The youngest gave a high-pitched scream at the sudden calamity, shielding his face and hiding somewhere in the group. There was a 'holy FUCK' from Johanna, who nearly dropped the book, backing up against the wall, and Angel jumped, covering her face before looking to the man, patting the youngest on the back.
"...Was that necessary?" She asked, addressing the new man. He seemed to fit in enough in place like this, though why they hadn't met left a strange thought buzzing in her mind.

Natalie stood quiet for a moment, before bursting out laughing. "That was intense!" She grinned, looking the flamboyant chap up and down. "Nice entrance, nut job."
The crashing and shattering brought Mary running from the infirmary. It was far too early for that to have been anything but bad. "Please, don't move them, if they're injured! It might damage them, fur...ther." Mary stopped, sighing, raising an eyebrow and trying not to smile as she saw who had caused the racket. "You, are late. Fancy making all this mess, and showing up late." She tutted slightly, though a fond smile played on the corner of her lip. "Bad form, sir. Bad form.'

Shrieking Melody wrapped herself around Aurora a growling Aurora "What the fuck?" she asked narrowing her eyes at the man who had decided to join them with such theatrics.

Byron looked down at his captive, unwitting audience. Ah. Children. Certainly had been awhile, hadn't it...
To the one who inquired of him if his actions were necessary, he guffawed, doing his best not to come off as condescending. It wasn't nearly as effective as he thought.
"Well, surely I couldn't swing from a chandelier outside, could I?" he gave her a pat on the head. "Think it through next time, hm?"
Byron beamed as he bounded to meet Mary, smile wide and charismatic as ever. "My dear Doctor Godwin! It's been far too long, enchanté," he gave her a quick peck on the hand. Hopefully, she wouldn't slap him away this time. "You must tell me what I've missed out on, what with all this..."
Byron gestured extravagantly back at the group of young teens. His smile wavered a bit as he looked for the most diplomatic option.
"... young company, and such."

"A discussion for the staff lounge, I think, dear." Mary smiled at him, with a slight sigh. "After breakfast, perhaps you can oversee the children in the clean-up of the chandelier, too?" The glass had scattered across the floor- it would be a long job, no doubt, but it would occupy them all in one place this morning. "After all, we can't very well leave that mess there."

"Nevermore!" Croaked the raven as Poe lay there, still wearing the clothing from the night prior. His tie was loose and hung at his neck like a noose, and his attire was disheveled and dirty.
One bloodshot eye glanced at the floor, noticing the sun was coming in through the window. He rolled so that the light wouldn't hit him, letting his empty flash clatter onto the hard floor that he had apparently slept on. He had a vague memory of reclining on a couch, but apparently he had fallen off of it. He had a vague thought that he wanted to be behind the couch about now, but it would be too much work to get there from here.
Nope. He was too hung over to deal with this, and his body was screaming in pain already. The nightmares... had been expected. They had been blunted. He didn't even consider the breakfast. If the others were ignoring their duties, why should he manage his? Drinking himself back into oblivion seemed the best idea. But for now, just sleeping in would do.

Rolling her eyes at the new comer Melody stood up and stretched her back out sliding her boots on and slinging her bag over her shoulder she smiled "As fun as this has been" she said gesturing towards the man and the mess that surrounded them "I could use some uh...fresh air" she smiled and headed for the door.

It took a few moments after Mary came rushing in that Jane followed her from the same direction, sprinting and still buttoning up her blouse - only to come skidding to a halt and calm down as she saw the cause of the commotion.
"My, you know how to make an entrance, don't you?" She snickered, before heading over to the group of kids to make certain they were alright. "Scare the poor things half to death."
Melody would however find herself blocked inside by the door swinging open, de Sade marching in, no doubt with some sort of plan in mind - until he saw the man in the middle of the room, and stopped. Gears seemed to shift several ways behind his eyes, settling on nonchalantly sweeping his jacket back, fists poised on his hips.
"You're back, I see."

"Indeed, our dear Byron is back." Mary made a point of pecking him on the cheek and taking the man's arm with a smile, as de Sade stood there. "I was going to suggest he oversaw the clean-up here, but as you're here, de Sade, perhaps you could. Byron, I'm sure, would appreciate the brief respite in the staff lounge."

Byron looked back to the smashed wreckage of the once-ornate light fixture for a brief moment, his eyes tinged with... wait, no, not regret, just a nonchalant stare, at best. "Right, about that... ah, Alphonse, good man, so wonderful to see you again!"
Glad the towering terror of a man had supplied a means to evade an increasingly inescapable situation of adult responsibility, Byron shot a winning smile and salute to De Sade, taking care not to approach too close to him. He took Mary's kiss in stride - such a long-awaited grace upon his cheek - and winked to the woman upon his arm.
"Considerably, my dear," he replied with a mixture of great confidence and even greater relief. "the lounge it is!"

"Yes, the lounge - let's." Jane sensed conflict as soon as Mary's lips met Byron's cheek. So, of course, she hurried them along.
The man watched them leave, falling silent and still, his eyes big and blank. He stayed that way for an unnerving amount of time before his hands balled into fists, and his demeanor changed back to brooding anger, stomping back over to start cleaning up.
Ryan quickly ducked behind Angel, keeping his head down and trying to stay away from the man as he went to work. Angel meanwhile went over to start helping, and Johanna quickly handed the book back to Melody.

Grunting under her breath when De Sade intercepted her attempt to escape. Glancing back and forth between the adults feeling the tension in the air ripple like waves she stuffed the book into her bag and picked Aurora up setting her in her bag. "Stay, don't need you getting stuck with glass" she whispered setting the bag aside.
Joining the others to help clean up Melody stuck close to Ryan and put a soft hand on him smiling a bit. Glancing at De Sade remembering how close she was to finishing her pack of smokes, and he was the only person that could help her get more.

The albino girl gave a startled yelp as the Lord Byron made his daring entrance, staying silent in confusion as the man was led out of the room. She wanted to clap at the entrance, but that would've been nothing but improper at the current time.
She sighed at the realization of having to help clean, trying to brush together some of the shattered glass with the heel of her shoe.

The brooding man sped through, surveying the damage before turning sharply to the kids. Ryan glanced up to Melody as her hand went to his shoulder, giving a soft smile.
"Brooms," he growled, voice still simple and heavy anger still beating down his face, "Shed. Go."

Eulalia sighed, looking up at the man. "Yes, Signor de Sade." She mumbled, looking over to Johanna as she started walking off, her pace hesitant and slow.

The man straightened up, somewhat validated by the albino's use of his name, heading further into the room. Angel scanned across the other kids, holding out her arms to grab them all in a catch-all, starting forward.
"Let's go."

Natalie ambled along with the others, grinning. "I like him."
"So, why so late this time, dear Byron?" Mary walked at his side towards the staff lounge, still smiling across at him. "You've been sorely missed, you practically double the amount of tolerable company in the building these days."

"So, why so late this time, dear Byron?" Mary walked at his side towards the staff lounge, still smiling across at him. "You've been sorely missed, you practically double the amount of tolerable company in the building these days." Byron's smiled never wavered. He was an excellent bluff. "Ah, well, my dearest Doctor, there was simply so much to see, beyond the confines of this dreary house. So much adventure to be had! What had been a mere milk run on our good friend Alphonse's behalf quickly became something far more... intriguing. If that's the word for it." On the subject of said tolerable company, Byron looked to Mary, his bragging and boasting cut to a less abrasive tone. "On the subject of our company... why, it's been ages, hasn't it? And so young, my word..."
