Introduction
Persona is a series that has varied from game to game, but we're going to be using traits from P3 and P4 here. Anyway - the gist of it is this: you're a normal teenager who goes to normal high school who lives a normal life.
Until murders start happening.
[cue funky mystery music]
You're inducted into a group of people just like you, and revealed that you can summon mythological creatures, known commonly as 'Personas', that you summon by shooting yourself in the head with a special gun (P3)/just raising a card (P4) (we'll likely be going with P3's, simply because it's darker.) and you have to fight 'shadows'.
Of course, that's only half of it. You've also got normal teenage high school, murders to solve, and social links (i.e. friendships and THE POWER OF TEAMWORK) to work on. Plus, there's the mysterious Velvet Room...but hey, we'll get to that later.
Plot
Welcome to Aimsworth Academy, located in the South Bronx. Aimsworth is often considered the academy where they send lost-cause students to waste away their years in poverty and classlessness. The teachers could care less, and the students are just as apathetic as a result. Freshmen are usually optimistic, and that optimism is washed away by the senior year (just like normal highschool, natch).
The only bead of hope that the school has is the after-school activities - most notably, the Library Club. After-school activities are required, and almost no one wanted to join that one, settling for sports and the like instead. Eventually, it was repurposed (secretly) into a base for Persona Users. Those who can stay awake during the Midnight Hour - the time when all the normal humans, asleep, turn into coffins - and eliminate shadows by fighting their own inner demons, and prevent murders from occurring.
That doesn't stop them from having to check books occasionally, but hey. Better than basketball.
You'll be playing the members of the Library Club.

Name: Amelia 'Maria' Erikson
Age: 17
Year: Senior
Gender: Female
Appearance: (Picture or description) Maria stands at roughly 6'1, making her fairly tall, however, she usually is in a wheelchair, leaving her looking quite smaller than she is. She is african-american, blonde hair cut into a bob, and bright blue eyes. She usually is in a red-plaid skirt with a white button up shirt, and she wears a butterfly hair clip in her hair that her mother gave her. She prefers to go barefoot when standing, despite the fact that she's often done this and ended up falling over and skinning her knees.
Personality: Maria was naturally born humble, along with naturally being born blind. She's intelligent and has a sweet nature, but perhaps a bit too forgiving and a bit too frail. She's had health problems all along her life, leaving her quite frail and unable to be counted on entirely, though she loathes the thought of being useless. She has a natural inclination towards sound, making her greatest joy being playing the violin - however, she's quite shy and refuses to play it in front of others. She is the youngest of 3 siblings, having two older sisters.
Arcana: Star
Starting Persona: Iris
Likes: classical music, fantasy stories, English class, parrots, ballet
Dislikes: math class, being looked down upon, being treated differently, crocodiles, coconut cake
Extra: She comes from a rich family that donates to the school regularly; she has 2 older sisters (Christie and Ophelia); she has been blind since birth; her desire to join the library club came from her mother's tradition of reading stories to her aloud when she was younger
