Brianna was relaxing, almost relaxed enough to take a nap when a strange feeling caused her to sit up quite suddenly and stare at the TV.
"Guys?" She called out, leading Brandon to enter the room. "What's wrong?" Brandon asked. "Do you feel anything...strange?" Brianna asked back. "Not exactly, why?" Brandon thought of a reason. "Uh, sis...listen, I know you still miss Shane, but-" "-That's not it...well, 100% it. Something weird about the places we were just in." Brianna answered. "Something...violent."
Twili walked in, wondering why Brandon just up and walked away from sitting with her. "What's the matter, you two?" She asked. "Brianna has some weird, violent feeling regarding the places we've been to the past few days." Brandon said, not quite sure what to make of it. "I just have a bad feeling about this." Brianna added.
Brandon and Twili wondered why she felt this way before coming to a proper conclusion. "Maybe it's all the magic we've been around. Besides, with how close you are with Shane, I wouldn't be surprised if you can...well, 'sense' him like he does with signatures." Brandon said. "Maybe, I know it's not just cause I miss him. It's only been about half a day, right? I just can't help but think there's still some kind of war going on around him." Brianna explained. "I guess being around mages might let you sense signatures." "Does it tell you anything else about him? His condition, maybe?" Twili asked. "Let me see." Brianna tried to focus on what she was sensing from him. "Just...all sorts of pain. If I can feel it, I'm sure he's still alive, but...he's in pain."
Brandon and Twili glanced at each other and back to Brianna. "Come sit with us for now, sis. We can hope that Shane and everyone else are okay together." Brandon suggested. Brianna nodded, getting up and standing between them. "You guys are the best, you know that?" "We try." Twili laughed, with her and Brandon taking each of her hands and sitting down in the living room.
Brianna sat back, smiling. She noticed the fake fruit on the table in front of them, something attracting her attention. She picked up the apple and held it. "You know that's plastic, right, sis?" Brandon warned. "I'm not eating it, silly." Brianna replied. "Then what are you doing with it?" Twili asked. "Just...looking at it. It just reminds me of Shane for some reason." Brianna commented. "Small, yet cute." "I don't think he'd like the former comment." Brandon laughed. "It still fits him, so I don't care. Maybe I should have an actual one tonight, so I know he'll be okay." Brianna said back.

Ana'tuul's head was bowed, his arms spread. Matria was indeed gone, in a sense. The landscape was changed. The small chunk of land where the Oldest Flame had been had morphed, rising, falling, changing. A mountain rose like some ancient flower, and wilted just as fast as time fluctuated around it.
Crevices opened and closed, the ground heaved and churned. It was odd, while the rest of the world remained untouched, this small valley seemed to boil and change. Ancient magic thought suppressed and expired began to break out, heralded by white shafts of light breaking out from the valley.
Finally, the land began to calm, but the magic remained, seeping out into the world. Ana'tuul lowered his hands.
The trap was set. This world, was now the ultimate bastion of arcane power.
------
Ardent blinked, looking from Wyatt to Shane. "Is it over?"

The boy grabbed a pocket periscope and carefully eased it up a manhole. "Well?" "Wait." He moved it around, letting her look as well.

