Oh geez! I actually first started watching this guy because of his Bum Reviews. Anybody remember his Twilight review?
Bella: I think I'm tortured, but I'm just pretentious!
James: I smell pretentiousness! *Points* She's THAT WAY!

Now that I've finished the Sequel Month videos, I have to say- surpirsingly- the Neverending Story 3 review made me laugh the hardest. When I first saw the list he was going to review, I expected NIMH 2 to be the funniest and could have cared less about NS3 compared to the others. But, it had me in stitches! The others made me laugh too, but NS3 took the cake. It was a ridiculously, hilariously bad film. Ferngully 2 and Care Bears 2 were just sort of meh. NIMH 2 was pretty neatly summed up in the commentary- the first two acts weren't terrible but still bad, and the third act was so over-the-top insane it was a riot.
I have to say, though, after seeing the NIMH 2 review in particular, Doug is a pretty good voice actor.

^He really is. I actually enjoyed sequel month, for all the horrors it caused. My favorite line of anything had to be the Twilight reference in Care Bears 2, though. When the girl asks if riding on the back of the evil guy in wolf form wasn't a lot like Twilight and he cuts her off saying that they're butch compared to that crap. Win.
And sadly, his explanation for the plot twist in NIMH 2 actually made the most sense for what they did.

I have to admit, I like Dark Heart. Maybe it's because I saw Carebears when I was really little (I did not know about the TV series or that this was a sequel), and always wanted to see it again. Basically, for Dark Heart. Or should I say *evil voice* Daaarrkk Heaarrtt. I always just thought he was a cool villain. Aside from that though, the movie blows chunks. Happy, rainbow colored, care filled, chunks.
I wonder what Doug is doing next, the new NC has yet to be put up. Oh well, I guess it'll be a suprise tonight.

It was almost "cute" for the whole "girl meets bad guy and helps him reform" sort of plot. Kinda campy, especially with the bears. Though none of it is ever explained, like WHY they were sailing on a boat in the middle of the ocean, what the deal was with the giant non-denominational star god, and why...*sigh* Daaarrrk Heaaarrrt hated the bears and wanted to kill them...wait, DID he even want to kill them? What did he want to do? Eat them, kill them, just lock them up...what? What was his motivation here?
But yeah. I did kind of like him, but for the supposed greatest evil...he was honestly kinda lame.

I haven't seen the movie in its entirety and didn't grow up with Care Bears, but I kind of liked Daaarrkk Heaarrtt too. I'm a sucker for more dorky villains, though.

Dunno if there will be an episode.
According to his commentaries (which are ALSO awesome), he's been trying towork on DVDs and hasn't had time to do much of anything else.
If we can't get an episode, I hope we get a commentary then for Carebears 2

I'll be happy with a commentary. And maybe this time I will convince my mum to let me buy the DVD (can you still buy the first one?)
And I like how everyone has jumped the wagon on calling him Daaarrkk Heaarrtt[/b]. It feels very Terry Pratchett. And I cannot look at the name that way without hearing the evil voice as I read it.

His review of Dungeons and Dragons is out.
Jeremy Irons and Bruce Payne as bad guys...the idea is kind of hard to take seriously, especially after seeing Payne in Highlander: Endgame.

I have to say, I love how he introduced the video. When he said we were in for a treat, I didn't know if he was being sarcastic and that it would be downright terrible or if he meant it was so bad it's funny. Fortunately, it's the latter.
I am kind of disappointed that he didn't pronounce Dark Heart's name DAAAAARK HEEEEEART in his cameo, but other than that, it was fun. Yikes, this movie had some hammy acting.

The Top 11 Dumbest Spider-Man Moments is out. Well, I think most of you guys can figure which moments made the list.

I haven't seen the Dumbest Spider-Man Moments video, but I've seen the Dungeons and Dragons one.
I think Jeremy Irons in that movie was the best part of the whole thing. I also loved the Underacting vs. Overacting bit. Lulz.

I LOVED his new commercials review, so much better than the first one! I misheard the "Johnson" ad at first, so I thought the line was: "Do your girl and you're Johnson." So, I thought it was about how to be like someone called Johnson and it was even dirtier than it already sounded! And the Wonderboner ad...how has this not been noticed by Cracked or some other internet humour site? This is just epic. How they got away with that at the time was astonishing. I mean, what if kids heard that ad and started using the phrase at school? I think "The 'No Bones' Fish Gutter," would have been a far better name. Just goes to show ads were full of innuendo earlier than we thought.
By the way, does anyone know where he's posting his review schedule (if he is at all)? The last time he updated it was for sequel month but nothing since. Does anyone know?

He mentioned on his Facebook that he stopped putting review schedules out. Mainly so people were "Surprised".
Personally I think it's so he doesn't get internet backlash before the review is out.

I only found the Nostalgia Critic's old videos earlier this week and every one I've watched so far has had me in stitches. Is he still reviewing on thatguywiththeglasses.com?

He's going after Airborne. That movie is just one big cheesefest of 90s cliches.
