((It's all right. Finals week happens. Mine's in a week, too. lovely corte- do you want Grave Digger to meet Hana too?)) Kenichi stood up. "You know, I wish your old man was here. I'd teach him a lesson." He said as he rocked on his ankles. " Oh really?" Sakura sneered as she adjusted Hana's ribbon. " Hey, you recovered quickly for all the whining." Hana purred as Sakura cuddled her. "Yeah I do." Sakura smirked and whipped out her cell phone.

((Whatever's good with you. xDS! D;S! ;/S!))
Grave Digger shifted, laying back. He started up at the ceiling. As weird as it was, he missed home. Even if home was a hole in the ground of an 8 story mall, cramped up with hundreds of other peoples.

Mitsutaka picked up his phone. "Hello?" "Father, it's me. Kenichi Akuma's at the Estate." "WHAT?!" Mitsutaka snarled.
Sakura held the phone at arm's length, not exactly prepared for the force of her father's reaction.

Mitsutaka put a hand over the phone. "This bastard Kenichi Akuma's at the house harassing Sakura." He told him. "I'm on my way." "How's Grave Digger doing?" "He's out of surgery now. When Matti gets back, he'll probably accelerate the healing." "Listen, if he needs you, stay with him." Mitsutaka put a hand over the phone again. "Grave Digger, will you be all right on your own?"

Mitsutaka nodded. "Get better soon." He went back on the phone. "Sakura, I'm on my way, hold on." He hung up, grabbed his cane and ran out of the room.
Sakura hung up the phone, smirking. Kenichi's eyes went wide. "I didn't think you'd call the old man." He sighed. "Guess I get to pay him back sooner than I thought." He grinned and flicked a switchblade. "Leave my father alone!" "Hey, if he's gonna come at me, I can't be held responsible for what I'm going to do to him." Kenichi shrugged, before he grabbed Sakura's right arm, squeezing tightly. Hana snarled and lunged. He moved, laughing as the kitty missed him and hit the wall. "Hana!" She tried to grab the cat. "We're going to talk right now before he gets here." Kenichi said as he pulled her away. Sakura started squirming, before she saw that she had her knife. She stabbed him in the arm, pushing the button as she did. Kenichi howled as Sakura scooped up Hana as the kitten was coming to and ran to her bedroom, locking the door and putting a few chairs in the way. She placed Hana gently on the bed and searched for another knife blade. The kitten mewed in disappointment. "I know. But you need to recuperate first."
Kenichi pried out the blade, before he went to chase after. A painter's palette hit him in the back, stunning him as the edge hit him with the intensity of a softball. Keiko stepped out, a stiletto paintbrush in her hand. "Lady, get out of the way. This doesn't concern you." He sighed, before an eyebrow raised. "I really would hate to have to wreck such a pretty face." "Are you really trying to hit on me after you attacked my daughter?" She groaned. "She got you good." She smirked when she saw the wound in his arm. "You're Sakura's mom? No wonder! Seriously, is everyone in this family a fox?"
Mitsutaka unlocked the door and slammed it open. He heard the voice and ran up the stairs.
"Seriously, you're a hot mom, even when you're frowning." Kenichi said as Keiko glared. "You know what else is hot?" Mitsutaka asked. "My foot when it's in your backside." With that, he kicked him in the butt. Hard. Kenichi howled. "Hello, Mr. Iwato. It's been a long time." He grinned as he rubbed his sore butt and grabbed his switchblade. "Kei-chan, go back in the studio, lock the door." Mitsutaka told her gently. Keiko did as she was instructed. "Aw, why did you send her away?" He pouted. "I don't want her to see what I'm going to do to you." With that, he drew the sword of the cane.
((See what else I did there? XD))

Sakura reloaded the knife and moved to the door. She moved the furniture away as she thought whether to help her father or stay with Hana or even to grab the other two kittens and take them to her room too. She heard someone fall down the stairs and quickly glimpsed over.

Matti curled up into a ball, wincing as an impact crater impacted around hims.
It was hard enough operating on someone without secondary detonations from the remains of tanks, causing shrapnel to impact around him. The man he was operating on coughed up blood, as a shrapenl piece embedded itself into his thighs and ankles. Matti turned, grabbed the metal pieces, wisps of gold slithering into the man's wounds, attempting to keep infections from reaching the man - metal pieces, the likes - and pulled, removing them. Blood splatter impacted his hand, before he went about continuing his shits.
Elliot, always one for offense, had regained his footing. He shuddered, tendrils tearing the flesh of his back open as he stretched out.
Wisps of smoke hissed around him, shedding light before he ran, jumped and warped. Between two loud, impacting noises, one from his original jump point, and from the secondary jump point, followed by wisps of smoke.
Tendrils dug into an earth element, chunks of rock tearing away, before he finally found solid rock to cling onto.