Elliot came up a ridge, tackled over it. He ran a thin, spiked tendril, piercing the skull of the beast before he managed to reclaim his settings.
He winced, holding his bruised side. He clambered away from the fray. Just a moment of respiration wouldn't hurt?
And what appeared to be just a simple patch of grass, rocks and corpses, turned into relief. He saw Wyatt, Shane, and then his eyes tracked their trajectory.
"Aww, no..." He said, stumbling up the hill to the groups. "Ah, shit. Please, no."
He allowed his crystals to dissipate, crystalinne shards and smoke marking their retreat back into his spinal cord, "Oh, no... Wyatt.. can you..."
He stood, quietly, behind the group. He had nothing to offer to help her, and nothing to assist her. He ran a hand through his hair. He wasn't sure how to feel.
On one end, he absoloutely hated Meg. She was caustic, to the point, and was very much so rude, if anything because she was brutally honest. But on another part, she represented another limb of the little family that had formed out of that event at the Hotels.
And here she was, dead. He didn't want to see it. He turned and looked away. He sniffed into his hand.
The air got hotter, and hotter, and he presumed it to be his emotions. However, he was normally good at hiding his emotions. He'd done it with Ratio's death, very well in-fact.
But it turned into a bodily expansion of heat, and he turned around, facing towards this epi-center of pure heat. He could feel it in his core. It made it harder to breath, ahd he soon felt like stripping naked in an icefield.
And then this boy, this kid, this teenager, this man - whatever he was, Elliot couldn't tell - had approached and step forward. He had wings. And for a second, he thought maybe he was an angel, or Matti.
Either way, he stepped back, and then, it happened. It was a loud, loud sound, Golemns falling, and then they were gone, only their debris and such left.
He looked to the boy. Some part of him felt it was his fault. Rather, his doing. He had to thank him after this.
And when the battlefield had cleared, he looked to the skies. What horrors had, or been seen, all paled in the pure beauty of what he saw now.
For what he saw in it, destruction, resolve, fear, horror - the pure beauty of it was enough to near bring him further to tears - but for now, he returned to follow Wyatt.
Shino nodded, "Thank you, Seven." She said, panting. She was choked up for a second, her lungs feeling heavy, thick with dust and grime.
The entire events of the battle stormed past her, staring in wonder, and the surprisingly display of power as the very Earth she stood on warped and contoured.
She ran, bolted, warped. She had to get away from the mountain that had just spawned. It knocked her onto her feet, before it sunk back into the ground, and she warped away, collapsing onto her feet near the end of the defensive line.
From here, she could see Matti. He was looking worse for wear for someone who didn't do any of the fighting. He was covered in blood. It was up to his shoulders, on his face, neck, chest, clothing. It was cracked into his hair.
Countless corpses and such laid around him, and even more so were wounded people. He was getting around to the most urgent, but it was a rush. He had to deal with them, and the medics had to deal with some of the others and he had to hop between the two.
Shino, just staggered away for a place to sit, feeling sore...

Wyatt's eyes met Elliot's, grim and solemn. At any other time, witnessing the death of such a close companion, Wyatt might have been reduced to hysterics, still trying to revive a body that was obviously dead, or whimpering over the horrible death that had just occurred. But not this time.
This time Wyatt was stone faced and silent, his face simply looking worn and tired, not to mention blood stained. He shook his head at Elliot's question, his face never moving.
"There is nothing." he said quietly, "By the time I got to her, her body had already given up. My magic could do nothing to save her."
He looked out upon the field of bodies, following Elliot's gaze. The valley was filled with blood. Stained by pools of red and black. It made the once green hills look like they had decayed into a pool of blackness and death. Strangely, Wyatt was reminded of purgatory's landscape. The real purgatory. He glanced back at Ardent and nodded.
"This battle has ended, yes." he said quietly, "There will be more like this in the future I fear but..." his breath caught for a split second. He listened to the churning magic underneath him. It felt like the earth was rumbling, everything practically tembling with magic power. Something was waking.
"But I fear our roles in this war are rapidly approaching their end."
His eyes met Elliot's again after a few seconds, weary. He could tell the man was fighting emotion, something he rarely ever saw in him. He lowered his head.
"I'm sorry." he spoke softly, "Our ranks are growing smaller. It is difficult to accept, I know."
Shane clung quietly to Wyatt's arm, his other hand wrapped firmly around Ardent's as they approached the GCOD camp, or rather, what was left of it. Wyatt knew already they were being watched, marked as hostiles just for their powers alone.
"I'm looking for Scott." Wyatt informed Elliot, "Have you seen him?"
Shane just scoured the camp. His mind was focused on something different. In the back of his mind he had heard screaming, pain. He knew it was Mana who had stopped the golems, and he knew that he was hurt now. He was withering, dying, and it hurt Shane to the core to think about it.
"Mana.." he whispered, looking around, "Mana where are you?" --------------
Averis closed her eyes and fell back into her body. It had been a bloody war. She knew that much. A choking breath filled her lungs as she bolted up, heart racing back into action. She'd reaped every one of the souls that had died. It was grueling. Some had gone quietly, other still clinging tearfully to their bodies. She'd reaped quite a few children as well. Mage children it seemed. Most of them fought her. The one that had been the most difficult for her, though, was Meg. It seemed they'd lost another on the field of battle. Their exchange had been wordless, and her soul had gone quite easily. For Averis, it shook her deeply.
She looked around now. Her job now was to find someone. Seven most likely. She was closer to him. She closed her eyes, zeroed in on his signature, and bolted towards him. He was accompanied by a large wolf. It was covered in black blood, but she could tell its fur was white. She approached the two of them carefully.
"Averis..." Seven spoke softly, taking a step forward, but quickly collapsed as he did, unable to move any more.
"Seven!" Averis gave a shout, "Are you alright?" she rushed to her master's side, putting an arm around him.
"'m fine..." Seven's answer was mumbled and quiet. In reality, he just wanted to rest his eyes. There was a voice in the back of his head that he'd been meaning to consult.
You took back control rather nicely. the voice said, I thought I was going to have to do all the work for you. I'm impressed.
I'm much better than that. Seven replied, You should know me better than that by now. You know I don't give up.
You were ready to.
Seven paused for a moment. The darkness wafted between the two of them.
It's been a long journey, Seven. Ratio's voice went on, I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to give in and go home.
We've got no home to return to now. Seven replied.
Ye of little faith. Ratio chuckled, It is not destroyed. Simply changed. Just because something is different doesn't mean it is gone.
Seven chuckled, You've taught me that well enough. he smiled, Once we restore you to your body, we'll have to make a lot of changes ourselves.
There was a hesitation. For a moment, Seven had thought Ratio had retreated.
Ratio?
Seven... I'm tired.
Then rest. I can understand that.
No, I mean... tired in a different way.
What do you mean?
Seven, I fear after this is over... I do not plan on returning to the brotherhood. I think... I think I would rather if I could finally just rest.

