Well, I don't know. My mom said before that it might just be a phase. It was awhile ago though. Like in eighth grade. Yeah.

He obviously doesn't read comic books. All the proof one needs right there. He only reads Marvel ones, anything with Wolverine in it he joygasms over. Even if he did, I'd fail trying to make my point because my psuedo-sexism is reaaally overwhelming mostsometimes.

I dunno what I am, lol. Pretty sure I'm demisexual... maybe it's a little early to be deciding.

My point being that it shows exactly how much the world would improve if there was almost all women in it. Spoiler: It wouldn't change a damn thing because women would be just as bad at running the world as men are.

I don't know, man. The government is confusing and fucked up enough as it is, I don't think anyone could handle if it started fluctuating with PMS or something.
Wow, that sounded a lot funnier in my head. Fuck, I'm tired.

Actually, the way the government works (slow as fuck, which is exactly what the founding fathers wanted it to be), PMS wouldn't affect much of anything.

^You're probably right. The whole thing is all fucked to hell and back. I've always felt that there were good concepts, but they got skewed right from the start.

Random question that's probably really insanely stupid, but what's demisexual?

Demi-sexual, as I understand it, tends to be someone who only experiences sexual attraction in certain circumstances. I *believe* (correct me if I'm wrong) that the most usual form of demisexual is one who only becomes sexually attracted to someone once they know them.
Edit: The AVENwiki says: "A demisexual is a person who does not experience sexual attraction until they form a strong emotional connection with someone, often in a romantic relationship. The term demisexual comes from the orientation being "halfway between" sexual and asexual. Nevertheless, this term does not mean that demisexuals have an incomplete or half-sexuality, nor does it mean that sexual attraction without emotional connection is required for a complete sexuality. In general, demisexuals are not sexually attracted to anyone of any gender; however, when a demisexual is emotionally connected to (usually in love with) someone else, the demisexual experiences sexual attraction and desire to the same degree as a sexual person, but only towards the specific partner or partners. "

Fascinating thread. learnt a lot of definitions etc Re: "reasonable explanations" A lot of my friends are into hippie kinda new age-y stuff, whatever it's called. And they theorised that "if you were male in a past life, and gay female in this life this is why you are a lesbian/attracted to women as you're remembering your previous self" blah blah etc etc (and vice versa for guys) Nobody could answer me when I said "what about if you're attracted to males and females, though? What would that have made you in a past life?" (this is assuming people believe in past lives blah blah whole new discussion so I will shh now) Personally I'm errr... occasionally bi? Not sure. I've had crushes on men and women and find them equally attractive. But sometimes I go through phases of "I only like men/women" so it all depends, really. Is it normal to change that much :S And a point that made me venture into this thread instead of creating a new topic, I'd like to dump a small rant here, it really pisses me off when people use being bi as an excuse for cheating, or treat it differently. Err, can't find the right words so: for example, a couple were at a party. The guy (we'll call him C) saw his girlfriend (who is bi) kissing a girl. Now, if this was a guy I'm pretty sure C would've been raging, not "LET'S TAKE A PICTURE" and encouraging it. And when it's brought up "you're with C at the moment, I bet you wouldn't have kissed a guy in front of him" "no I wouldn't cheat on him but kissing girls is ok" Why is kissing girls not considered cheating but kissing another guy is? Just because you're bi doesn't mean you can make out with girls in front of your boyfriend! It's not like a special privilege or something, I see it all as equal, tbh. Kissing is kissing, doesn't matter about gender or whatever. Hope this makes sense!

^ I would call that cheating, unless the circumstances were special (like, the girls were in a play and stage directions called for kissing or something).

Swan, I agree 100% on that. People have pissed me off with shit like that, trying to coerce me into cheating and then trying to justify it by saying "But you're bi!" Yeah, and I'm ALSO practically married. So...fuck em'.

Bisexual =/= whore, it just means you're attracted to both sexes. I really don't like those girls who kiss other girls so guys can freak out about it. Attention whoring much?

^Exactly. Bah, what really pissed me off was a few years ago I was friends with a guy who was bisexual, and a friend with a guy who was uber-gay. And they started screwing around and making out, and I made the mistake of mentioning it to this insane bitch we knew who was all obsessed with gay guys. So, when she sees them together she flips shit and screams at them to make out, actually slaps the one guy because he won't kiss the other one. Fucking pisses me off.
And yeah, I hate telling people that I'm bisexual because I feel they're always going to assume I'm one of THOSE guys.

^Ikr? Ignorance spreads like a virus, I suppose.
I also hate it when someone finds out a girl is a lesbian/bi and they ask her to make out with other girls or they ask for a threesome. If someone asked me that (nobody would, but this is hypothetical), I'd smack them.

Isn't this incest?! Who looks at their twin/sister and thinks "ooh yeah I'd have a threesome with that" WHAT?!

Lesbian here! (As I'm sure some of you already know.) Last night was the first time that I ever went to a GSA meeting. We all had dinner at Chili's and introduced ourselves. I'm closeted, so being in a place where I could be 100% open about myself in public felt really good. My asexual aromantic best friend went with me, and I was dissapointed that she never said anything about herself other than that she's not gay. Oh, well. It's her decision who she tells.

Wouldn't it be weird to have sex with your twin?
I mean not only is it incest, but if they're identical you're looking at your own face. So wouldn't it kind of be like having sex with yourself...?
My head hurts.

Kinda reminds me of a question I've heard before. If you had a clone of yourself (probably the opposite sex), would you have sex with it? Since you're sort of having sex with yourself. Still a bit weird and creepy.

^ Reminds me of a science fiction short story I read once where the main character gets pregnant after a one-night stand with a stranger, gets a sex change after someone stole the baby, and later travels back in time and picks up a random chick in a bar only to find out that he has impregnated his former self and that his future self was the one who stole his past self's baby. He then travels further back in time and places the stolen baby in his parents' care, making the mother, father, and child all the same person.
It would've been an awesome story if only the author had realized that sex changes are purely cosmetic, and the woman wouldn't be able to sire children after undergoing the surgery. *facedesk*

^.... Dang, man. I think I want to read that short story.
Anyway, I feel silly, especially when I practically don't know how to define my orientation at my age. =_=; At first, I thought I was straight, then I found out that most of my crushes are female. I can't stand the thought of having sex with someone, though. So.... I suppose it make me bi-romantic prude. >_>