Scott elbowed away a stray monster. Its jaw caved in with the force of the blow.
He knelt down next to Mana - standing was beyond his overstrained legs now - and fired down on the other advancing monsters. He could hear, faintly, on his comms the frantic radio signals of numerous squads sent to retrieve and protect them.
Their reinforcements, it sounded, were getting torn apart. More incoherent screams and gunfire than status updates or navigational routes.
Meg turned away. Joker could handle himself, and Scott... well, he was fine for the moment. Her, on the other hand, had been backhanded into a pile of the creatures, who'd promptly mauled her. Before she managed to kill them, several needle-sharp points had pierced the nano-armor of the GCOD body suit, and she was feeling the brunt of the injuries now. She slumped against a rock, firing one-handed with a pistol at whoever got too close.
"I'm hurt." Her voice was unusually calm. "Need evac and reinforcements. Call CAS support if you must. Airstrike danger close."

Suddenly there was an explosion of fire that columned into space as something rose from the fire. It was five times the size of the other monsters, it's skin pitch black with molten fire seeping through the cracks in it's plated skin. It's face was that of a bull's skull with a mane made entirely out of fire like that of a lion's.
The Oldest Flame roared as he stomped on a mountain and surveyed the surviving humans. It suddenly roared and fire exploded out of it's cracks and engulfed the abomination.
It ignored all hits directed at it, and continued searching with it's charcoal eyes.

As Mitsutaka fell, he threw his sword behind him so he wouldn't accidentally poison himself. He got up, grabbed at his sword. Kenichi laughed and kicked it away. Mitsutaka clubbed him with the scabbard, making him howl before he tapped the bottom of his shoe. A small blade appeared and he kicked his opponent, making him howl before he grabbed his sword.
Sakura could only watch. She wanted to help her father, but she didn't know what she could do. She didn't want him to get hurt like Matti did.
-------------------------------------------------- A kid in a mask crawled through the tunnels below the wreckage to gather supplies. He heard the abomination and stopped moving.

Ana'tuul seethed. The denizens of this 'metaverse' had been busy, flaunting power and making a mockery of all. The Loa of Time had been foolish, focusing his attention on other matters, not even paying a glance to the state of things in this realm. And the beings had rewarded his negligence with anarchy, like any other unattended pack of children. Well, their delusions of grandeur would have to put to an end.
The hooded being, clothed in dark, shadow-like attire stood forward, shinning white eyes narrowing, illuminating his black skull. He looked down at his open hand, visualizing the weight of the infinite. For that was his power, and these mortal fools would soon come to know the folly of opposing the march of-...Arche. The insolence!
He raised both hands, and the ground beneath the largest creature blurred, heaving, changing. Strange streams of light raced across the sky, soaring towards the ground below the monster as Ana'tuul twisted his hands, guiding the forces under his command...
------
Ardent just gazed on at the chaos around him. It was all very boring. People were dying and horrows from beyond the veil of time and space were converging on them, which in all honesty was pretty routine. It was only when the black titan of a monster began to sink, it's feet being consumed by the ground. He actually gasped slightly when white stone churned up from the sinkhole now pulling the giant down, beginning to encase it- no, fuse into it's very skin. The giant of giants was being turned into one hell of a statue.