For a moment, maybe more, Colin k es nothing but the blinding heat. Then, quick as a thought, it was gone. Colin turned around, looking for answers or other creatures to fend off. Instead, he saw Wyatt holding Meg's inert body. "Oh God," he said before collapsing to the ground, retching. He had'nt known Meg. At most he'd said a few words to her. He hardly even remembered her name. But seeing her dead in Wyatt's arms brought on a panic that he had never felt before, even while the battle raged.

Matti was near tears.
"Hold it do- HOLD IT!" Matti yelled, as he needed the assistance of an un-trained Soldier to hold the flaps of his dead friend's stomach open, as the Medics handled the other severe wounds.
His hand was clamped on the organs of a man whom looked into his early forties, screaming in pain, as rock chunks obliteration his stomach.
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" He yelled, as he seared the organ's flesh into place, and healed the wounds. His other hand worked to keep intestines from spilling out.
Elliot nodded, following Wyatt.
"I'm not sure." He said, keeping his eyes locked on the battlefield. He had no idea how to handle this, how to be capable enough to lead someone through this, or even for that matter, lead himself through this. And if what he could tell, some-time in the future, in the dark, dark place where Grave Digger comes from, he's a leader.
He should of asked for tips.
Shino sat against a tank, holding her head in her hands, coughing and spluttering to get ash, dirt and grime out of her lungs, as she looked at her wounds. Mostly scrapes, bruises and cunts, but she did injure her wrist pretty badly.

