living with her mother and younger sister in Greenwich Village after her parents divorced when she was eight. She was a voracious reader and wrote often, winning several prizes throughout her school years for poems and short stories, all the money from which went into her college fund. She practiced medicine after graduating, and became a successful ER doctor by 32. She had many friends from college, work, and various other things, and had many different flings, but none of them stuck. By the time she was in her forties, she had decided she wanted to settle down and have a kid – it was just the whole ‘husband’ issue that she took a problem with. At 44, realizing she was at the tip of her prime, she finally got (artificially) pregnant, having her son in September. The attacks caught them by surprise, and she’s had to go out and save lives since, leaving her son at home with a babysitter. She’s scared for both of their safety, but she knows she has a duty to fulfill.
NAME: Ryan Anderson
AGE: 5
APPEARANCE: Stands about 3'0, pudgy with lots of baby fat still left, curly blonde hair, freckles and brown eyes.
OCCUPATION: Kindergarten student
SKILLS: Unbridled enthusiasm, inherited voracious reading from his mother
BIO: April’s only child, Ryan is filled with optimism, excitement and imagination like most children. He’s a little sickly, and sustained a massive injury during the first attack. He’s terrified his mother is going to get hurt while out doing her job, and hates being stuck inside and unable to even see what’s going on.
NAME: Andrew Dantes (played by Al)
AGE: 47
APPEARANCE: www.cinemablend.com/images/news_img/38475/idris_elba_38475.jpg
OCCUPATION: Police sergeant
SKILLS: Parkour, marksmanship, deductive reasoning, cooking
BIO: Andrew Dantes grew up in one of the rougher neighborhoods of Tacoma, a place rought with gang violence. He did, however, grow up with a right (albeit poor) family, who kept him in school and inspired him to be a cop. After meeting the love of his life, they moved to New York and he started in on the forces there, starting to raise a family. After the attacks, he's mostly focusing on keeping the peace and keeping his daughter, who still lives with him and isn't out at college like his son, safe.
NAME: Angel Dantes
AGE: 20
APPEARANCE: i.imgur.com/ocRKftL.png
OCCUPATION: College student, grocery store clerk
SKILLS: She has some aptitude with writing and drawing, and has been keeping an illustrated journal throughout the ordeal.
BIO: Angel is the younger child of Andrew Dantes, her and her brother’s mother dying when she was very young. Angel has always been very sheltered by her father and brother, especially as she has exhibited various ‘mental health issues’ since a young age. She’s always been very imaginative and creative, something that has luckily been nurtured. She’s rather shy, but can be extremely friendly after initially meeting another person. When the city was attacked, she repurposed a few of her college binders and sketchbooks to make a journal and document everything. However, her medication IS starting to run low, and that could be an issue for her.
NAME: Damien 'Stella' Harlow
AGE: 23
APPEARANCE: tektek.org/av/635882
OCCUPATION: Telemarketer in a calling center, at least during the day.
SKILLS: Karate and other methods of self-defence, fencing, and various entertainment skills.
BIO: Damien grew up with his doting grandparents in Greenwich Village. He never knew his parents, but his grandparents really did make up for all that, being amazing parents to him. They didn't have a WHOLE lot of money, but whatever was spare went to helping him - whether it be ballet, piano lessons or, in his later teens, self-defense classes. They were also extremely supportive of him with whatever he wanted to do, up to and including his coming out into the drag scene. He got a job once he graduated highschool, trying to save up some money on his own to get to an arts college in his near future, all the while performing at different nightclubs as 'Stella Harlow.' When the attacks happened she was leaving her boyfriend's house after a night out at the clubs, and thus got caught up while still in drag.