It took Seven a second for the surprise to settle in over him as he watched the events unfold before him. Giants were raining fire and brimstone over the land, and what was the reaction they garnered? What was the result of such catastrophe threatening to consume their lands? Not panic, not desparation or hate or gnashing of teeth as Seven had thought would befit such a situation. But courage. It was first the demon siblings, Elliot and Shino, who barreled into the fray head long. Then the GCOD was soon to follow. Then Mana himself. Watching the battle unfold was paralyzing itself. Seven's knees shook. All of a sudden it felt hopeless. No matter what they did, they couldn't win.
Wyatt and Shane stood forward, father and son, chanting in tandem. The two looked up together, thrusting their hands towards the giant hulking mass of a creature that loomed before them and a spire of lightning shot straight through the side of the creature's head, splattering black ichor and bile across the land before it as its great body began to shake and fall.
To his surprise, another creature fell similarly in the distance, impossibly huge licks of flame coming from the creature's body. A minagerie of signatures rose in the distance as the second brotherhood came to join the ranks of demons and non-mages alike, Victoria Vartle at the head, pressing forward with a light in her eyes reminiscent of Ratio himself.
Go you fool a voice urged Seven forward, Draw your sword and join them.
Seven hesitated. It's suicide. he thought, stepping back, Shino was right, those things are too large and too many. Even if we think to fight them we'll be killed.
Perhaps alone... the voice went on, But look at all that's been accomplished already. Any one of the tasks we've overcome could have once been counted as impossible. We've already broken near every rule in the book. The only time our true weaknesses shown were when we allowed ourselves to be torn by quarrels. Our faith and camaraderie here outweighs any odds one could throw at us. And even if we do fall, it would be better to die saying you fought till the bitter end, than to be picked off in the bitter cold after the last flag had been torn.
We're all going to die, Seven. Every single one of us does. It's up to you to make your life worth living. Seven's eyes turned towards the sky.
So tell me... is it worth it?
A cry escaped Seven's lips as he darted forward, drawing his sword, dodging between strikes. A razing spell glinted on the edge of his blades as he sliced through the hulking ankle of one of the golem beasts. The creature was felled with a roar. Another swipe and another fell. Seven was a blur, jumping from creature to creature with his entire body brimming with magic.
Shane in the mean time looked up into the sky after felling the first of his creatures. What appeared to be a meteor streaked across the sky. A little smile crossed his youthful face. Wish upon a shooting star.
He took Lucas's hand.
"That's the GCOD." he explained, "They don't really like magic things. They shot me in the head one time." he pointed to a large white scar that arced down the side of his head, "I got better though. Tyler brought me back."
He looked up again as another shooting star whizzed past.
"All I really want is for this war to end. I don't know what it's going to take, or if I'll even live to see it, but I just know I want to see it end." he glanced at Lucas, "but we'll keep you safe as long as we can, okay?"
All of a sudden there was another, and another. Shane's eyes went wide with shock. The sky was falling. His eyes widened.
"That's.. not a shooting star." he swallowed hard, "Is it?"
"Father!" he shouted, tugging Wyatt's cloaks. Wyatt ceased chanting upon noticing the sudden change.
"Ye merciful gods.." he nearly choked, "That's... that isn't good."
Grabbing Shane's hand and hauling Ardent to his feet Wyatt pulled the two along, looking to pull the two to safety. He stopped when he noticed a figure lying limply against a tree.
"M-meg?" Wyatt stammered. He stopped. He felt reservations in his heart still towards the GCOD, but deeper still, he remembered the camaraderie he and Meg had shared. He remembered that she'd saved his life. That he owed her many a time.
"Meg!" he shouted, slowly drawing near, "Come with me! We need to get you to safety!"

"B-Back the fuck up!" Shino yelled, a tendril sweeping the things to the ground as they approached, before her secondary appendages went about piercing the skulls of each - killing them - and then moved towards Seven.
Whilst those giant things fought their efforts above, the ground warfare below was just heating up. Shino had bolted, reached for a discarded rifle, and drawn it as her main weapon.
She found the easiest way of dealing with this things was that they were reliable in numbers, but alone they were easy. She used her tendrils to keep them at bay, or to knock them back, before she opened up their faces with a spray of bullets.
She fired into a crowd, dirt impacts and bone fragments flying out before an audible click, and she discarded her rifle, using it as a weapon.
Something lunged at her, and caught a precise bat to the side of the face, cracking its jaw, before a tendril slashed it across the face.
However, she failed to realize her errors. Something had grabbed her in a two-handed bear hug. The sickest part? This thing had four arms, the other two coming about with hooked talons.
It was a miracle she wasn't swarmed, as she warped, ending up on her back, the thing pinned under her, as the momentum of the warp loosened its grip.
A tendril pierced its skull, before launching it into a crowd of beasts, hitting some of the smaller ones, and staggering the larger ones.
It was obvious - by now- though, that they were in a losing battle. Atleast on the ground. These beasts were late to the fray, and most of the attention was divided up into attacking the larger creatures.
She realized, that the ground battle had begun to take a turn. She swung a fist, tendrils forming to give damage to her swing, as she launched onto them a sickening barrage of punches, rendering her fists covered in blood, her hands tearing at the flesh.
Something nipped at her feet, and she palmed it, before she felt a larger creature dive over her, catching her head and bringing her crashing to the ground.
She managed to bash it's face into its chest before she warped, staggering and tripping as she materialized into a world she was familiar with.
She fell into the Iwato house-holds main hallway, holding her torn up hand. She was there but for a second, though, as she warped away, back into the fight, taking a side next to Seven's current positions.
Elliot groaned, a wound tearing into his flesh causing searing pain, as he grasped a four-armed fucker with his hands, tendrils pinning it, as he used it as a ram to break the ragged formations of the enemy, before using his corpse as a weapon of itself.
By now, he had lost all semblance of self preservation. All there was is the enemy, himself, and whatever weapon was grasped in his hand. And with it, he used it well, pure brute strength giving him an over-powering edge.
He bashed one down, as another attempted to grab at his flank, before a loose tendril whipped it square across the face, sending bone-fragments in one direction, the corpses in the others.
He peeked over. Where were the others?
"Wyatt! S- uungh!" He yelled, slapping a claw from his thigh, before a bladed fist ran through whatever it was attacking him, "Seven! Fuck, Averis!"
He groaned, before he grabbed the two nearest creatures and warped, sending them hurtling through the air, as he warped away from them landing safely on his feet.
They impacted the ground around him soon after.
"Fuck sakes!"