Wyatt locked eyes with Elliot again, this time, a hint of sympathy in them. He nodded to the man.
"You're not sure of a lot of things it seems." he said, smiling a bit, "But none of us are. Not even Seven or Ratio. None of us can be certain." he looked ahead, "We just need to press on. We have something to fight for, that's something not a lot of people have. I didn't have it for a long time."
He locked eyes with Elliot again, "You taught me a lot of things, Elliot. You taught me to look any adversary right in the face. That in any odds, you should never, never back down, lest you'll lose the things you hold most dear." he glanced at his new, metal limbs and winced a bit, "Perhaps I should temper that philosophy a bit. But even so, I might have been maimed a bit, but I'm still standing." he smiled at Elliot, "We'll make it through this. Maybe crawling with our guts spilling from our bellies, but we'll make it none the less."
---- Shane put a hand against Colin's back, rubbing in between his shoulders. He knew how war could effect someone who wasn't used to the looks and smells of death. It was a terrifying thing all around. He knew the feeling.
"Come on." he took Colin's hand quietly, "The giants are gone. We don't need to hang around the body if you don't want to."
He looked around, scouring the land still for Mana. His heart was pounding for some reason, as if he was nervous he would be too late once he found him.
"Mana." He whispered, looking around, trying to search him out among the bodies, "Mana where are you? Can you hear me?"
At last he spotted something. A flickering red light, billowing up from the ground. Mana's signature. Shane's eyes widened and he bolted towards the glowing beam, dragging Colin along with him.
"Mana!" he shouted, "Mana, is that you?" ----------------
Averis gave a shout as Seven fell, depletion taking him over.
"Shino!?" She scoured the crowd, dragging Seven along with her, "Shino I need help! Seven's down!" she growled a bit looking around, "Wyatt?! Shane? Mana? Ye merciful gods, where ARE you?"

Ulfr stopped two feet from Mana's unconscious body.
"Stupid as ever," Ulfr said, "your self sacrifice for people that will double cross you when push comes to shove. You never fully understood the full corruption of the sentient mind, you're too optimistic." He glared down at Mana, "I could kill you...right now... I know you're gonna get medical help, and it's gonna happen all over again." He paused, a colt pistol pointed at his counterpart's head. The hand trembled before the colt went back into his holster. "But to what end, you'll die in another good two weeks or a month, and I'll have won."
He looked over to see Shane coming.
His eyes glowed red as he smirked, "Hello Shane, nice weather you're having in Matria."

Shane's blood ran cold. He wasn't sure what to be more terrified by. Mana's body, lying, blood running from his open mouth, looking nearer to death than Shane had ever seen him, or the sight of Ulfr standing over him with a gun pointed to his head.
"No!" Shane shouted, heart pounding. His hands rose and a bolt of lightning struck between Ulfr and Mana, as if warning him not to move any closer.
"D-don't come any closer!" Shane shouted, terror hitching in his voice. Magic brimmed at his finger tips, magic spinning through his mind, but he was too frightened to focus on just one spell, "J-just... don't! Don't do it you... you monster!" he closed his eyes, tears streaming down his face. He was terrified, but he wouldn't let Ulfr kill Mana. He couldn't watch it. He wouldn't.

Ulfr smacked aside the bolt of lightning and looked at Shane with his red eyes.
"Oh please, I'm not going to kill him. He has to see that he's the one in the wrong, before he dies."

"What do you mean?" Shane asked, his eyes narrowing at Ulfr, "He's not wrong, he's trying to help us!"
He stared Ulfr now, eyes wide with disbelief. How could this man, this monster, honestly believe that he was in the right? This man who had destroyed universes, who had killed so many, who had ruined so many lives? How could someone like that truly believe they were being good? That their work was justified. Shane scowled, disgusted.
"Mana is just trying to help us." Shane protested, "He's trying to help people! All you do is make them hurt, you kill people and hurt and destroy. You think yourself a god Ulfr... but you're blind. All you're doing is hurting your own cause. You're just a... a blind, angry old man!" He glared at Ulfr, "And Mana's twice the man you could ever be."

Damien had paused his fighting when he noticed the sun forming, getting bigger and bigger. Then it began flickering and shrinking. The creatures they'd been tirelessly fighting vanishing along with it. A far of explosion following. Having not really known Mana, Damien wasn't sure how it had occurred. Nevertheless, the battle- this one at least- was over.
It lightened his load a bit, allowing Death to lower himself to the ground and focus on the countless souls that needed his guidance. Like the ones Averis had to deal with, many were in denial about their deaths. Many refused to come, clinging to life as much as they could despite the fact that it was too late. There was no way he could return them to their bodies- maimed and far from able to hold the souls any longer. Some came easily, knowing full well that it was over.
He worked through the heat, noting the wasteland that the valley had become, covered in dark blood and the bodies of those who fought- some 'til their very last breath. As he continued with the last of the souls, he felt his brother approaching from behind.
Jagger had been late to the fray, though he had managed to take a few of the smaller creatures out before Mana had warped them.
"So, it's over..?" Jagger asked, voice quieter than usual; Softer.
"No, Jagger," he responded. "This battle may be over but the war is far from it."
"I know."
Retracting his wings, Damien stood up and began to search for the others, Jagger following behind.
--------
When Seven had addressed him, he'd been quick to listen. Seven hadn't known that he had been a human the last time he saw him. He'd nodded in answer.
He'd stayed with Seven nonetheless. He'd fought with him, no matter how exhausting the fighting became. Under this fur, the heat felt so much worse than it would have been had he still been in his boy form.
When they'd all disappeared with the growing sun, Lucas had glanced around, somewhat confused. Lucas- not as accustomed to battle, death and bloodshed as his brothers or these people we- began to shake a little bit as an aftershock.
He looked up when Averis approached, wrapping an arm around the one called Seven.
When he collasped, he moved a little closer, fearing the worst. Averis began dragging him along, calling for people whose names he didn't recognize. He quietly followed, shaking a little as he slowly reverted back into a boy, still covered and blood. The sight itself was surreal and horrifying. A boy looking as young and innocent as him, shaking and stained head to toe in blood, just didn't look right at all; Just disturbing in the utmost of ways.

Ulfr frowned, "Oh?" He stepped forward towards Shane. "And what makes you any different? What about the people you have killed? The GCOD, they must have a high body count and they've got access to different worlds, who knows how many worlds they've ravaged to get the amount of resources they have. But you want to know something? No matter what you or I do in this world: People. Will. Die."
At this point he was towering over Shane, his red eyes glowing in shadow he cast over on the little mage.
Suddenly, everything went dark around Ulfr and Shane and there was nothing but blackness all about them. Then they appeared to be floating above Earth, or one of the many infinite Earths.
"Go on, take a step."

"Wyatt? Elliot? Jagger? Ye gods will someone just come here and help me!" Averis shouted, hauling Seven along as she did. The wolf had followed it seemed. A loyal enough beast as it were.
Averis blinked when she looked at the creature again. Instead of seeing a wolf, a child was there. The same child who had led them to Ardent and Shane before. Averis deadpanned.
"Y-you! You're that boy!" Averis cried, looking at him, "Ye-... ye gods I didn't even realize you were..."
She knelt down, cleaning some of the blood off the boy's face, "Have you seen Wyatt or any of the others? Or.. no, stupid he was the wolf!" Averis let out a cry of disdain, pounding the middle of her forehead lightly with her fist. She looked the boy over. He looked frightened.
"We're going to get you back to your brothers, okay?" she assured the boy, trying to smile, "Just as soon as I find someone who can stop Seven from dying of depletion... I'll be right on that."
------------------------------------------- Shane stared at Ulfr for a few seconds, trying to get his bearing. One second they were on the ground and the next they were floating, out in space somewhere. He looked down, fearing what Ulfr would do when he obeyed his command.
"I... I'm not saying I'm different." Shane said quietly, "People kill, lots of people do. It's... it's not a good thing, but they do it, either because they believe they have to, or because they're afraid, or because they think its right." he shook his head, "I'm not naive enough to think that all violence would stop or could be stopped... I just... don't think that it's right for everyone to have to die. I don't think they need to." He looked into the man's eyes, still trembling. He knew at any moment Ulfr could decide to destroy him, but he wasn't afraid. His father hadn't been, staring into madness, and neither was he.
"I just don't think that everyone needs to die. There's still good out there somewhere. You just have to let it grow."
With that, the young boy took a step, trembling, and covered his eyes, for fear of what would happen to him when he did.

Numbly, Colin followed behind Shane. He caught about half the conversation between him and Ulfr, spending the other half trying not to vomit again. He was shaken awake when they disappeared.
"Shane?" He called, feeling stupid and knowing it was futile.
Mana was lying on the ground. Colin knelt next to him and felt for his pulse. It was weak. "Help!" He called out, hoping someone was nearby. "He needs help!" He leaned down next to Mana's head. "Are you alive?" He whispered.