((Had to leave in the middle of writing this so I finished as soon as I got back))
-------
Lucas glanced over at Shane when he took his hand and began to explain a few things. About the GCOD. About his near-death experience. About how he wanted the war to end. And about keeping him safe.
"But I don't need all this protection," he said.
Lucas watched Wyatt pull Ardent and Shane up and heading off. He looked after him for a bit before getting up and looking at Seven.
He saw so many people fighting. So then why was he sitting around? He could be helpful. Useful even. Why should he be afraid when no one else seemed to be?
As he started forward, Lucas innocent, child-like demeanor faded. His eyes narrowed in determination and resolve. The larger foes would be a bigger challenge for his wolfen form to take down but the smaller, four-armed creatures would little more than pests.
Changing his form to the large, white wolf once more, he charged towards the creatures that Seven and- previously Wyatt- were fighting, joining the fray himself, ripping smaller foes apart.
Unlike them, dying- at least permanently- wasn't that big of an issue for him. But he'd still fight.
----------
Damien likely had the easiest time fighting. Not only did he have up to seven scythes- 5 of which he could control through telekinesis while the remaining two were in hand- to fight with but also the feathered wings that came with his full form which allowed him to take his fight into the air, helping him to maneuver the larger creatures and- while dodging their attacks- slice through them.
From the air he saw Shino's fight and- while he was doing well enough on his own- it looked like that wouldn't be the case for long. After fighting off two more and looking frustrated, he saw four more coming from behind him.
Leaving five of his scythes in the air to continue fighting the larger creatures, Damien warped behind Shino to slice the monsters behind him.
"Look sharp!"
-----------
Jagger continued warning people, though he was getting a bit bored by playing delivery boy.

"Jesus!" Joselyn screamed, surprised she even had the breath for that. She struggled to simultaneously fight off monsters and keep Colin's back pressed against her own.
Then the sky started falling. "Fuck!" she said. "Col, get-" her sentence was cut short as another creature lunged at her. "-Cover!" she yelled a minute later, when she had enough time to speak. She felt Colin shake his head. "God's sakes!" she said, shoving him with her own body towards the tree where Wyatt crouched. "Fine, cover him or something, just don't die!"

Shino winced, looking behind her, using a tendril to cling onto the side of one of the beast's legs.
As it walked, it flung Shino onto it, before she leapt and warped. She was following Seven's trail. It was easy; beasts toppled visibly from her vantage point, and she could keep a close eye on him.
Occasionally, she'd warp to his position, and cleave a few away, cleave a path. She wasn't making that many dents in the forces. Whatever attempted to get to Seven, she'd attack, and occasionally put in her own offensive tactics.

The boy lifted a sewer lid for the moment, shutting it. "What's going on?" A female voice asked. Like him, she had her face covered in a mask. "It's back, cousin." He said, climbing down. "We should do what we do: stay put until it's done, then collect what we can." The girl nodded.