Still trembling, Lucas glanced up at Averis when she knelt down in front of him, looking him over as she wiped some of the blood from his face. He watched her realize her mistake but he barely registered her voice through the pounding in his ears from the adrenaline of the fight that was quickly fading and allowing his mind to finally process what was happening.
The bodies. The blood. The war-zone. It all seemed so foreign to him now. As old as he was and as used to pain, Lucas' did not have the mentality to handle all of this so easily.
When Averis promised to get him back to his brothers, that eased him just as little bit. He could see her attempts to offer a smile, but he could see how difficult it was for her. First, Seven had to be taken care of. He remembered faintly that she'd just called out a few more names, one of which was familiar to him.
"J-Jagger? Do you know Jagger?" He asked, voice still trembling slightly with his body.
It was then that Damien Jagger spotted Averis and Seven. They quickly approached them.
"Averis! Seven! Is he still alive-" Damien stopped, freezing in shock when he noticed the blood-covered boy next to Averis. "God, Lucas... What are you doing out here?!"
Jagger moved to Seven, wondering himself why Lucas was out here, too.
"Oh boy..." He said.

Elliot perked his ears up.
He laughed, as Wyatt spoke, and slightly flushed, "Not sure who has been teaching you that, but it sure as fuck wasn't me."
He smiled at Wyatt, half-tearing at a clutch of grass, before names' on the wind carried past him. Shino, then him. He looked for Shino, and wasn't quite sure where she was.
Even if she could find him, she'd probably not want a thing to do with him. In-fact, after this whole fiasco...
"I... think that's Averis..." Elliot half-said to anyone around him, before standing up. He pottered down from his hill, and stumbled upon the battlefield.
It was sick, blood, half-destroyed tanks, fires raging, people still crying out in pain, some being hauled away by people looking like they should get some good healthcare.
And then there was Averis, holding Seven, and thensome.
He warped, coming to a point next to Averis.
"Oh God, Seven..." He said, running to the boy and cupping his cheeks, attempting to get him to atleast open his eyes, "Seven! Seven!"
He let go, gently at that, "Fuck. Get him over to Matti, he's on the hill up there." He said, pointing to a half-circle of tanks, and a folded out canvas tent.

A wry smile pulled at Wyatt's lips, "If only you knew.."
All of a sudden he heard screaming. Two cries, infact. One was from Colin, who had evidentally wandered away from him, and the other from Averis. He glanced at Elliot.
"Y-..you go help Averis." he instructed, rushing towards Colin, "I... I need to make sure Colin's alright! ah-..!" He quickly handed over Meg's body to Elliot, "Here! If you find Scott tell him..." he hesitated, remembering Meg's words, "Tell him I am so, SO sorry." With that he turned and made a dash for the boy.
Wyatt approached the boy as quickly as he could, noticing at once the broken, bloodied body of Mana that was lying before him.
"Ye merciful gods.." Wyatt breathed, glancing at Colin," A-alright. Let's be calm about this. He has a pulse right?" Wyatt sat down and began chanting a healing spell, hoping they were in time to save the man's life. They had seen the catastrophic outcome of Mana's death before. They didn't need to see him dead now.
Relief flooded Averis's face upon seeing Elliot. She smiled wearily,
"Thank the gods!" she cried, "I-it's Seven. He's gone into depletion! I'm.. I'm not sure how far gone he is, but I fear he may leave us!" she held him tight, "His body is entirely overwhelmed. I can feel him wanting to fade."
She stood, locking eyes with Elliot and nodded, "We'll take him there. Thank you so much." She sprinted up the hill and lay Seven's body before Matti. Exhausted, Averis fell to her knees, letting Seven's body tumble from her arms before Matti. She looked up at the angel with a panicked expression on her face, and a pleading look in her eyes.
"Help." was all she managed to choke out.

"Yeah, but it's faint," Colin said. Handing control over to Wyatt seemed to help him regain some of his own self-control. He ripped off a piece of his shirt and used it to dab at Manta's wounds, trying to judge which were the worst.

Matti had managed to get the situation to a point where the criticals had been handled, and the minor cuts and bruises were being treated, and some broken bones.
He had a small bowl of water, for which he could use to get all the blood off his hands, before a sound of footsteps made Matti turn around.
Averis, he thought. And why was she so panicked?
He peeked over the side of the hill and saw Seven.
"Oh, Averis." He said, cupping the girl around the shoulders, handing her a canteen, "Drink, rest, rest."
He left her with the bottle, and cupped Seven around the back of the knees and neck, and placed him onto a nearby stretcher.
He pressed a hand to Seven's heart, warm, gold tendrils seeping into his flesh, "What happened to hims?"

((Wow, you guys move fast. What happened?))
As the men brawled, Sakura leaned over the stairwell. At first, she didn't know if she could do much. Then an idea formed in her head. "Hey, Akuma! Do you want to know what happened to your old man?" Kenichi looked up.

Scott's visor was cracked, and blood was leaking out of the numerous gashes and cuts in the suit armor. But he didn't scream, cry out or even, for that matter, make a single sound.
Deep down inside, he wanted to. He wanted to scream, beat the ground till his bones broke and he passed out.
But he didn't. He kept still, staring dumbly at Elliot's cargo. No words to be said.
So, silently, he took her body from Elliot's arms and walked off.

Wyatt watched carefully over his shoulder as Scott retrieved Meg's body and left without saying a word. He could feel the agony rolling off the man as he took the body of his dead friend- no, far more than a friend- into his arms and began to walk away. For several seconds Wyatt was rendered speechless. Almost breathless. He knew the he and Scott hadn't exactly seen eye to eye lately. It was difficult when the man you once knew was replaced by a vicious killer who had murdered your son right before your eyes, but even so, Wyatt stood for a moment, and called back to him, but when he spoke he felt that he spoke to the Scott that he'd once knew, instead of the cold, unfeeling man he'd been replaced with.
"Scott!" he called back, "Sh-.. she said to..." he stopped himself. Somehow he knew that those words weren't going to make him feel much better, so he changed his intent, "I am so... SO sorry."
With that he turned and went back to trying to heal Mana's broken body. He had managed to stop most of the bleeding he felt, but his breathing was still rather haggard. He glanced at Colin.
"Put your hand here." he said quietly, indicating with his own, "There is... something I would like you to try. Repeat these words after me." he began chanting, much slower than before so that Colin could catch the words. He was almost certain Mana would recover now. There was just a bit more work to do. ----
Averis nodded, taking the water and drinking it down in large gulps. She looked up to Matti at last, panting a little.
"He's.. he's in depletion." Averis said again, "It looks like its really bad. His signature is really low, I... I feel like I can just barely..."
"Oh, hello Matti."
Averis nearly choked on her water. One second Seven had been lying in depletion, and the next he was staring up at him calmly, eyes open, looking just about as concerned about his nearly destroyed signature as a child would be about politics and taxes. There was a strange look about him this time. One not of Seven, but that seemed almost more akin to Ratio. The necromancer frowned a little bit.
"Sev..." the girl began, but stopped herself, "Ratio?"
A smile crossed the man's face, "Good guess." he said, nodding before looking back up at Matti, "Long time no see, isn't it?"

"Don't call my dad an old man!" Kenichi yelled to her. Even so, he got off of Mitsutaka. "What happened?" "Yuri Tsaiban's spirit told me before I assume he moved on. He said your daddy was dragged to hell." "You're lying!" Kenichi failed to notice that Mitsutaka got up and retrieved his sword as he went up to where Sakura was. "Sakura, go back!" Mitsutaka told her. Ok, maybe this was a bad idea to go unarmed. "Sorry, father. I can't. Not yet." She told him, turning to Kenichi. "I'm not, happily for me. Yuri said that he asked a few locals for information. Apparently, he's denser than you because he thought he'd get help. What he didn't realize was they still remember what he did to Yuri those years ago. So, they told him he could find something in the last stall of the second-floor ladies' bathroom because they said I may have hidden something there. They told him to sit so he could find it easier. Well, that moron didn't know that's where Aka Manto's stomping, or rather haunting, grounds are." "That's just an urban legend!" He yelled. "He went snooping in the last stall and sat as instructed. Do I need to spell it out for you? All right. He heard Aka Manto ask if he wanted red or blue paper. He must know at least on some level not to ask for either, so he said 'white'. Well, he was dragged down to hell." "Shut up!" He raised his hand, when Sakura blocked it. She smirked and kicked his knee out, before shoving him down the stairs.