Meg coughed, spitting red onto the interior of her visor. Gently pulsating red lights all around her vision, warning her of suit breaches, injuries, broken bones...
It seemed that Lucifer was gone, or busy. Or dead. It didn't matter. He wouldn't be coming to save her this time.
She didn't really care right now. A small part of her mind was aware that Wyatt was bending over her. Talking, it seemed. She looked up, the effort taking almost all her willpower, and sending jolts of pain to her skull. There was a rapidly expanding puddle of red around her, staining the ground and soil, not to mention the tree she was leaning against.
She sighed.
I'm going to die, she thought, with absolute clarity. The thought didn't worry her much, for some reason. There was just one thing she needed to do...
Another cough, worse this time. This one splattered not only blood but little bits of... something onto her visor. Wyatt's face was obscured by a film of red now. She popped off her helmet, letting it roll to the floor. She wouldn't need it anymore.
"W-Wyatt. Tell Scott..." What? That she loved him? He knew that damn well already.
"T-tell him-" it was getting colder. She couldn't move her arms if she wanted to, and she felt so, so sleepy.
"-Tell him not to miss me." Tell him to be happy. Tell him to find someone else. Save him the pain and madness that loomed.
Another cough, splattering Wyatt with blood. She leaned against the tree, sliding down. She stared into the sky. Things were getting more and more muffled, the sounds of battle and pain and death more and more alien to her dying mind. Gods were fighting, men were dying, and the earth shook.
In the end, she just stared. Into the bright blue sky. It was almost peaceful. She smiled to herself.
There were worse places to die.
It didn't hurt anymore. Now it was just her. She blinked once, wondering to herself what kind of life Scott would end up living. She prayed it would be a good one.
Then her eyes closed and didn't open again
((yes, she's gone for good. Killed Off For Real. Might want her back in the future, but not for anytime soon.))

Mana awoke once more, he had been dragged dragged away from the fighting by a now dead soldier. His one eye stared into the face of a dead soldier, glassy blue eyes stared into his rose red eye. He reached over to the dead soldier's face with his only arm and closed his eyes, allowing this soldier to sleep. He started to stand, though such a task now hurt him a great deal, his whole body felt as though it was on fire, his heart was beating at an irregular rate, warm blood rushing up his throat and causing him to cough it up.
So this is my limit. he thought. He wondered, how long now did he have, after a battle that had resulted in the end and the beginning of many universes, his most optimistic side said he had a month, the cynical: Two Minutes.
He looked around him, the dead corpses piling up, a sun forming above Matria, starting an unholy heatwave.
Is this how you want to do it, Ulfr? he thought, Is THIS how you want to end things? How have we wronged you? What did we do to bring about this madness from you? He then paused. What did I do? He knew this was all his fault. Ulfr. Architect. Everything was his fault, the actions of a young and violent child.
He could make an excuse, as his only father figure was a drunken man who hated him, and took every chance to reaffirm this to Mana with his words, or his fists. It could've been his first time being experimented on, all of those needles, probes, the shocking, the small needles being stabbed into his eyes, the dissected corpses of other children all around him.
But in the end, those were just excuses.
He had nobody to blame but himself for this. All of this.
He was the original founder of the Architects, he was the one who made the final push that sent Ulfr into the abyss of insanity. He was the one who exiled Ulfr to Outerdark, to the outer reaches of the Multiverse, where he could cause harm to other universes, true, he had not known of other worlds at the time, but he still was responsible for all of the people Ulfr killed outside of their world as well.
He needed to pay for all of this.
I...I can't atone for all of this... He realized.
What could he do in a month or two minutes that he couldn't do in three years?
Mana limped across the battlefield, towards the monsters, his one good rose red eye glowed with an unnatural light as the threads of reality appeared to him.
He tried to concentrate on them but found it hard to do so, he couldn't concentrate just through physical body alone. He needed to actually bring out his soul.
He winced in pain as a pair of skeletal wings that glowed with a golden color extended from his back, and his awareness rose.
He could see everything, the starts around this world, Meg dying, Ana'tuul, Ardent, Tyler, Scott, Elliott, everyone and everything. The focus of his now near omnipresence and omniscience narrowed down to Matria's hostile invaders.
As the sun started to form about Matria, the world seemed to start to bake, like an oven, Mana knew if that sun was allowed to form, it would mean apocalypse for Matria and everyone on it.
He concentrated on the Sun.
That's when it started flickering and shrinking down to a smaller size, Mana was creating the conditions that would create a supernova. His whole body felt fifty times more pain, which kept on adding and adding.
Then he looked for an area in space, a safe distance away from this world, and anything that could cause lasting effects on it, and he teleported the large creatures with the sun. Off in the distance in the stars, there was a great explosion outside of the solar system visible to everyone.
Mana vomited blood, and passed out from pain.
Still alive, for now.

(Awh D=> Sad to see Meg go. Scott's bound to be messed up now)
Seven looked up, his breath haggard as he wiped a thick black film from his sword. He could see the creatures ever approaching on the horizon, cruel and unrelenting. the reaction raising spell he'd cast upon himself was wearing heavily upon his aching muscles. He could hardly breathe.
When he stopped moving he saw a giant hand fly towards him, ready to crush his bones to a pulp. His stomach turned over, and he cringed, looking away. When no crushing pain ground his bones to a messy pulp he looked up, relief crossing his face as he spied Shino, holding back the beast with a dark, thick mass of tendrils. In another second a giant wolf creature had burst fourth to finish it off. Seven was surprised for a second, then his face twisted into a smile.
"Shino!" he shouted, rushing to the girl, his face lit up. He blinked when he noticed her arm.
"You're hurt." he said, taking her hand gently. He chanted a few words in the slight pocket of time they had, knitting together the wounded flesh.
"Where is your brother?" Seven asked, looking around, a sheilding spell momentarily saving them from being crushed by another giant, "We have to call off this attack. There are too many of them to fight! We're all going to end up dead if this keeps up." he could feel depletion edging at him already. Too much magic. They had to stop soon.
"Try to gather as many people as you can! Get them out of here! We'll meet once we've found a safe spot. Track my signature, I'll let you know when I find something." He turned to Lucas, "and you." he looked about, "Stay with me. You seem to be a bright enough creature whoever you are." he smiled, "We can use all the help we can get."
He looked up, eyes narrowing at the monsters as more approached. Sweat poured down his face. The world seemed to be growing hotter, the air growing thick. This was getting bad. Very bad.
"I fear..." he breathed, shaking a bit, "I fear we're going to need it."
----------------------
Wyatt knelt down beside Meg. It seemed the girl was much worse for ware than he'd imagined. She was coughing blood, breathing laboured, gritty breaths. Already Wyatt's hands were aglow with magic, but even that seemed too slow. It was too little too late.
"M-meg, hold on!" Panic crossed Wyatt's face. He couldn't lose her. In all this madness she seemed one of the few sane ones left in the GCOD. One of the few he still trusted. Of all the people who could have died on the field of battle, she was the one who deserved it least. Hands aglow with magic he pressed his hands against her chest, words of power spilling from his lips.
"Father!" it was Shane's small voice that made him open his eyes again, "look!"
Wyatt froze in terror. For everything he knew of magic, for all it could do, he watched as the sparks of blue light flickered about the girl's chest and then faded away, leaving nothing changed. Wyatt paled, meeting the girl's eyes with a look of pure terror.
He took her hand lightly, and he listened as she spoke. She spoke of Scott. Of forgiveness. Of moving on. And then, she moved on. That was when the sky turned red.
All of a sudden all the golems disappeared, and the hot, red Matrian sun flared with an anger Wyatt had previously never seen. Fear crossed his face as the air grew thick, and seemed to crack and then scream.
"The gods usually mourn the death of the fallen good with tears of rain." Shane said quietly, "But today... they're angry. Furious even." His face with stony and grim, "We've done them wrong."
The sun flared, went small, and then expanded. And then everything was gone.
In a second they found themselves sitting in the middle of a grassy field. The giants were nowhere to be seen, and a pang sounded in the back of Shane's mind as a million little lights blinked out. Shane looked to the sky, heart suddenly heavy and he knew what had happened, as they all did. Matria was gone.
For a second no one spoke. Then Wyatt stood, taking Meg's now cold, limp body into his arms. He could see the rest of the GCOD in the distance, battered, war torn.
"Come on, Shane, Ardent, Colin." he spoke softly as he headed off towards the soldiers. He stood at the edge of the camp silently, a solemn expression across his blood splattered face as he held Meg in his arms, shoulders clutched in his good arm, her legs draped over his metal stub. He stood silently, wavering a bit of his feet as depletion pulled at him. He could see the remains of the Brotherhood in the distance, recouperating from the battle. He didn't dare speak now. There was nothing to say.