Shino stood up, stumbling and spluttering, coming over to Matti. He might as well get checked up, atleast for the coughing atleast. Really, she should of gotten it out of her system by now.
But she guessed it was just that. Destroying those rock golems kicked up alot of dirt, and she had her mouth open the entire time.
She sighed, and placed one of her hand's on Averis shoulder, as she walked past.
It was when she saw Seven and Matti standing over him that she got worried, but that eminent relief flooded over her when Seven shook awake, as bright as ever, with this energy that you could just feel roll off of him.
And then her heart fell into her stomach, and Matti appeared the same.
"Ratio?" Matti said, his hand still over Seven's heart, looking down at the man, in the eyes, "... They.... told me you were dead."
His eyes widenned, but a smooth, warm smile came up onto his face, "As grand in your appearances as ever, Ratio." Matti said.
Shino could barely contain herself. She was finding it a little hard to comprehend this. In-fact, it was pretty obvious it was driving her mental. Especially when she cupped Seven by the cheeks and shook him a bit, "Seven! Seven! You in there!?"
Matti raised a hand to the girl, gently stopping her rapid shaking of Seven, "Ssh, It's okay, Shino. I doubt Ratio would attempt to hurt Seven."

Suddenly, the world that they had been spectating exploded, everything started falling apart around it, black holes started to appear, and the universe crumbled in on itself. Leaving Shane and Ulfr to the blackness.
Ulfr glared down at the ground next to him, and another world appeared.
"Again."

(ohgod.. why am I so bad at posting now D'X fuuuck)
Ratio smirked a bit through Seven's body, staring up at Matti with a tired, though relieved that the man was able to recognize him so quickly. It would save him a goodly amount of explaining that he would no doubt have to do if he was asked why Seven was suddenly acting so strangely.
"You always were a sharp one, Matti." he complimented the angel, nodding, "Though, grand's not the word I'd use for my current state of affairs. Unfortunately the word you hear was true. I am quite dead again I'm afraid... or mostly dead." he frowned, " Technically dead anyway. My body was taken over by a demon pariah and I was forced into hell. Tortured for a while, too, courtesy of Marcus." he smiled ruefully at Elliot, "He sends his best by the way."
That was when Shino began to shake him. He gave a little shout, taken off his guard, but was grateful when Matti stopped her.
"Y-ye merciful gods, Shino." he shook his head, "I'm still in depletion, don't do that"
Groaning a bit, Ratio righted himself, shaking his head, "Seven's still in there. He's just exhausted. It seems when his mind falls unconscious mine is pushed to the front. Funny thing about sharing a head." he put a hand against his forehead, "So, could someone get me up to speed."
"We're about as lost as you are, Ratio." Averis replied sadly, "We're not even sure who's alive and who isn't." she lowered her head a bit, "I... I saw Wyatt with Meg... her body anyway."
Ratio's face paled, "Then.... then Meg has..." he lowered his head, "Yet another to the dust. Ulfr is hitting us hard." he looked up, "Are we still on Matria?"
Averis nodded, "Is.. is there something wrong?"
"It feels... odd." Ratio replied, looking around, "The magic feels like it's been concentrated... pooled together. The world has been changed."
Averis shivered. Without her signature she could no longer feel the magic coursing through the land, but she knew Seven could, and by extention, so could Ratio. A look of concern crossed her face as she watched the man grow paler and paler.
"No, something isn't right about this." he said, attempting to right himself, but quickly falling back to the ground from fatigue, " This isn't a nautral shift. This was done by someone... something." his eyes narrowed, "And it wasn't Ulfr... that I'm certain of."
------------
Shane's breath caught in his throat as he watched the shards of the planet float by him, feeling a million little signatures blink out in an instant.
"N-No..." Shane's face was a mask of horror as he stared at Ulfr, "You can't... you can't do that, Ulfr!"
He looked up at the man, "There were lives down there.... there are people who are trying to make their worlds better... you can't just destroy them. No matter how useless they may seem to you.... they... they mean something to someone." he looked down sadly at the shards as they drifted by, "They... they all do."
He shook his head, "Why are you showing me this?"
